This new update makes me seriously consider rebooting my facebook account. I have way too much crap liked and too many photos.

You don't have to do it yet so I'm not going to give in!
You were given a choice? It got forced onto me >_<
Personally this update has made me seriously consider deleting my account, they were already treading on thin ice with the whole privacy business
Treading on thin ice? Someone in the US probably knows everything about me :p.
Just in case you didn't know this, there are plenty of companies out there with all your information. This has been going on since before Facebook.

True, but wouldn't facebook be the most efficient at doing this? They're a very a big company after all.

I'm not sure about efficiency, but I'm positive the whole premise of Facebook stealing your data is overblown just because the site is so popular.

Interwebz protip: Never post anything on the internet that you don't want the world to know.

OT: I've actually looked forward to this timeline thing. It looks very interesting to me.

You too, huh? It was supposed to launch three or four months ago, and I was really disappointed when it didn't -- which makes this the first time Facebook has disappointed me by /not/ changing something. People with developer's access (which you can get by submitting any old app) have had it for months, and one of my friends got dev access just so he could have the timeline. From what he's told me, it's really cool. Have you ever wanted to go back and read a post from more than a day or two ago? Or worse, one from a month or more ago? Yeah, this makes it actually feasible. In fact, if you have your Twitter account tied to Facebook, it even includes your tweets -- which means you can easily go back through those, too. Now be honest, how many of you have read a blog post which linked to someone's twitter feed, followed the link, and found out that because it went to their main page, instead of to a permalink of the tweet, you can't find it anymore? This can fix that, if there's a profile page linked to the twitter feed and set to public.
