Oooh, "I'm high on life" annoys me, as does any office speak that means absolutely nothing, like "think outside the box" and "the view from 1000 feet", that sort of stuff.
Heh, that translates to staffroom speak too according to my history teacher, he's always bitching about how the senior members of staff want to "toutch base" with him or "blue sky" an idea...

What the fuck does that even mean?

Personally, I don't like "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" Can be true, but more often than not, they're just another enemy.

Technically, the enemy of your enemy is you.

Love conquers all is probably one of my most hated.

Also " a bad workman blames his tools" pisses me off to no extent.
Weird, I've never heard that one.

Just love it when people say "lol" or "bbl" in real life....
I don't really have a problem with "lol" if it's used humorously and it's pronounced like "lawl" rather than "l-o-l." I will say, though, that "OMG" doesn't work, and when this girl said it out loud in my science class I responded with "STFU."

I'd say any phrases used by airheaded valley girls. I won't list them, but you know just what I'm talking about. Also, the term zombie killing. They're already dead, you can't kill a corpse!

"No offence but/I don't mean to be nasty but..."
Yes you do mean to be nasty, and yes you do want to offend me, that's why you're saying it.

"ADDICTING" IS NOT A WORD.

"ADDICTIVE" IS A WORD.

"ADDICTING" IS NOT.

Why don't people understand this?!?

I was thinking about this the other day. Kudos. "I could care less." "Same difference."

"I'm not being funny but..." Well, no. You're not being funny. Whatever you're about to say has a very minimal chance of being in any way witty. There was no need to clarify it, in case I laughed.
The really annoying part is that he would use funny in the context of unusual/strange... And yet he still got it out of context! But I am glad that someone agrees.

"Look where you last left it."

If I knew where I last left it, I wouldn't be looking for it now would I dipshit?

"I could care less" pisses me off because it's Not Fucking Right.

It's been ballsed up by the Americans, somehow.

The original, and CORRECT phrase is: "I could NOT care less" - implying that the speaker could NOT care any less than he or she already does about the situation.

"I COULD care less" implies that the speaker actually DOES care about the situation.

Do some people really not THINK what they're saying, merely repeating what dumbasses on TV bleat?

"Retarted" could work if you were describing someone who was both mentally disabled AND a whore...heh, geddit?

I'm glad there is someone out there who can see my rage is wholly justified. I gave up A Level English Language because there's just no point these days - the language is well and truly raped in all directions all the time by idiots.
And it's also more work and less fun than Music.

Yo, angry musicians unite. "Same difference" annoys me because it's idiots getting confused between "What's the difference?" and "Same thing."
