1. Ubisoft Montreal (Shanghai and that other place can go die in a ditch somewhere)
2. Valve
3. Stardock
4. EPIC (Admit it-- you likes Gears of War)
5. Triumph Studios, the people who opened up their dead, twisted hearts and gave us Overlord. (I'm not kidding-- if someone made a minion plush doll, I'd buy it in a hearbeat and put it up on the shelf next to Lamaar.)

I took a few minutes to think about Ubisoft and Rockstar, Gears of War was a good game but thats the only game I know of that is from Epic.

While I like you for standing up for Ubisoft as I did. WHERE IS ALL THE BLIZZARD LOVE? Surely the people who brought the Warcraft Starcraft and Diablo universes to life deserve to survive!

I never played Starcraft, Fate got to me first, and WoW stole two weeks of my life...two weeks that I could've spent writing a book (I did!), or paining a masterpeice(I didn't.), or not watching Michal Bay films (I kinda did.)...

They never disappoint with their games, and in my opinion no other company can beat them in terms of creativity.

I could agree with that list...except for From software. I feel they have done nothing good with their two major IPs (Armored Core and Tenchu) for a long time, but they were good back in the early 2000s.

Are you kidding? The Armored Core series is the only mecha series I still respect. Instead of taking the Gundam root of putting whiny emo undertones, they keep to their guns with silent protagonists and antagonists if you feel like it. And they're releasing five new titles for the PSP, as well as a new one for the Ps3/360 in about a year's time. It's the only reason I still respect robot genres.

Hell, LOOK AT MY AVATAR. You'll know why I still love the series.

Also, with other series, I usually hate when they change the formula or change a gameplay element (Halo or the "Tales of" Series for example). With Armored Core, they could turn it into an RPG where my robot farts out bunnies out of it's robotic backside, and I would still love it.

Even if they did... add... whiny protagonists with wangst and bawwing syndrome... I'd still play it. I'd vomit a bit, but I'd play it.

I don't care for Gran Turismo, or racing games as a whole, and God of war just made me prestalgic for Warrior Within. We all know who's the coolor of the two. HINT: he's from the Persian Royal line. And he controls time. And beats up Goth Incredible hulk. And has an affinity for the words: Bi*ch, d**n, and hell.

Both control time, just one uses that time efficiently to wrench the weapon that killed him out of the hands of the king of the gods and slice him open with it. And the one who rips the head off a god is the cooler is the two. Face it, God of War kicks all other action games asses. For all intents and purposes, God Of War is the definitive action series. Pity it has to end.
