I've downloaded and played the short but sweet demo for this game and I'm impressed.
but somehow the demo stutters from time to time and then runs smoothly for a while and then it stutters for like a second or so. I was wondering does this happend to anyone else.
My computer is cappable of running the game at high specs for it's not a demanding game.

I hope this is only a demo issue because this game is gonna rock so hard.

well it's the same engine as they used in F.E.A.R. and Condemned it's kinda like what left 4 dead is to halflife 2. I'm not a graphic whore or something but I just don't see why my game doesn't run smooth. I even get better performance in crysis on high settings.

I liked it. It scared me enough times to buy it.

Oh, and fuck you, monolith from 2001 a Space Odyssey.

They let go of the rights to do another Aliens FPS game, now being made by Sega.

Fuck you Monolith

its teething issues with the game engine being slightly modified, if they don't rectify it by release date

Fuck you Monolith

I've noticed from the original to its expansions F.E.A.R. seems to decline in graphical quality. This better not carry over to the goddamn sequel.

Ehhh...I wasn't that impressed with the demo. Sure, I can appreciate all the work that went into it, but it doesn't look like a game that I'd like to buy.
The environment is too damn dark and there's some annoying grain filter overlay thing all the time. It's also not as tense as the first F.E.A.R. There was only one instance in the demo that startled me (those of you that played it know what I'm talking about and those of you that are about to play WILL know what I'm talking about).
I am however, very impressed with the gore effects, however excessive it may be. Towards the end of the demo you get to do something really cool, and THAT was fun for me. Still, I don't think I'm going to buy this game come February 10.

I downloaded the demo for PS3 (seeing as Microsoft are only letting Hold members download) and I thought it was okay. It's got the action of FEAR and the horror of FEAR and some attempt has been made to bring them closer together. To be honest though, it's still a little jarring and the horror sections are still much better than the shooter sections.

Next is the controls. Whoever decided that R2 is a good button for shooting on PS3 is fucking stupid and sadistic and deserves to be shot. The only other complaint is the frankly shocking framerate drops during intense action scenes.
