Scarlett Verneer - The Dean's Mansion - Tinsdal

Scarlett wasn?t entirely convinced. She would have preferred to kill this dark god with cold steel but it seemed an unlikely idea at best. Now all they needed to do was think of a way to get the dark god inside of the vessel and diluted among the rest. It seemed a strange concept and Scarlett decided not to think about it too much. She had to place her faith in the Vessel and trust her enough to believe it would all work out in the end.

?What about Lorel? If this dark god has been inside from him since birth won?t removing it kill him? I mean the agreement was that this Gemsi could save him, at the price of him controlling Lorel. Does that mean Lorel can?t survive without the dark god??

Vergil Crawford - The Dean's Mansion - Tinsdal

"Well, thanks for acknowledging it Vessel. Would you need any help in charging yourself for such a process, or, is it best a private matter that only you can accomplish?" Vergil remarked, and then asked a question about how to prepare herself; seeing as he couldn't as of yet, physically do anything to Gemsi that would harm him.

Whilst he waited for Vessel to respond, he attempted to answer Scarlett's query.

"Hmm, that could be the case Scarlett. Then again, since Gemsi physically took over Lorel's body; it is likely that he banished Lorel's spirit to some place out of the way, and with no interference. We must also consider, that it was Lorel's body that was going to die. His spirit probably still lives, and if we can remove Gemsi; then it is possible, that Lorel's spirit will find its way home from whatever plane of existence he was banished too."

"Tell me, have you ever heard of a place called, 'The Plains of The Dead'?"

"Well there is Nicon and Jill for starters. And then there was the Brothel incident. Man I owed a lot of money on that one. I bet you didn't know there was a Brothel out there exclusively for big boned women now did you. Um The Case of The Missing Virginity. For some reason a father wanted me to find who took his daughter's virginity, which was me by the way and the daughter decided she wanted a repeat. Um Second Brothel Incident, this time it was purple girls, that was a mission! I'm serious the pay was good and they tasted like grapes and then was...." Telnor trailed on following Vergil and Vessel. When they got to Dean's announcement and the Dark God talking and his demands.

When Vessel spoke up Telnor decided to also join in.

"That's a great idea Vessel however a back up plan is always a good idea. Can I recommend lots of fire and swords and other things that help kill. I mean surely he can't have all his power and a human body most likely doesn't hold a lot of power for a god. It makes sense that it would burn out. And if the body is the link then in theory if we destroy the body, um sorry friends of Lorrel, then this Dark god should leave this world. Right?"

Velen Majl ? Garden ? Dean?s Mansion ? Tinsdal

?Killing the Dark God will have an unknown effect, as far as we can tell, he is in control of Lorel?s body. Even if he does return, there is a chance that his wounds from the fight against the Dark God or from before will appear and kill him then. There is no way to know for sure what exactly will happen,? Velen spoke to the group and then responded to Vergil. ?The Plains of the Dead isn?t that a theoretically realm of where we go after we die??

Gemsi ? Unknown Location

He laughed as he returned, he knew his demands were ludicrous but he wanted to see if they would actually attempt to do it or fight back, the latter being actually a bit more interesting.

"Indeed it is Velen. Although, technically, the Plains are not the first stop along the journey of the afterlife for a dead person's soul. A person will usually start of in a realm known as Limbo; a strange non-existent realm, that lingers on the edge of the Plains. Here, a person's soul will be judged upon their actions, and the verdict will determine on which path of the Plains a person will walk upon." Vergil replied to Velen's question as he felt the Vessel take hold of his hand. He was unsure, whether or not he was blushing at the moment.

Before the pair left, he briefly mentioned something to Telnor.

"From what I could gather from the description you gave of the place you appeared in after your collision during the attack Telnor; it seems you may have ended up in Limbo as well. I wonder why you didn't get judged? Perhaps, you were on the farthest edge of Limbo, but the more likely solution is, that you still held on to a tiny spark of your life, enough to be brought back."

Velen shrugged. ?But how do we know if Lorel is even in the Plains of the Dead? We don?t know if he technically died. For all we know he could be stuck in another realm that the Dark God has trapped him in.?

Vergil replied to Velen's question, with an air of mystery in his voice.

"A body without a soul, is basically a corpse. Besides, you ever heard of the expression 'All roads lead to the Upper District'? Lorel will turn up in the Plains, sooner or later. After all, Gemsi can't be taking very good care of that body, he so desperately fought over, its bound to wear out at some point. Unless of course, we, or more to the point Lorel, can find away to bring his soul back to his body, thus becoming a complete being once more."

He then turned to Vessel.

"Anyway, we must be off Vessel, the longer we wait; the less time we have to act."

"Don't you see Vessel, I want to help you get through this. Plus, you said it yourself earlier, with me around, it would be more bearable for you. All I'm trying to do Vessel, is to make you happy. As I think to myself... 'If I can make the Vessel happy, who knows where it may lead.' Besides, the rest of the group is more than capable of thinking up back up plans, in case things go awry." Vergil remarked, affectionately putting an arm around the Vessel's shoulders.

"Despite my earlier objections towards this plan of yours, I have faith in you, we'll get it done, one way or the other."

"It's alright Vessel, you have an important task to do. But judging from the sound of your voice, there seems to be a problem. I don't mean to pry, but, what seems to be the matter? If it's related to me, then go ahead." Vergil asked, acting concerned for the Vessel.

He then found a table to sit on, his legs, just hovering above the ground. Vergil began to take in the scenery.

A crimson coloured sea, was lit up by the pale, silvery moon. The mixture of colours, made for a bold contrast, against the dreary night, and faded green grass.

"The view we have this evening, is very much like a painting."

Gemsi ? Unknown Location

He watched as Mizuki got herself up. ?Morning,? he spoke in a sarcastic voice. ?How are you doing??

She shook her head, remembering what happened. ?Why did you take me??

?Because of your lineage, the fact that you were touched by a Dark God. While you may not be like Lorel who had me a fully Dark God inside of his soul, you have some of their powers. I plan on? Extracting that once I figure out it.? Gemsi told her as he walked around.

Mizuki looked to see if there was an escape but it was dark and she saw none. ?Won?t that kill me??

Gemsi laughed. ?Do you think I honestly care if you die or not? Once I get the Dark God Magic extracted then I will be whole once more.? He finished off with a grin on his face.

"Indeed it is a grim portrait, then again, what can you expect from a Dark God." Vergil remarked as he watched the Vessel get to work. He noticed that her cheeks were blushing slightly, and that the Vessel covered her eyes for a brief moment.

"I should help her in some way. Whilst I cannot peer into such a godly place, I can provide comfort and support to her." Vergil thought to himself as he got up off the chair, and stood behind the Vessel, his hands resting on her shoulders. He could feel them slightly tense up, and began calmly whispering into her ear.

"Relax my lady, it is me, Vergil. Although I cannot provide any direct means of assistance, I shall protect you. Are you feeling okay? I have put my faith and trust in you Vessel, we shall succeed."

Vergil then began to whistle a soothing melody, hoping it would calm her down, and makes things seem less stressful.

"Just a moment..." Vergil then stepped backwards slightly, and engaged Shade's Vision.

"Hmm, I see two, no, three auras about you."

"The first, is one of darkness, surrounded by a crimson red glow. Obviously the Dark Gods."
"It behaves like a coiled snake, squeezing the life out of its prey.
"
"The second, is one of pure light, surrounded by a a golden glow. Obviously the Light Gods."
"This one acts like a candle, lighting the way amidst a sea of darkness."
"Finally, there is the third, you. Your aura is an amalgamation of the two, it keeps them both in balance. Its hold is strong."
"Your aura Vessel, is like a nurturing mother to a pair of twins. Wishes for them to be raised the same, but knows they must develop apart."

Vergil then stepped forward again, and resumed his previous position.

"Does that provide some form of clarity?"

Telnor

"So when do we attack. I mean the sooner the better right? We don't know how long Lorel's body will last and we need to get a core group of fighter's in order to take him down. I mean Vessel's plan may have merit but, and no offense to Vessel, BUT I don't think its going to work. At all. I think that she is just delusional about the whole gods inside me thing."
