I'm loving it at the moment. Great story, great atmosphere and a fantastic in-game world to explore. A massive step up from Fable 2 in my opinion.

Just a great adventure overall.
Yeah I think it's a huge step up from Fable 2 as well. This game feels more polished.

Though I don't like the fact they have taken away our choice of expressions to use. Why do I always have to do what the game tells me?
when you unlock the dam expresion packs(which i think is the worst part of the game sadly) what you do changes every time you use the same expression.
But if I'm doing a nice expression I'm always dancing then chatting then tickling and then playing pat a cake and then back to dancing. Why can't I just choose the expressions like the other 2 games? A minor gripe but still it's taken a lot of control and choice out of the game for me.

Still loving the game though.
yeah you have to get them to be your friend then you get stuff like whistleing and hand shakes and once they love you, you get hug and kiss and can propose. hope this helps:)
and yes it is a dissapointment that you dont have the old expression style but the game is ammazeing.
Yeah I've got all the expressions but I hate having to always dance or play pat a cake just to get to the other expressions. But as I said before it's just a minor gripe.

Hmm my thoughts so far are much improved art design, sleek menu system, coherent narrative with memorable characters, lots of charm in character design and overall world, improved magic system, pretty sweet weapon upgrade and morphing mechanic. On the opposite crap side are, shallow, broken, and repetitive melee and ranged combat(magic is far more effect in all situation), very limited moral choice system, again like fable two the soundtrack just doesn't compare to fable one's brilliance, and cheap grindy game lengtheners(fetch quests for every npc).

On a side note, I loved aurora continent. While I found the rest of the soundtrack kinda bland the theme while exploring the desert was pretty sweet.

[quote="ranger19" post="9.240676.8714040"how about the random woman who gives you quests and narrates the story, but in one part miraciously cannot reach you because you're in the fog? What is this, bad cell reception?[/quote]

i'm assuming you didn't get too far into the first game? theresa was your sister in the first one...and is appearantly f*cking immortal, kinda wish they would explain that actually, she was blinded by bandits, became psychic....then worked for bandits... in the end of the first one you actually can kill her..dunno how she supposedly got outa that

Yeah I'm over the fetching quests and limited choices for expressions and moral choices but it's still a damn fun game.

Yes, in my opinion, it is overhyped.
I played it around a friends, and it just seemed to ooze out of the screen 'Crap'.
Boring, spammy combat, uninteresting areas (Like the last game, the areas seemed pointless and just as bridges between other areas, with nothing worth exploring in them).
It also seemed like it can't make it's bloody mind up whether it wants to be a funny, lighthearted game (Dressing as a chicken, Simon Pegg, Stephen Fry, and John Cleese doing humourous voiec acting.) and a serious, revolutionary-themed game (Story, setting, etc.).

Molyneux also seems to have given up on his idea that 'Features does not equal good game', I heard him say that in an interview and I agree, Fable 2's features detracted from the overall quality because they just cluttered it unneseccarily.
Has Peter learnt his lesson? Even after explaining that he was aware of the problem, and wanted to fix it?
No.
He's just replaced it with different features.
The Expression wheel remains, stupidly, and they've fucked up menus. I loved the menus. Simple, and easy to use.
I don't want to be pulled into an entirely seperate play area just to change weapons, thanks...

I haven't played it, even if it is awesome, it'll still be overhyped. We're talking about Peter Molyneux here, the man who could overhype the second coming.

OT: Never played the Fable series but would like to give it a go... sadly, I don't do consoles so will have to wait for the PC release and it doesn't even have a date on it yet x.x

So I've been married six times, killed 2 of my wives, had 3 children and adopted another, bought almost every business and house in the lands and I'm still playing and enjoying it. As soon as I finish the story I will be jumping into some co-op online.

Finally got round to finishing the main story after doing all the side quests and I have to say the big bad fight at the end was extremely easy. Actually the whole game was easy but the big bad was too easy. Other than that I still love the game and will play through again.

It's a Peter Molyneux game. So naturally, it's all hype and no substance.
At least his unique brand of toilet humor is still there, but I'm not really wanting to pay 60+ bucks for a game that's slightly more classy than Beavis and Butthead.

First two games promised everyting, delivered little.
Got bored after five minutes. Went back to Oblivion.

Actually in my opinion Fable 3 was tons better than the horrid Fable 2
Definitely this.

Fable 2 just left a bad taste in my mouth. However, with 3 I actually felt compelled to continue playing it after the ending.

Yeah that's a fair call. And I also had way too many bugs in Fable 2 but didn't come across any in 3.
