Lucian Grey ? Hollow's Peak ? Urban District

?We've no intention of putting on a show for ruffians, Vincent. So stop fondling that thing like teat.? Lucian scolded mockingly, the smirk on his face withdrawn ever-so-slightly as he subtly motioned to the black blade concealed beneath the young man's obsidian cloak.

With each step upon the dishevelled bricks and stone the two hunter were drawn ever nearer and nearer to the band of raggedy vagabonds. Their clothes were nothing more than the rags of burlap and coarse linen held in place by frayed and dirty coils of rope. Two of the glaring fiends were lucky enough to have acquired a pair of yellow stained, woollen blankets, brandished aloft their shoulders as makeshift cloaks, the rusted dirks at their sides an indication of how they were acquired.

?Avoid the violent path, V. In the North, tales and names carry the swiftness of hawks.? Lucian whispered before pressing past the muck and grime coated trash that littered these streets, his bold strides causing a few strays to scuttle from his path.

Vergil Crawford - The Dean's Mansion - Tinsdal

"You know, I've never really considered it before. Although, it would of been interesting to see how my life would have played out, if I possessed magic of some kind. I would have probably wanted to teach myself. As for if I had your powers Vessel... Hmm, that is an interesting one."

Vergil then began to think for a moment, so he could come up with an effective response.

"I honestly don't know. But if I were to say something, I'd probably do the same as you are now."

"If you had my ability Vessel, it could help with social problems, as you could pick out the finer details that much easier."

"As for why I said Mother earlier, well, I don't know why; but I felt like adding a little descriptive narration. To help give form and focus to what your auras looked like. Then again, that last one may have been a glimpse into a future of yours."

Scarlett Verneer - The Dean's Mansion - Tinsdal

Scarlett looked at the **** with a passive, almost neutral, expression masking her face. She wanted to get away from the estate for a bit so she had already agreed to deliver this package but history had taught her to be careful about the unknown.

?What exactly do you want to deliver??

Scarlett Verneer - The Dean's Mansion - Tinsdal

Scarlett reached out and took the envelope feeling the weight of the Kiel inside. She took a brief glance at the address, memorising it, before slotting the envelope into a safe place down her top. As the envelope slid in it hit a small gold band but Scarlett ignored the brief reminder of it?s existence and returned her thousand yard stare to the ****.

?So, anything I should know??

Vergil Crawford/The Vessel - The Dean's Mansion - Tinsdal -

"I think we should find someplace to sleep for the night. After all the chaos that has occured here this evening, I think it would be wise to stay away from the Dean's Mansion for a while, at least until tommorow."

"Yeah, your right Vergil, somewhere warm and cosy." Vessel replied with a yawn, and collapsed slightly. Vergil managed to stop her falling to the floor, by putting an arm around her back, supporting her.

"Come on, I think it might be a good idea to leave the mansion quietly, without the others noticing. There seemed to be a side entrance to the Estate just over there. We should be on the street in no time." Vergil remarked, as he slowly began to walk the Vessel out of the estate; making sure to stick a far distance from the rest of the group.

Vergil Crawford/The Vessel - The Knight and Raven - Tinsdal

The couple had been walking the empty streets of the district for at least quarter of an hour. In that time, the Vessel had fallen asleep slightly, but could still move by herself, but she accepted the assistance of Vergil supporting her. After a few more minutes of walking, the pair had come across an inn known as 'The Knight and Raven', its dark blue sign partially lit up by the warm glow inside.

As Vergil and Vessel entered, they could see that the Inn was mostly empty, only a couple of people, including the owner were in the main lobby. They walked up to the owner, and caught his attention.

"Lack of business its seems you have."
"Tell me about it, whatever happened at the Dean's Mansion, scared away some of my customers." The Innkeeper replied in an unhappy manner.
"Take it you two want a room then? Luckily there are plenty availble." He added with a sarcastic laugh.
"Of course, why would we be here in the first place." Vergil remarked with a raised tone.
"Calm down mate, only a joke." The Innkeeper noted, trying to disfuse the situation. He then headed into the back room, to obtain a key.

After a brief moment, he returned with a silver coloured key.

"Here you go sir. Room is on the upper floor. Sorry about earlier." The Innkeeper remarked, apologising for the comment earlier.
"Its quite alright, its been a rather tense day for me and my friend here. We just want some sleep." Vergil replied, the key being pressed into his free hand. He then walked the Vessel up the stairs, and opened the door to the room.

Vergil then led Vessel over to the bed, and gently laid her down on it, making sure to remove the coat first. He then laid the coat on top of her from the chest down.

Scarlett looked at the **** and waved a dismissive hand. ?I?ll make no promises about keeping the old man company.?

Scarlett took a step forward to head to her destination when the ringing appeared in her ears. She shook it off as nothing but wondered if her gift was returning so soon.

Vergil Crawford - The Knight and Raven (Room) - Tinsdal

Vergil sat at the end of the bed, away from the Vessel, who began spouting random words and fragmented sentences. He had taken off his boots, and placed them by the bedside. He'd taken off his coat, which was draped over the back of the chair next to a desk. Vergil then looked back towards the Vessel. An unhappy look appeared of his face.

"Must be all that energy built up inside of her. Hunh... there must be something I can do." He thought to himself, as he massaged his head briefly trying to think. Vergil then got off the bed, and headed into the bathroom. He returned a few moments later, with a bowl of water, and a few flannels. The Vessel still seemed to be talking as he pulled up a chair next to her side of the bed, and he began to submerge one of the flannels in water, squeezing out any excess when he removed it.

After cleaning off some of the dirt marks on the Vessel's arms from when she fell onto the floor back at the estate, Vergil washed the towel in the water again. This time he place the flannel on the Vessel's head, hoping it would cool her down a little, as her head was warm to the touch.

Vergil then removed the coat, and pulled the duvet over the Vessel, up to the bottom of her neck, and then placed her arms on top of the duvet. He then went back to his side of the bed, removing his wrist blade, placing it on the bed side table, and sat upright next to The Vessel, clutching one of her hands, and gently stroking it; so it would help relieve some of the stress that must of been building up inside of her.

"Relax Vessel, I'm still here. Tell you what, how about in the morning, I run you a nice hot bath. Does that sound nice? I mean, you must be feeling rather stressed with all that Light and Dark God energy building up inside you. Just remember that I'm here. I suppose this what people do when they love someone. Protect them. Don't you worry Vessel, we'll find your parents."

Vergil could feel the lack of sleep getting to him. He was able to hold it off for a moment.

"Why thank you kindly for the offer Vessel. I shall graciously accept." Vergil replied with a brief laugh, as he could feel the onset of sleep approaching.

"But first, I think we should get some rest. It's been a pretty rough day for all. Good night." He then added with a long yawn. The weight of his eyes soon increased, and the last thing he saw been he went off into sleep, was the Vessel's hand.

Velen Majl ? Garden ? Dean?s Mansion ? Tinsdal

?Hm? That could work?? Velen said to Telnor. ?But? I am not so sure we can risk hurting the Dark God too much, as I stated, chances are that even if Lorel does return, the body will stay the same. It probably just healed because of his powers. So if we do damage now, he could return with all the wounds of the Dark God??

He truly hoped this would work, they had no way to know how to take care of the Dark God nor when he will even appear, granted he would come tomorrow but no time was specified. ?Dean? Shouldn?t we at least try to make some plans as a backup? What if we get all the Ultimate Mages in the area to come and try to suppress him if the Vessel?s or Telnor?s plans fails? We surely can?t attempt to fill his request.?

The Dean nodded. ?I will call all of the Ultimate?s Mages in the District and surrounding Districts.?

Lorel Ion ? Gods Realm

They rode in the flying machine, it was so strange flying in the area in something that didn?t look like it could fly. It was like nothing in the City. He saw the Gods Realm stretch out, it was magnificent. The flying machine was approaching what appeared to be a large building in the center.

That must be where the Big Man is?

The machine slowed down and then landed on a circle pad on a higher level of the building. Then the doors slid opened and they stepped out, and then they saw the building up close. It was older looking then the one?s that had seen when they first arrived. It was all white and had many columns and various detailed designs and red carpets. Din walked ahead of them and signaled them to follow.

?We?re finally going to meet him?? Said Lorel as they walked.

Monica nodded. ?Yup??

Vergil Crawford - The Knight and Raven (Room - Bathroom) - Tinsdal

It was in the very early hours of the morning, when Vergil could suddenly feel a kick to he chest, which knocked him onto the ground. He looked up on to the bed, and saw the Vessel with a grin on her face.

"Oh good your awake. I was thinking maybe we could get an early start on the bath."

"Yeah, your right, and after that kick I could use a good bath. I'll go start it up. It is definitely a big bath in there, more then enough to accompany us. Then again, if you want to get cosy, that's fine by me." Vergil remarked with devious smile as he picked himself up off the floor, and made his way to the bathroom. Before he shut the door, he could see that the Vessel was getting undressed.

"God, I am lucky at times." He then shut the door, and turned on the hot water taps. The water was warm and inviting to the touch. Vergil then laid out some towels for when they were done; along with one on the floor to dry their feet on. He looked up through the skylight, and saw the moon shining down.

"This just keeps getting better."

Vergil looked back at the water, and noticed it was reaching the right height. He began to undress himself, placing his clothes on the side. Vergil then turned the taps off, noticing that it was ready. He then got himself into the bath, when he heard a knock at the door.

"You already in there Vergil?"

"Oh, I am indeed." He replied, ending with a brief chuckle.

Scarlett Verneer - The Dean's Mansion - Tinsdal

As Scarlett walked down the old street she looked at the houses that lined either side and wondered to herself. Had she been here before? There was a familiar sense of déjà vu about the place. One that she couldn?t quite place in her mind. It was possible that she could have come here as a child with Sera, maybe when they had been chasing pirates? Scarlett frowned in annoyance, why was it that she couldn?t stop thinking about Sera? Had that comment from Vergil struck a nerve or was it the presence of the sigil?

Scarlett shook her head and removed all thought of Sera. She noticed the little girl watching and her and Scarlett knelt down with her best smile.

?Hi there.?

Lorel Ion ? Gods Realm

Inside they walked, compared to the futuristic City, the building felt a lot more god like, many Gods and Goddess were walking about doing work, some flying and others walking. They all looked at the three who had walked in with Din, some whispers and discussions. Din stopped at a counter. ?We will be meeting with Astroth now??

?Go right in.? The Goddess spoke.

The doors opened and they all walked in, the room was completely white with large stained windows on all sides but ones below them that were clear and overlooked the whole realm. They first saw his back, but then he turned and faced him. Astroth was young looking, as all the Gods and Goddess were, he had stark black hair, glowing white eyes, and even some white markings over his face. The Head God was wearing a white robe with golden outlines similar to Din?s gear.

Din as they entered got on the ground and bowed to the Head God, and so did Lorel, Ofila, and Monica mimicking the Trinity Knight.

Astroth then spoke in a very soothing voice, but deep at the same time. ?Welcome, Lorel, Ofila, and Monica Ion to our humble domain.?

?You know who we are?? Lorel spoke as they all stood up.

Astroth nodded. ?And I know what is going on your world Ranajal, with the Dark God Gemsi??

Ranajal? Never heard of the true name of our world? No one ever said it?

?For which I will help you solve your problem? But first? Lorel, I must speak with you. Alone.?

Din nodded to the Head God and brought Ofila and Monica out of the room, and the door shut behind them, and no one could hear the discussion. Suddenly out of nowhere, a desk and two chairs appeared. Astroth sat in one and Lorel sat in the other.

?Lorel? Do you know why the Dark Blood God Gemsi, choose you?? Astroth spoke in a serious tone.

Lorel thought for a moment and then said. ?I assumed because I was the son of a powerful political family??

?No, there is a much larger meaning. In fact I assume you did hear it say the truth about Mizuki? That she was touched by a Dark God named Master??

?Yes? Once then I assumed it was maybe also because of that??

Astroth then leaned back in his chair. ?Lorel, I am going to explain why they both targeted your family? Lorel do you know your family origins??

?No, only that it was on the old continent of Nasha.?

?Lorel? That is true? But there is much more to it than that. During our war with the Dark Gods, many hundreds of thousands of years ago, there was one Trinity Knight, he was above all the other Trinity Knights and Gods and Goddess that fought. In one conflict on the Plains of Time, his beloved wife was killed by the Dark Blood God? Gemsi. In a mad rage, this Trinity Knight fought against Gemsi and nearly won, but the Dark God ran, but even after the Trinity Knight killed over forty Dark Gods all by himself before he could even calm down? After hundred thousands of years later, once Humanity was created after our image, on one world he saw a woman? This woman resembled his dead wife. From there on, he did what no other God had done before him?

?He married this mortal woman. This Trinity?s Knight?s name? Was Ion. Only telling her his secret, to remember his name, they made it their last name as neither had one. Eventually he became mortal and died with his new wife. Thus the Ion family line was created, over the generations, the Ion lineage only could have one child due to the intensity of the God Blood in them, but now over recent generations it has begun to weaken??

Lorel stopped him. ?So are you saying that? Everyone in the Ion family? Are related to a God??

?Yes? You have God Blood within you? But it is weakening. This is why Dark Gods have always targeted your lineage specifically. Because you have God Blood in you, and now you have both God and Dark God Blood within you.?

?Why tell me this alone? Why not Ofila and Monica?? Lorel spoke un able to comprehend what he had just learned.

Astroth stood up. ?Lorel? Because of your Dark God side? Even if Gemsi is vanquished. You will still have his blood, and some of his abilities, such as controlling Blood, and his Immortality aspect. Lorel? You can die, but you can?t ever die from aging. Once you hit your mid-twenties, you will stop aging. But you can?t let anyone know? If they do, you will be hunted, and your family lineage will become arrogant of knowing their line is connected to Gods.?

I can?t? Die from aging..?

?But? I have a request from you? Thousands of years from now? In the year 500 Star Date, Star Date will be established on the year 9345 C.D, although what events will cause this is unknown. But the date 500 S.D. Is known. On that date, the gate that has held the Dark Gods away all of this time, will break down and they will flood your galaxy. Things like the Master and Gemsi getting out are examples of it breaking down. Lorel? I will need you at this time to help bring the galaxy together and fight the Dark Gods and completely eradicate them!?

Lorel just sat there for a moment? The task given to him? Was so monumental, could he handle it? But then he asked. ?But what about you? Why can?t you bring the gate back to regular status or help us fight them??

Astroth sat down once more. ?When we made the gate, it took almost all of our energy to create it, many Gods and Goddess died, and unlike Mortals, we don?t go to the Plains of the Dead, we simply vanish from existence. This ties into why we can?t help? Around that time? We must go away, and leave the galaxy all together, our realm will be moved? We have to take care of something that will take all our might? So restoring the gate isn?t an option? Lorel? I am sorry to put this task on you, I know it is? huge, bigger than any Mortal has ever done. Even if I am the Head God, I won?t force you.?

The boy stood up from his chair and began to pace around the room, looking out windows at the realm. Such a task? Even if it was thousands of years ahead? The feeling that he will have to confront Dark Gods en masse? Was daunting, and most of all scary. Fear went down his neck, imagining the Dark Gods ripping The City apart, even if it happens when all of his friends are dead? So many will die.

Then the thoughts of his friends and family came up, if he is immortal, he will see them die, but he will stay alive? Can he handle that? Living forever but seeing each generation of friend?s age and die? But he couldn?t be selfish. This was a case where EVERYONE would be killed if he didn?t step up to the plate. Lorel breathed in and then out.

?I will do it?? He spoke to Astroth.

?Great? Now it will take some time to prepare? But I will begin our process to rid your world of your Dark God problem!?
