Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood multiplayer.

I really like the concept of this multiplayer mode, and for a majority of it, it's a lot of fun.

But.

It's also completely full of shit. So many completely nonsensical and utterly game breaking things happen to the point where I cannot even take it seriously anymore.
You're given loads of abilities to defend yourself and to aid you in hunting enemies, too bad nearly every single ability absolutely refuses to work for you and fucks the entire experience up.

Smoke bombs: Makes someone cough and lose control. Great for stopping an assassin while being hunted. Supposed to stop assassinations. The catch? It doesn't. I drop a smoke bomb 3 seconds before someone assassinates me. He effortlessly hammers my face in anyway. Someone else tries it, it seems to work for them nearly every time.

Fireworks: Blinds people and makes NPC's panic. Great for revealing a person hiding in a crowd. Blinded NPC's crouch down, while players are left standing on their own which is a dead giveaway. The catch? It also doesn't work. Seems to be more reliable than other abilities. But I've dropped a firework right in front of a crowd of NPC's, and see one person left standing on his own. I move in to assassinate; surprise! That was an NPC too! Grats for wasting your ability, your time, and getting stunned! The fireworks not doing jack shit was totally my fault right!?

Mute: Fuck this ability. Most unreliable ability in the game. When you pick this ability, the game just laughs at you. It's worked for me probably about 4 or 5 times in the about 100 times I've tried to use it. The rest of the times, I still fucking die.

Or how about Charge. The cheapest self-satisfaction-press-button-to-win-the-game ability to use. Sure it's not too hard to avoid it, but it doesn't change the fact that unless you know for a fact that someone is using it, you're probably going to get fucked over at least once.

Or people standing on rooftops. I run from one end of the building to the other, and someone this guy manages to jump sideways off the rooftop through awnings and clipping through the building itself to kill me. Yeah, that's cool.

I notice a lot of people raging about the gun, but honestly I barely mind it. I never use it unless I need to kill assholes on rooftops in assassinate, and I myself barely ever get killed by it. And it barely awards any points either. At least the gun works, and for the most part is easy and sensible to avoid.

It's not just me either. I play with friends and the same shit happens to them. I've seen random enemy players get fucked over too. I've killed people inside smoke clouds, I've seen someone drop a firework and kill a random NPC that wasn't affected by it. I've been muted yet still able to kill the person who did it.
Sometimes it just seems like the game has no rules. It's broken up the ass and infuriating to play.

When the game actually "works", it's fantastic and one of the best multiplayer experiences in recent years. I still like to play it, but it pisses me off like no other game does.

Call of Duty. I could only take so much of the online before I was like "fuck this."

I play Battlefield now.

Also F.E.A.R. 2, because I realized how much it sucked in comparison to the first game.

We all have hit that point where you just have to walk away and do something else before you blow a gasket. It happened recently and it involved me playing the new Fallout:New Vegas DLC and a bunch of Irradiated Deathclaws. Not fun until I found a good sniper perch and lots of armor pearcing .308 rounds.

Bioshock and Mass Effect.

Bioshock when I got tired of the real lack of any story or character development

Mass Effect when I realized it was just another Bland sci-fi series.

The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring for the PS2.

I think it came out before the film did, cause the design was rather different...

First level, I was tasked with avoiding Ring Wraiths. It didn't matter what I did, I would always be found and it would be insta-game over.

I HATED that game.

Duke Nukem Forever. I wanted to play it since I was six years old, and after getting it a couple of days ago (At the tender age of 14) Played it, and still haven't stopped coughing up blood. Want to know how bad it is? Three words: Slappable Wall-Tits. Do I need to say anything else?

Dead Island, fucking loved the game for a good 20h or so..
Then wondered into the "Bio-hazard" area in the city, died about 6-7 times before i could get out.
I thought it was the game just being a dick, sudden explosion of difficulty.. untill i came back to playing it and realised that area is supposed to be shit hard.

It's been said before, but I feel it needs said again. Deus Ex:HR. That first boss fight made me turn off my Xbox and walk away 3 times. I finally just started throwing proximity mines down and, in what I consider an extreme act of mercy on the game's part, the idiot walked into every freaking one of them. It was not the prettiest boss fight ever, but I didn't break the disk in frustration. I'm calling that a win.

I nearly rage quit over final fantasy X for their sigils, but not because the Sigils are hard to get. They are hard to obtain mind you but this is basically what happened.

I was doing the chocobo races to try and get Tidus' ultimate weapon activated, and after four hours my best time was still 2.3 seconds. So I said fuck it, and decided to try a different character's sigil.

So I went to the thunder plains, and got 187 jumps. 187, just 13 away from the amount I actually needed. Then boom, I didn't press at the right time, and I lost the count.

So finally I said fuck it, and just decided to do something a little easier and do some monster catching in the game. Well I got five of all monsters and unlocked one of the original creations that gives you 60 dark matter for unlocking. Wanting to see what Dark Matter does, I scrolled through and saw "Break Weapon Damage Limit," the ONE FUCKING FEATURE ANYONE EVER GETS FOR ULTIMATE WEAPONS!

I nearly threw my controller at my TV in a fit of rage.

After that, I simply calmed down, and went to an online site that details the 4 specific abilities of each ultimate weapon and discovered that I could just easily frigging build them if I wanted, and I did.

So yeah, in case anyone still plays FFX and is frustrated beyond belief trying to get the sigils, don't bother. Dark Matter is easier to obtain. Just beat the ever loving shit out of Catastrophe a bunch of times with Anima or something.
You're gonna hate me for this but the reason for unlocking the ultimate weapons isn't for the weapons itself (you're right in that you can just craft the equivalent effects) but to unlock the break the damage limit for most of the Aeons. Seeing as some of the monster Arena battles essentially require it, there's no real substitute.

There are actually a few ways to make each boss pieces of piss.

Concussion grenades and the combat rifle. Seriously. Even on hard mode, throw one 'nade, duck out of the way so you don't blind yourself, pop out, empty a clip into 'em, reload, repeat. They go down in two clips if your aim is decent.

Captcha: Loquacity nsitypha. Why yes, captcha, DX3's bosses were very fucking loquacious

This is not true. I don't mean I disagree with you, I mean that you are factually wrong.

The hard to get items for ultimate weapons are the Sigils, which unlock damage limits for a character's weapon, and this is just as obtainable with dark matter.

To unlock damage limits with Valefor, Ifrit, Ixion, and Shiva, you need only the crests, not the sigils, which the crests are FAR easier to obtain.

Further, With Valefor, Ifrit, Shiva and Ixion being pretty much entirely useless compared to Anima or the Magus Sisters, it is not even remotely required for the Arena.

The only use those four Aeons serve once you get to the monster Arena is damage-soaking.

Half Life 2
After escaping the lab with Dog's help, and traveling to ravenholm. I come across the (elevator?) shaft with the locked ladder in it.

Not noticing the padlock. I simply stack up boxes until I can reach the part that ISN'T locked.
Still can't grab it.
After an hour of a half of stacking-restacking and jumping. I finally notice the padlock.
Shoot it.
Save, quit. Cry.

Oh, and lava + diamonds.

Every VALVe game I've preordered, on release night. . .

Episode 2, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal 2, ALL had 4-5 issues that hindered me from playing once they were released. Be it missing files, decryption failure, "updating" the game (when its really redownloading the whole thing).

And it's only VALVe games, Deus Ex, Bad Company 2, Borderlands, BioShock 2, decrypted and launched within 20 minutes of them being released. Meh. Fuck you VALVe.
All my Valve games on the Source Engine randomly freeze with looping audio. Like when I was about to backstab a Heavy in TF2.
