I'm loving it at the moment. Great story, great atmosphere and a fantastic in-game world to explore. A massive step up from Fable 2 in my opinion.

Just a great adventure overall.

P.M didn't really hype this at all, so I'm just looking forward to it on it's own merits:
It's going to be fun.
You can own a country.
The story looks promising.
The voice actors seem competent.

My European copy (which was released today) has just arrived and am I psyched for it?

Well, YES of course I am, I didn't shell more money to get a limited Collector's edition just to sit here and say it's over-hyped....

Archemetis shall be disappearing for a few days me'thinks.

Yeah I think it's a huge step up from Fable 2 as well. This game feels more polished.

Though I don't like the fact they have taken away our choice of expressions to use. Why do I always have to do what the game tells me?

when you unlock the dam expresion packs(which i think is the worst part of the game sadly) what you do changes every time you use the same expression.

Fable 3 received very little hype, or at least nothing more than normal game advertising. Can people stop using this as an excuse for not liking the game? I hated Fable 2 because it was a shallow, unchallenging, and unengaging experience and am assuming that little has changed for Fable 3. That's my experience with the game, if you enjoyed it and the new one, then that's great. It just bothers me that people keep saying "I hated it because it was hyped!" and "I loved it because I didn't listen to the hype!"

But if I'm doing a nice expression I'm always dancing then chatting then tickling and then playing pat a cake and then back to dancing. Why can't I just choose the expressions like the other 2 games? A minor gripe but still it's taken a lot of control and choice out of the game for me.

Still loving the game though.

yeah you have to get them to be your friend then you get stuff like whistleing and hand shakes and once they love you, you get hug and kiss and can propose. hope this helps:)
and yes it is a dissapointment that you dont have the old expression style but the game is ammazeing.

Fable has always been a kinda 'RPG-lite'. It's fun, but not overwhelming. Keep it in that mindset, and it's fun. I've played 1 and 2, and I liked them when you take them on their own. So in keeping with the standards of the previous games, it'll be good. Compared to Fallout New Vegas? Epic Fail.

So far so good. Definitely an awesome game at the moment. Played for about 2 hours and it's great. Nothing funnier than running round in a chicken suit chasing chickens.
There are so many funnier things than that. So many.

OT: I wasn't excited because I though it was coming out in like, a month. Now that I own it, I'm excited as shit. It's a great game.

I think it's got a lot to be desired.

The first half of the story was pretty typical, but that's not a bad thing. I wouldn't be playing Fable if I didn't like the slightly corny plotlines. The problem is they didn't do much new with the setting. Fable 1 and 2 had an outstanding difference between time periods and I loved it. Fable 3 just feels like all of those crazy inventors just decided to stop inventing, which kind of makes sense but makes for a disappointing presentation. The monsters were an even more diluted batch taken from Fable 1 and the spells are exactly the same ones from Fable 2. The only new mechanic is the health healing over time.

I would have had enough fun with the humor mixed in with the sameness if the second half of the game wasn't so bad. When I became king, I was still trying to build up my goody two shoes meter when it started presenting me with all of these moral decisions. And I keep wanting to shoot Reaver in the face but the game just won't let me. It lets me kill everyone else who even slightly gets on my nerves, but not Reaver. I'm beginning to suspect that he's an author's darling.

Ugh I can't get Fable 3 till the 7th. I love the way Peter talks about his games. It actually shows he enjoys making them. Sure a lot of what he says doesn't get put in, but at least he likes making his games, and seems to like us playing them. I may be biased but I've liked Lionhead and Peter Molyneux since Black and White. I want Fable3 so bad I froth at the mouth.

It looks pretty good to me, but I'm going to be waiting til' Christmas before I can pick up any new game that I want.

It'll be a must get if my girlfriend gets it though. Waaay to much fun to be had in that case to wait.

Petey does tend to overhype things... but the concept sound a bit more interesting than the first two with the whole "revolution" thing. Plus you gotta love just how passionate Petey is about his games. They're never the best thing ever but god damn he wants them to be.

Yes it's over-hyped. I liked the second one better BUT (contrary to my past posts) it has grown on me and is giving me some fun...but over-hyped it be.
