While some people say they haven't developed a connection with the dog, I have. He barks a lot, gets in the way and does some inexplicably stupid things; just like a real dog! I guess that's what has endeared me to him. He reminds me very much of my dog. You can hear his paws scampering frantically behind you as he pissbolts past, panting like a mad man and then starts digging off in the distance. Good stuff.
The way the dog in Fable 2 can sometimes walk straight through you is a bit disconcerting but I'll give Pete Molyneux an A for effort.

Can someone help explain the sleep/rest mechanic to me?

Early on in the game, I was able to sleep at my 'cart' within the Gypsy camp to help recover health.

Now somewhere along the way, something changed...and I'm not sure what. Is it because I'm on an 'official' quest as opposed to free roaming? Everytime I go to a bed and have the option to press 'A' to sleep, I am returned with a message: "You cannot do that now."

I haven't been able to 'sleep' for days now within the game, and the manual doesn't really go into depth on what the parameters are here.

Please help.

Are you in-quest. If you're currently dealing with an active main quest it won't let you sleep. Completing said quest will allow you to catch some hard earned rest.

Great almost 100% with this game, sadly one of the last achievements require you to get all the dolls which your world only spawns 1 doll. Which is very annoying. So imma looking for a person that has the achievement that they could sell to me. I'm willing to give 2 million gold or whatever I can possiably get or do. Yes I'm a sad achievement whore but when it's in within such a close grasp it's sorta hard not to go all the way.

That must be it...I had that inkling thought yesterday...but it just doesn't make 'sense'. You should (IMHO) to rest during a quest seeing that you need to travel to diffrent resions that takes 'hours to days'...it onkly makes sense your character would rest from time to time.

Thanks

Got a Theresa doll going for free if you want it. Not fussed about achievements or gold now that I'm Queen...or King of all Albion.

This game has been a sparkling gem, but there are nonetheless two issues that are bugging me.

1: a couple of vendors have disappeared completely, including the Bower Lake tatoo artist

2: the furniture dealer in the market doesn't seem to sell any furniture.

I noticed that with the furniture dealer in Bowerstone too, all she had was a book, and then when I went back she had sold out of everything. Kinda annoyed me when I couldn't just take the display models from around the place.

I noticed that too as I searched the camp over and over for him.

As far as furniture goes....I can buy it, I just can't seem to place it yet at buildings I own. I bought a chair and table for my 'cart' at the Gypsy Camp which shows '0 Decoration', and yet I can't seem to place them...

How do you get that? Is it an official title or are you just allowed to say that because you own everything in Albion? I own all of Bowerstone Market (Except Castle Fairfax), Old Bowerstone, Oakvale, and Bloodstone, and most of Westcliff, and I've yet to be named "mayor" or "king" of anything.

You can only replace furniture that's already in the house. Since there's no furniture in your gypsy caravan, you can't replace anything.

(Except Castle Fairfax)
And there's what you lack. Buy Castle Fairfax for the Mayor Title, get the Ruler of Albion achievement to access the King/Queen titles.

Don't forget to do the Castle Fairfax dungeon after you buy it if you want the sex change potion.

That potion seemed like a good idea at the time. But when I used it I was just a huge ugly woman. I regret that now.

If you've finished any major combat quests like the Crucible, take out all your points in Physique to become attractive again. Also try to get your Fatness to 0 or a positive number. Turns out minus points in Fatness means you're fat, rather than positive points in it. Eat celery to be pretty. Also, female dreadlocks=hot!

Is there a way to check how close I am to getting the achievement? I make like 15 or 20k every five minutes, but that has nothing to do with it, right?

It's real estate wealth, so it's how much you've bought in regards to houses and shops. Castle Fairfax makes up a whopping 1 million of the 2 and a half million you need for the achievement. I believe that you can check it under Logbook->Stats->Real Estate Wealth for your current status. Just buy everything you can. Increasing the economy of areas helps to increase real estate wealth as well. Upgrading your houses with trophies and new decoration can help as well.

Right about fairfax. I don't even think you need the rest of Bowerstone to get the mayor title. How do you become ruler of albion? Buy the Castle, Reaver's place and some other castle-like places I might've forgot about or buy everything? Or buy everything in every city leaving stalls that are out of town alone?

2.5 Million gold in real estate wealth. I had everything I could find bought up (Brightwood tower, Reaver's mansion, Graveyard mansion etc.) by the time I picked up Fairfax, so I'm not sure if you need *everything*, you could probably skip out on part of the Gypsy camp as most of the stuff there comes pretty cheap, but as it comes cheap, may as well buy it for extra rent, right?

If anyone learned what happened to Oakvale (Wraithmarsh) between the two Fables, then you should buy Reavers mansion and search for the diary entries, it literally blew my mind

All the little references are what makes this game immersive for me, i walked up to the Oakvale bridge and literally said, 'the fuck happened here??'

Also before i even got to Oakvale i discovered 3 interesting gravestones in Wraithmarsh. Those lore whores (me) may get a kick out of this. The first Gravestone was for Brom, the second was for Rosie the teddy and the 3rd was the Unknown Trader

Yeah, turns out Castle Fairfax was all it took to get me past the 2.5 mil mark. I hadn't even checked, then I bought it and I got 100G. :D

On a seperate note, does anyone know how to unlock that gate by the guard tower in Bowerstone Market? That damn silver key has been taunting me the entire game.

So, apparently your coop partner really does join in all of your escapades, wink-wink.

Here's an example:
Develop a homosexual relationship -- get married, get a house, &c.
Observer how having unprotected sex with your spouse doesn't lead to kids. Try it a bunch of times if you must.
Bring in a henchman character of the opposite sex.
Go bone your sweetie.
You'll get a child (might take a few tries, but you'll get a child).
