So every single person who is in the military is automatically brain damage and/or stupid? What kind of bullshit is that?Tenky said:I think it's safe to assume that being in the military fucks you up for life... plus it doesn't help that most recruits aren't those with the highest amount of brain power.
Why was it relevant that GTA was 'ultra-violent'? It might as well have said "Donadio, who wears glasses". Sure, it's a fact. But it adds absolutely nothing to the report. The intent of its inclusion is obvious, there is no way you can misinterpret that. Plus, it IS the Daily Mail. I can say in complete honesty that the only reason they put he was an ex-soldier in there is so they have something to fall back on if they upset anyone.squid5580 said:Did you bother to read the article? It stated the facts. GTA is a ultra-violent game. The kid deleted his account that lead to the attack. No where does it blame anything, just states the events as they occurred. This hypersensitivity is just as ridiculous as the other side's.MiracleOfSound said:I blame the videogame, not the traumatic and life altering events that can come with being a soldier.
It's the Daily Mail, their readership primarily consists of old white people (the racists) and the far right conservatives who believe that death by hanging should be brought back immediately. Honestly guys and gals we dont have to worry about a thing, this is an English newspaper whose 'news' broadcasting skills are....well....futile at best.Aphex Demon said:Agreed, the media will be all over this shit if word gets around.SL33TBL1ND said:I hope the bandwagon doesn't pick up on this one...

Dude, relax. Come on.squid5580 said:Lol that is your justification? Really? And yes I do have a hypersensitivity to blatant ignorance. Sorry if that offends you.
Sums up my thoughts pretty well.MiracleOfSound said:I blame the videogame, not the traumatic and life altering events that can come with being a soldier.
To be fair to him, sarcasm doesn't transfer too well over text lol.Mr.K. said:I see you can't tell, so I'll give you a hint, these is some sarcasm going on heresquid5580 said:Did you bother to read the article? Why is it irrelevant? It is what it is. Once gamers can stop being ashamed about it we will probably have an easier go against real enemies like that rapist ***** or the lawmakers that want to censor it.Thyunda said:Why was it relevant that GTA was 'ultra-violent'? First of all I am sure that it wasn't Grand Theft Auto that encouraged this inhumane act of violence. This guy is obviously some coward dick head who couldn't refrain from beating up his girlfriends kid. Now dont get me wrong, I would be pretty pissed off if my GTA save file was deleted, as i'm sure you guys would, but to put an 8 year old in a coma? This guy should be shot, repeatedly.
Now, news articles like this put a bad reputation on gamers, and the developers of such games. Forever in a day this 'media vs gamers/publishers' argument will be discussed.
What are your thought's on this, guys?
Well, it IS irrelevant. Yes, the game is violent. It's also sold in a plastic case. Shall we mention that, next time? If they'd have put "...accidentally deleted his profile which was seven hours into the game's story line", they'd have been slated for advocating his behaviour. So that would be relevant, because it helps us tell just how seriously he took it, and how it affected his reaction.squid5580 said:Why is it irrelevant? It is what it is.
