extremely frustrating moments in gaming

This can be a annoying level, a design issue, anything that you feel is very frustrating in a game.

i will start off and say some stuff about Nazi zombies..... did they send in our weakest soliders? without juggernaut you die in 2 hits from a zombie, and sometimes it bugs and you die in 1 hit.
and spending 1 hour of your life to die to something that you die too easily from is very very VERY annoying

There are countless, but my most recent are those god damn forced sword duels in Saints Row 2.

For me, it's playing the Endless Setlist on Rock Band 2, on Expert... then getting to song 82 out of 84, without stopping (to try and get the Bladder of Steel achievement), and failing the song.

To clarify, it meant playing non-stop on Expert for six hours, only to fail three songs from the end. "Extremely frustrating" doesn't even begin to cover the fury I felt at that.

CoD4- I had my bead on you and my trigger down for ten seconds and you turn around and kill me in 2 seconds. I just put you in the center of the crosshairs (hipshot crosshairs) with a shotgun at facerape distance and fire and you kill me. I have my sniper crosshair on your head and fire. Why aren't you dead?

All of those sadly happen to me on a regular basis. It's why I enjoy single player games more than multiplayer.

Instant death spell in JRPG, because they never work for you, and you can lose a game just due to pure chance, which is bollocks.

men of war.....its a great game but everything is just 10X harder then your normal gamming experience i have to have it on easy to just barely make it through the campain even with co-op its easy do get shelled, fragged, stabbed, headshotted, and my personal favorite being crushed by a collapsing building

A few of the missions in Prototype are basically an exercise in keyboard-smashing frustration.

So are some of the events.

Let me see... Try the one where you have to destroy the escaping helicopters, which you can't do without jacking one yourself, which only lasts as long as the first round of heli's. Or perhaps every mission involving those genetic detectors.

The most recent worst one that comes to mind is the Star Destroyer battle in Force Unleashed. I stopped playing because of that battle. I still have the game and might try to go back and beat it but i just don't know. I was having great fun till then. That battle killed the fun dead.

And the final boss from Prince of Persia Two Thrones.

 

[Troublesome Lagomorph]

Insane boss fight in a JRPG which you barely survive. 2 seconds later you get killed in a random fight by a weak enemy who pwns you because it keeps saying 'miss' when you attack it. Most annoying thing that has EVER happened to me in my entire gaming career. Worse than the noobs on COD4 these days.

That very nearly happened - my sister managed to run off before I caught her, though.

It didn't help that it was 4 o'clock in the morning, either...

Oh my god. Try playing the meat circus on a laptop, which I did. I was ready to crack that kids egg head.

Trying to play Stalker SOC. It was like an abusive relationship. I love the game but it kept just crashing and corrupting my saves, and I kept coming back for more. Thankfully Clear Sky came along and occasionally crashed but at least it treated me well enough so I could complete it.

That final boss kicked my ass too. The funny thing though is once I did it the first time, it was easy every time from there.

For me the switch between fighting, speed kills and platforming gets me as well as the fact I run out of rewinds. Also this brings to mind the last level of Sands of Time where

The dagger is stolen and you have to do the platforming without it. That was challenging.
