Yes, in addition to learning about Natal's use in Fable III, we've also learned that there could be shops for microtransaction. From what we've heard, it would simply allow for an easier method of obtaining items rather than exclusive items only available via microtransaction.

My point of view on this is I won't use it. Many people probably won't, so I question it's presence. Especially if it doesn't beget unique or somehow special gear. Once again, this isn't quite confirmed as of yet, and may turn out to be false.

While I'm tempted to say, "as long as I can get the item w/o purchasing it's ok", but that's the wrong school of thought. Because if this success on a large scale it shows that customers are willing to pay microtransactions, potentially making them common place. Eventually this could lead to "Get the best items in the game, exclusively for 5 dollars." It's one thing I'm fully against, paying for DLC packs is one thing(as long as the value justifies the price), but paying out for an individual items is a slippery slope that I will not support with my dollars.

Wow....just wow. This is getting a little ridiculous. Single player games should NOT have this stupid shit in them. I fucking hate micro transactions.

So... You can spend money to get stuff in the game that you can get anyway? Because making money in Fable has always been one of the harder things to do?

Yeah... No. Moleyneux has officially lost touch with his last glimmerling beacon of reality.

Hey, sounds like the BF: Bad Company Gold Edition! Where you can pay $10 more to unlock guns...that you can unlock via multiplayer fairly easily! Which aren't all that great anyway!

Umm I really hate to be the bearer of bad news but Magna Carta 2 has ninja'ed you. For the low price of 5 bucks you get 12 weapons that you won't see unless you buy (and are stronger than any end game weapon you might find). And just to sweeten the deal they will give you 60 achievement points. Yes give you 60 points. There is 3 live dramas available from the menu screen and after you buy the pack you get 20 points each for watching them. Oh and did I mention this DLC pack was put up within a week of launch?

Fable has already failed, with a lack of a final boss fight in the second game, to the ease of which one could get gold in the second game, to the crappy weapons in the second game... See a pattern here?

Oh wow, I loved both Fable games but if this is true I am staying away from the third one, FAR away. I've had enough of free to play browser games busting my balls trying to make me pay small amounts all the time, I'm not gonna go through this for something i paid 60$ for.

I remember a time when you bought a game...And that was it, you had it. Why must you pay now AND pay later for the game that you legally own razzlefraggamughadockaah *degenerates into wordless ranting*

And the crappy story? And the crappy "jobs" thing? And the crappy NPCs? And the crappy wank about getting married and having kids?

The game was terrible. A pity as I actually liked Fable 1.

I have no problem with microtransactions PROVIDING they are not for the best or most powerful weapons or armour in the game.

If they are there for amusing or funny items then fair enough, if people wish to pay money for a 'scary mask' or a 'sword made from balloons' then let them. Just don't make the best stuff availble.

If microtransactions and natal stop the series from being one of the dullest experiences in gaming then so be it. I'll swallow my pride and admit that they are good things.

You should just make a single thread of "Things Lionhead are doing to try and ruin Fable III." That way we can keep updating it the more we hear about the game.

This is getting ridiculous though, two terrible updates in two days.
