The first time I started being a pirate in Freelancer, I felt really, really guilty about attacking the men and women shuttling commodities across space. Sure, they were already hostile because I had been zapping their navy's ships for a few days but I had never attacked a convoy.

The first time I massacred traffic around Planet Manhattan I felt a little sick inside. Then I realized how much money I could make. The guilt vanished and now I have no qualms about zapping space merchants and running from the cops XD

That was an "Evil" choice?

I kind of just assumed he was designed to be hated no matter which path you drove Shepard down.

OT: It really doesn't matter what game I am playing. I really can't bring myself to be an "Evil" person. Call me a softie, but I would just like to be the stalwart hero whenever I play a video game that offers that choice.

I just can't enjoy doing anything related to slavery. It doesn't matter what the game is, I despise slavers no matter what.

Kill innocent people and children? No problem. Sell innocent people and children into slavery? You fucking bastard!

Also sexism, it pisses me off.

kotor: whenever you have to decide whether or not to kill juhani and jolee, or to kill balista. in the end i sided with balista.in DAO i could never be evil to my companions, but you put a dying citizen on the ground, ill just kick some dirt in their face and walk away.in the first fable(the only one i played thoroughly)i would always try to get bandits to attack oakvale and i would always choose to have a nice meal of crunchy chicken,so what im saying is that i was always evil in almost all games, which is why i always got mad after the arena in fable because you would always be full good.

Betraying any friend in any game is usually difficult for me, especially if I've spent a lot of time with them.
ME2. The game calls it the good action, but I consider it more evil, and have serious problems deciding to rewrite the renegade geth. Also, trying to do all-renegade, I've made a lot of dialogue choices which have really, really been difficult, or that I have regretted, usually involving the crew.
This. I played paragon Shepard the first time through, which made bullying Tali all the more difficult on the renegade runthrough. Ditto choosing between the asari- neither of whom I warmed to mind you- but the renegade choice just felt totally wrong.

And having spent 120 FO3 hours treating it as a second home, I couldn't bring myself to blow up Megaton under any circumstances second time around.

This Topic is especially for Gamers who appreciate games with
a Choice-System like KOTOR, Dragon Age or Mass Effect. And most of the People i know
start with a good playtrough and follow up with an Evil one. But when you took the
dark path, was there ever an evil choice you really hesitated to do?
ME: Could not kill the Rachni Queen. Something about having an intelligent creature in captivity with the means of killing it being Acid ready to pour into the 'cage' Maybe it would have been the right thing to do but it also just seemed horrible.

Dragon Age: Origins: I have never killed Connor, it seemed pointless when there is the option for the circle to help, And since it is stated something like you can make it back to the Circle in a day or so, it seemed kinda silly to kill the child and possibly piss off Eamon completely if he got up. (This one is just to add though, from a roleplaying perspective I think the circle is the best way to go. if it was a better choice, I would kill him in a heartbeat.)

The Witcher: I never side with either side, both have serious flaws in their methods and it was kinda annoying that they make you choose one at the bank robbery, luckily you can tell them to fuck off and go your own way a couple of chapters down.

There's quite a bit more probably but I can't think right now.
Also, this is about choices you went through with in the end? >.> sorry.

KOTOR:
The woman on Tatooine who's trying to sell a valuable Wraid plate as the last thing of value she has. Took it from her forcefully, felt so terrible about it that an hour or so later I resolved to reverse course and come as far back to the light as possible (had gone almost fully dark at that point).
I came into this thread thinking of that actually, though I always either gave her the money or just told her to go away. I tend not to do full black or white playthroughs so it wasn't a problem, but yeah, It's been a long while since this but if I remember correctly when I played, Her voice acting sold it.

I am not sure I follow here? You're talking about killing the Dog in Dragon Age: Origins? How do you not have a choice as a Noble? I've done 3 playthroughs as a Noble and one as a Mage, non of them required me to kill the Dog.

When you have to put the muzzle on him you have a choice to just kill him. You don't do that as a noble, so you're stuck with him

See its weird in Gta I'll happily gun down police officers and civilians(what don't look at me like that) but in games like mass effect or fable i can never do the evil stuff I just feel so bad.

In TES IV:Oblivion, there's this old fisherman that lives in the village of Weye to the west of the Imperial City. A fairly standard beginner's quest, kill twelve Rumare Slaughterfish and bring him back their scales, and he'll give you the Jewel of the Rumare (a unique ring that gives you Water Breathing). Here's his dialogue:

Aelwin Merowald said:
You know, stranger, there comes a time in every man's life when he has to admit that he's lost the fight. Well, I've fought and I've lost. Who did I lose to? Who is my great enemy? Well, don't laugh... it's a bunch of damn fish.

Go on and lau... Wait. Help? Oh. Well, then... I'm a fisherman. Or at least, I was. Until one of those slaughterfish damn near took my leg off. I was collecting their scales, see. I had a contract with this young alchemist. You wouldn't believe what he was paying for those scales! Then last month, one of the bastards got ahold of my leg. Took me right out of the business. But this alchemist, he needs the scales right away. The alchemist was paying so much for the scales that I'm close to having enough saved so that I can retire. But now, I can't get out there to the lake -- not with this leg. I only needed twelve more scales! Can you believe it? I was so close! I've picked up a few things in my travels. If you head out there and bring me back the twelve scales that I need, I can make it worth your time. Help an old fisherman out, won't you?

After returning to him, scales in hand, he thanked me profusely and said "I'm looking forward to my retirement -- long days in the stable with the horses, long mornings in bed, and best of all: no more fish." Being a Hero of sorts, out of concern for this old man 's wellfare I good naturedly pressed him on the issue, to which he told me "Well... I'll tell you a secret. I took some of the money I saved and paid a mage to lock the rest of it away in a box inside my house. Nothin' can open it except for this key right here. And there ain't no way anyone is gettin' this key while I'm still breathing. Yessir, I worked too hard to collect that money. I'm not about to let anyone steal it from me."

My mind partly at ease, I sought to console the rest of it and test his security system to see if it was truly as formidable as he claimed. So, with the best intentions at heart, as an upstanding Thieves Guild member I attempted to open the chest with lock picks, satisfied to see that the picks had no effect. Good. Next, to make sure that the lock was in perfect working order come the time the old fisherman had to retrieve his earnings, I borrowed the key from him and test the lock to make sure it worked. The key slid in perfectly and the lock released. Excellent. Careful to return the key to the old man, I merrily strode out of his home and to the local tavern in the next town over for some ale and mutton as a reward for a hard day's labor. Imagine my surprise when it came time to pay the bill and I found my wallet considerably heavier than I last remembered, as well as 12 Rumare Slaughterfish scales on my person.

In Mass Effect 2, during Thanes Loyalty mission, I can never bring myself to shoot the hostage, no matter how much of a jerk I'm playing that time.

Well, maybe not evil per se, but it was something I couldn't bring myself to do.

Of course, given that he has endangered the galaxy for personal political gain at least once, and consistently displays phenomenally bad judgment, putting someone like that in a more influential position is, arguably, evil.

I have thought long and hard and I can't think of any evil choice I had the ability to make that I had a problem with. What the hell is wrong with me!?

I have a really hard time being mean to companions in games. Especially in Bioware games. Cause they're so freaking cool! How can you be mean to Atton, or Garrus, or Tali, or Wrex? I mean, seriously, it's like kicking a dog. Like kicking a dog with cybernetic implants that's pledged to help you, it just doesn't make sense!

Don't bring Anders along, or you WILL want to murder him immediately afterwards.

For me in DA2
Chewing out Aveline and blaming her for Leandra's death. I did it on my first playthrough, and felt terrible taking out my grief on my companions

For KOTOR
Choosing to kill Freyyr, Zaalbar's dad, in the Shadowlands. I've only ever done it once, and I will not do it again.

Technically, Atton is an Obsidian character, but your point still stands. I WANT them to like me, so why be a dick?
