Anyway there is a difference based on a certain factors but last time I checked the racial difference was not statistically significant. I do not believe this is how pregnancy and birth works. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think testosterone is magically predetermined at birth. Since it can vary throughout your life and all.

Both are true: testosterone levels in the womb have important effects that last throughout life, and so do varying testosterone levels in puberty and beyond. For example there is a phenomenon where the youngest of a series of brothers is sometimes exposed to less pre-natal testosterone than his older siblings, and is more likely to be gay (% chance of being gay increases with the number of older brothers).

Although people are posting all these figures and stuff, just think about it logically for a second. When you grow from childhood to adulthood all aspects of your body maintain some sort of relative proportions (so your arms won't just grow and your legs won't). If you break average height by geographic location I think you'll find that black people are on average the tallest and asians the smallest. Therefore assuming they are growing somewhat reasonably they should be on average bigger. That being said you're probably looking at the maximum a couple centimeters which quite frankly ain't that much.

As much as I also wish we could move on as a culture, enough people take pleasure from the feeling (or, at least the idea) of a large penis to the point that people feel it is very important to their sex-life. Couple this to the fact that many people are used to seeing men who apparently have a penis somewhere between bigger-than-average to large-enough-to-be-given-another-seat-on-a-plane thanks to pornography, a lot of men feel they are inadequate to a man with a larger penis even if they feel they do well in bed.

As nice as it is for a guy who is quite ugly to know his girlfriend loves him for his personality, it doesn't stop him wanting a prettier face.

I hate to be cliche, but what about how to use it? Women's vaginal canals have not lengthened as men's penises have grown you know.

A few hundreds year ago the average was about an inch shorter thsan todays average (5 inches instead of 6 inches for the average caucasian) and that was considered a good fit with your lady friend. A longer penis has more chance of hitting her cervix, and if there's one thing you absolutely do not want to do during sex, it's hit her there. Flailing, kicking, throwing you out of bed and probably not letting you near her for the rest of the night will follow depending on how hard you thrust.

Also, the key is width. Remember that the cluster of nerves you're looking to stimulate is only an inch or so inside, and located on the top. It won't matter how long you are if you aren't thick enough to be hitting that spot.

Curious as to whether any ladies are reading this, because I find that usually they give a better idea about what women actually want from a penis, what with being women themselves and all.

Bear in mind that these are all average lengths, and there are probably outliers in all cultures with abnormally large dongs.

This graph is dubious. The BMJ is not likely to have published a US study.

I think you don't understand how medical journals work. The BMJ is one of the oldest and prestigious medical journals in the world. They don't commission studies or stuff like that, people come to them with studies and they review them and decide whether they want to publish it. So it has studies from all around the world, including the US. The issues with the graph post is a lack of references and other contributing information. Not the fact it's in the BMJ.

Isn't it based on your testosterone levels from birth? It's what starts the transformation from female to male. This is why you can't get the gender discovered in the first trimester. Because it'll always appear female. This is the same with all mammals.

If black men are larger, it's only because these black men have more testosterone than other people. Which isn't specifically race specific.

Actually it's true, all fetuses start out female, and it's the testosterone that masculinizes the fetus and causes it to form a penis. A fetus with XY chromosomes that is not exposed to testosterone in the womb will be born with a normal looking vagina and assigned female sex at birth. Usually these girls grow up normally, and even grow breasts at puberty, but eventually since they don't menstruate it is discovered that they have XY chromosomes and undescended testicles instead of a uterus and ovaries. This condition is called "androgen insensitivity syndrome", and so even though an XY chromosome usually goes together with testosterone, some times it does not, and it's actually the testosterone that masculinizes the fetus, not the XY chromosome.

hispanic is not a race lmaoyou can be a black,white or asian hispanic even mixed race hispanic. I dont understand why some people cant understand that simple concept alot of so called hispanics are jsut black men and white men or women who speak a foreign language. Then you got the mixed raced hispanics like jlo who are shown all over tv when majority of hispanics are dark skin not lightskin and a good portion of so called hispanics have african blood.

as a "hispanic woman" i hate the word 90% of so called hispanics dont even speak spanish and a good portion of them are haevily infulenced by african culture cough cough puerto ricans,dominicians, half of south america etc
