A lot of people can easily claim to be insulted because they like a certain thing, but have you ever been horribly insulted by people because you DON'T like something?

I have, and it's a common one: football. Particularly the World Cup. I don't see the point of it really. The World Cup is just an excuse for countries to slag each other off and be free from racism accusations. I fail to see how 11 particular people from your country being better than 11 people from someone else's country is a cause for country-wide celebration. Call me crazy, but I just don't get it in the slightest.

And football fans are eager to 'correct me' when they hear I don't like football. Mostly their correction methods consist of shouting insults, but maybe they genuinely believe they're helping me to join in on the pathetic sports culture we've created for ourselves.

I am indifferent to football so I can't comment on that.

I have however been insulted for not liking meat (I am a vegetarian as of late, yes), for not liking cricket, for not liking Glee and for not liking chocolate.

Lol, I am in a massive flame war with some people on YouTube right now. What I wrote was a reply to a video that guest starred the popular YouTube sensation Ryan Higa from Niga Higa. Basically what I said was.

"He has fuck all videos. He has 75 yet I don't get why everyone loves him and his videos, not to be that one guy in the comment section who is a dick but... he rarely makes me laugh with any of his videos."

I can see how some people can take offense but then all the vulgar insults I got were this

"did u get the jokes? idc wht u thnk, myb thrs smthn wrng w/ u, its fnny, and try to mnd ur own replies,if its gonna b a negative comment, why post it?? noone cares...ur in the place where ppl think he's awesome and ur like just.....bleh, read all the comments and look if anyone has the same comment as urs

so just stfu *****.....sry get hyper sometimes...o_O"

I replied but I won't show th entire argument because it would be too long.
But basically my replies were saying things like "I know he is probably a nice guy to hang around but he doesn't make laugh, I still think it is great that he makes so many people laugh but personally I don't enjoy his comedic prowess"

If you want to check the arguments than go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4pqdgGEOU0

my first argument is on page 3 and my account name is JakeJohnRogers if you read all the people who replied to be it is phenomenal how angry and insulting people got over me not enjoying someones comedy.

PS I don't like football too, but I'm in Australia and going through secondary school. If I so much as mention that I don't like football I get ostracized so fast by all the sport geeks.

I have been insulted for not liking romantic relationships and public displays of affection. I've been called bitter, coldhearted, selfish, childish, and a prude, among other things.

I think the most recent thing I was insulted for not liking was Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. More power to you if it's to your taste, but, in my opinion, it comes across like bad fanfiction that completely misses everything about the source material. Besides, American McGee's Alice in Wonderland already did the whole 'dark interpretation of Alice' thing, and, for my money, did it way better.

Back when I was younger, though, all my friends liked film version of The Phantom of the Opera. My reaction to it was basically, "None of these people can sing and this was only made for teeny fangirls who want Christine and Eric to hook up, which is so far away from the point of the story it's in another universe."

I've been insulted for having never liked the Power Rangers or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but all in a joking manner by friends. I've probably actually been insulted for other stuff, but I have a terrible memory and nothing else comes to mind.

I've been insulted for not liking Glee.
I don't get it! The characters are so stereotypical it's not even funny, the songs are okay, and it's like a soap opera for kids!

I've insulted someone for not liking Portal

A lot of people apparently take issue with my disdain for Toy Story 3 and Up.
