The Asian guy in the corner always was being captured/tortured/dying. The guy with the tattoos is a Native American that embodied EVERY single stereotype of Indians barring wearing a feathered hat and opening a casino (there was even an episode where they showed the Native Peoples were uncivilized savages until they were touched by white aliens, I wish I made that up). The woman in the center, the Captain, has refused to intervene in alien worlds multiple times facing destruction (only to dick around with the people who WEREN'T at the brink of planet scale death), hiding behind the Prime Directive. The rest of them toss around the idiot ball, particularly the yellow alien with the spikey hair, for seven seasons.
