I have to admire Molyneux. He never stops striving towards achieving something big. Sure, he may overhype his games and end up ruining them for people that believe the hype, but I think he does this because he has a sanguine outlook. Not because he's trying to cheat gamers into thinking that his game will be better than it actually is. While his goals may be unrealistic, he aims to achieve them none the less. So while I don't particularly care for his games, I still like him just because he seems to have legitimate passion when it comes to making games.

I hope Fable 3 does meet expectations, though I do realize that it probably won't.

Umm, what 360 exclusive title has sold over 5 million copies? Looking at VG Charts you have to be either part of the Halo or Gears Of War franchise to do that.
Not even the mighty Mass Effect 2 has achieved this yet.
And ME2 isn't even an exclusive.

I think it'll depend on how hyped people are about natal, seeing how natal is primarily gonan be focused on casual games (like teh wii) it may end up as LoZ:tp, one of teh few early good non-casual games on natal.
technicly neither are halo and gears, halo 1 and 2 were both on pc and gears was also
Exactly.

Did you PLAY Fable?? It was blinking brilliant! Yeah Fable 2 took a beating from the Hyped-Up-Turd stick, but the man admitted his mistake. I'm quite pleased to see a developer who's not afraid to say stupid things. At least he's got ambition, which is more than I can say for some people GTA IV. Was their intention to create a game more dull than life?? POINT IS that the current trend in gaming is to strive for cinematic experience, obviously developers can see something good about that, and since he's making Natal optional anyway, where's the harm? If Natal lets me kick ass without my controller running out of batteries, and lets my inept other half have a bash too, why the hell wouldn't I welcome it? And if it's rubbish I won't buy it, problem solved. Awww Yiss.

He's on thin ice currently, Mr. Molyneux is. If he redoes fable 2, I may just assassinate boycott him. No more mistakes, perfection or bust.

At this point, I don't care too much after the let down Fable 2 was. Peter Molyneux always has these big notions that his games will be like the new tetris of the 21st century but ultimately is eating his own words. Unless "renting it from Blockbuster" (if they are still around at the point when the game comes out) counts as one of these 5 million copies sold, I will be glad so long as Peter Molyneux shuts up.

Not everyone can innovate, some people work on what's been done, hence Twilight Princess being ace, yet the same as every other Zelda game. Innovation is a risk, and quite frankly there's nothing wrong with a decent 3rd person hack'n'slash dungeony adventure role play thingy...Fable...Thing.

Anyway, who died and made Peter the new Uwe Boll? Because unfortunately it sure wasn't Uwe.

Calling him Uwe Boll is a bit much, he's more like Kevin Costner.

But you know what, just like Kevin I don't blame Peter.

I blame all the idiots that keep giving him another chance...0o

WOAH now, I just made the implication that people are treating him like the E-man, which no one but he himself deserves. I like that Peter gives himself something to aim for. Sure, his games aren't as great as they are in his mind, but Halo isn't as good as lots of people seem to think. I guess it just comes down to how much you can listen to someone dream in the guise of a game mechanic, maybe I'm just a big softie, but we all knew that we could never trust the hype.

You were right, Nomanslander- We've no one to blame BUT OURSELVES.

But I think he's a pretty cool guy. So take what you will.

And dude, shame about Corey Haim, that sucked.

I certainly won't be contributing to that 5-million copies after the disappointment that was fable 2.
