Hook from the 2003 version of "Peter Pan".
Played by Jason Isaacs, aka "lucious Malfoy" in the potter-verse.
it helps that he´s the only one who could act, and shimmering lightbulbs to! - its good acting!
but.. for a bland movie, he´s the only one who injects the movie with some much needed sass. be it a dastardly plan or a simple joke.
hmm, thinking about it, i reckon that Dustin Hoffmans Hook from the movie "Hook" is actually not bad either. Smee was shiny in it atleast.
im certain there´s more to add, but.. Its 7 in the morning, ive got a cold and a hacking cough, im not going to go the distance with this.

Ninja'd by everyone.

Not fair ya'll.

Oh! The Illusive Man, from ME2. I will always see him as a villain, but he sure is one BAMF.
I look forward to the possible chess-matches between him and my Shepard.

Tom Cruise as Vincent in Collateral. Hands down the coolest antihero ever.

If you've seen it, you'll agree with me.

Megatron (Transformers G1, Beast Wars, etc.)

Saren (Mass Effect)

Greed and Wrath(Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood)

Sephiroth(FF:VII)

Big Boss and basically all the Big Bads from Metal Gear Solid 3 + Grey Fox (Metal Gear Solid)

Dr. Nefarious(Ratchet and Clank Series)

The Predator(Predator)

General Knoxx (Borderlands)

Darth Maul and General Grievous (Star Wars Extended Universe)

Albert Wesker (Resident Evil)

(I think I have a tendency to relate more to antagonists)

Non-game examples work eh?

That is Xykon, the main antagonist from Order of the Stick. This guy is filled with so much charm that you can't help but love him. Between his inability to remember the main character's motivation and his unusually cruel sense of humor, it's hard to resist his charms.

Just don't underestimate him. He can quickly switch from affably evil [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AffablyEvil] to complete monster [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CompleteMonster] in a matter of seconds.

Heres one Im suprised I havent seen; Magneto

Hes always been my favorite "villain". He isnt necessarily evil he just sees humanity as a threat to the mutants and is acting to protect them by any means. Being played by Sir Ian McKellen in the movies doesnt hurt eather.

Jack Torrence from The Shining. Jack Nicholson did a phenomenal job with his role and I couldn't help but fall in love with his character.

And I think Benoît Poelvoorde from the film "Man Bites Dog."

Ansem of Kingdom Hearts 1, because Billy Zane does an awesome over-the-top villain voice. Too bad they didn't get him back for the other appearances in 2 and CoM.

Hazama from BlazBlue for sure. Best character in that game. Also Takaya from Persona 3. Some of his lines were truely epic and his voice was just amazing...

My name says it all. Ghaleon from the Lunar series. He was just so cool and completely turns the game on its head once you really got to know him.
In an article in gameinformer/nintendo power (its been a long time so I can't remember which magazine,) the creater of Lunar Dragon song on the DS said that their new villain was even more hardcore and cruel that Ghaleon....
I waited through the entire game and never saw a tiny bit of evidence to back that claim up.

Well already mentioned but Reaver...he's like a Dorian Gray mixed with Oscar Wilde!!!!! excuse the obvious who created who....and second is Caesar from New Vegas...out of all the options I had to go with Caesar. He was the only one who had a stable future for New Vegas free from Raiders, Mega Taxes and poverty.
What about all the slavery and misogyny and so forth?
Women are put into the Priestesses if you are familiar with that Ancient Rome ritual where the women bring the Fire from Troy, that is the female role in the Legion's Society. As for slavery....the most looked upon societies in history had slaves from the Greeks, Italians in the Renaissance, Romans, America till 1856. It is necessary for them, they'll grow out of it.
Hmmm that still dosent justify it by no means, not when other socities can function without slavery, I would rather be a dirt poor junkie in freeside than a legion slave,

and I disagree that legion are the best option Like I said before its not perfect but it functions, you honestly think goodsprings would be better if the legion took it over?

hell the tribals are better than legion

anyway just saying,no spiolers please

What, no one said Darth Vader yet?

Is enough to make me lose my faith in humanity here.

I think Starscream is freaking awesome, despite being a bit incompetent (but, hey, he's a Decepticon, whadaya expect?). Same deal with Tarantulas, even though he's technically a Predecon. And Waspinator.

Yeah. Definitely Waspinator.

I agree, to me his is a villan no questions, but he just so gosh-darn resonable that its hard not to be convinced, I do think he has good intentions but his methods are bad

however he is charming and manipulative so we dont really know how good/evil he is, I will say it was satisfying to say "fuck you" to him and not try and secure humanitys dominance

He realized the error of his ways and momentarily wrestled control of his mind from Sovereign and killed himself. He neutralized a threat to the galaxy (himself) and died in possession of his own mind.

Sure, they made him more friendly later on but he made an impression with me when I first encountered him.

I'm also a fan of this guy here:

I just played Golden Sun DD and I still like this guy as a villain best out of that series:

Its not that I like these guys better than the Protagonists because the protagonists suck, its just that I really do like them as villains.

All of them...
Except for Lucien from Fable 2 because he was a weakling...[sub]Until I killed him...[/sup]
I liked some of his minions though...
