CoD4- I had my bead on you and my trigger down for ten seconds and you turn around and kill me in 2 seconds. I just put you in the center of the crosshairs (hipshot crosshairs) with a shotgun at facerape distance and fire and you kill me. I have my sniper crosshair on your head and fire. Why aren't you dead?

All of those sadly happen to me on a regular basis. It's why I enjoy single player games more than multiplayer.
Play a real game then.
What the fuck are you talking about?
That was my thought too, but apparently being called out is frightening for him as he has yet to reply in any way.

Pretty much the whole of the last half of prototype was frustrating, especially that boss fight with the huuuuge pink blob.

The last couple of levels as the warrior in the first Diablo. Not only do your enemies run away from you every time you try to get close enough to inflict some pain, some of them actually teleport away from you while their buddies pelt you with fire-balls. Hope you have an almost infinite amount of potions, you're going to need them.

EDIT: also on the old-school front, anyone who has played through Streets of Rage 2 on hardest knows that the lift scene in the seventh level is the scrappiest level imaginable. Waves of enemies and no health in sight except for one turkey (full health power-up) you're pretty much guaranteed to lose around eight lives in the climb up.

A fight between Hercule and Cell in DragonBall Z: Boudakai Tenkaichi and guess which one you have to fight as.
That dopey, afro-sporting meatsack barely lasts 5 seconds against Cell, and you have to survive for a minute. That's twelve usual survivals!

Sorry if information about this challenge is wrong, it was ages ago that I played it.

The entire
Inside the Riftworm
level in Gears of War 2 is a real pain. Especially the part where you have to
make your way through the intestine with low visibility and limited time

There is a level I couldn't beat in NFSU, and eventually I stopped playing the game because I would never win.

perhaps, unless he was trying to troll or something, because I simply cannot comprehend what he was trying to say

The final boss in Rise to Honor. Such a crappy game and I realize that now. 3 stage fight with the longest healthbar in history. 1st stage is easy if you just watch for opening. 2nd stage is basically in poison gas so the only way to win is to grab him and use his damn Gas mask. Then the third stage is the toughest though as you have to fight and keep the love intrest of the game from falling off a 30 story tower. Think the Kratos clone fight in God of War but 3 million times harder.

Another annoying one was the ending seqeunece to Half Life 2 episode 2 took me forever to kill the hunters to get to the Stalkers. Now imagine doing it without the knowledge of the Magnessun (Or howerver you spell it.) device holder on you're car.

I thought the Haunted Mansion level was worse. Turrets everywhere and an annoying Bot playing Dom. Although after a about 3 tries you get the whole maze down.

Since I'm trying to struggle through The Pitt, I'd say just about all of it.

"Want to walk across the roof? Pfft, you will fall right through!"
"Want to pick that up? NO! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED!"
"Want to enjoy your game? Oh, we just deleted your saves. HA!"
Eh I just played for the Achievments. Then I loaded an old save and left mostly becuase the game glitched and took all my gear with no hope of ever getting it back.

I just chainsaw charged the whole time. The part where your breaking out into the razor hail was annoying though. The cart level in the first Gears was worse than the two combined though. Especially if you have a noob on co-op who does not know what he's doing.

Oh yeah, any boss that spawns enemies to help fight you is annoying. I don't need a bunch of little guys distracting me so that the big guy can actually hit me with his stupidly powerful attack that I would dodge under any other circumstance. The original Metroid Prime final boss is a good example of this, as it spawns metroids that prevent you from attacking and dodging.

Well if I said that was easy I would be lying. Luckily I had my cousin help me with that. The only times we died was when either

A) A stupid wretch falling down after I shot it down and landing in my Cart before exploding.
or
B)A single Grunt near the end with a Shotgun. Comes out from the side and you don't even see him becuase you're to busy shooting the Wretchs down.

Although it did help visualzing someone you hate as a wretch.

Those pseudo-boss sequences in the first Far Cry. Two artillery boats that OHK you if you stand anywhere near where their missiles will land, two helicopters each dropping troops and armed with a Gattling gunner who will kill you in about half a second. And you can't move much more than twenty feet in any direction. Oh joy oh joy.

Two things from Ghostbusters:The Video Game
1) The last level when you have to slime tether the stone angles to the archway
2) On the professional difficulty, the hobo ghost that keep chucking Molotov cocktails at you. (you will fail so many times because of that.)

Any game in which, after losing to a boss, you can't immediately start back at the boss fight. I think everyone has experienced dying against a boss, then being forced to go through the level that preceded the boss. It's even worse when unskippable cutscenes are involved...

Example...NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams.

The final boss isn't that difficult, but there's a specific way you're supposed to beat him. Most people won't immediately grasp what that is on the first try. I had to lose to him twice before I realized what it was that I was supposed to do. But, when you lose to the boss, you can't immediately refight him! You have to go through the chase level that preceded him all over again...and until you actually beat him, you're not allowed to skip any of the voice-acted cutscenes either! Sometimes, losing against the boss isn't even my fault. There's another character following you during the fight...and you need to be side-by-side in order to deal damage to the final boss. But sometimes, the other character gets stuck behind a rock or something! (In NiGHTS, you have no health bar...just a time limit. So, moments like that can absolutely ruin a boss battle).
