I've seen this come up before. As always so much conflicting information pops up. However, when it comes to the United States or any country with a lot of immigration, how accurate can the information be when the US is made up almost all cultures on earth?

I hate to be cliche, but what about how to use it? Women's vaginal canals have not lengthened as men's penises have grown you know.

A few hundreds year ago the average was about an inch shorter thsan todays average (5 inches instead of 6 inches for the average caucasian) and that was considered a good fit with your lady friend. A longer penis has more chance of hitting her cervix, and if there's one thing you absolutely do not want to do during sex, it's hit her there. Flailing, kicking, throwing you out of bed and probably not letting you near her for the rest of the night will follow depending on how hard you thrust.

Also, the key is width. Remember that the cluster of nerves you're looking to stimulate is only an inch or so inside, and located on the top. It won't matter how long you are if you aren't thick enough to be hitting that spot.

Curious as to whether any ladies are reading this, because I find that usually they give a better idea about what women actually want from a penis, what with being women themselves and all.

As a white man with larger than average size (for caucasian) I like to look at it from the perspective of the woman I have had sex with. The black woman say I am as big as a black guy and are like my size, white women usually have to get used to it the first time or two, and asian (I live in Japan) have straight up refused to have sex with me saying its too big. I think that in itself is telling of what women expect from their similiar ethnic partners.

Well , i think it has to do with the height of a person . Usually black men are taller , thus have bigger members , as in arms, legs ,hands , penis . Being tall and having a small penis would look strange , whereas being short and having a huge penis would look strange . However that doesn't mean tall people can't have small penises and short people can't have large ones . It just doesn't look proportionate .

That being said , i measured mine , and incidentally , it is roughly half the length of my foot ( a little bit more) , i have always heard that a mans penis size has something to do with his foot so ... My foot 14 inches long ( big toe to heel) and my penis is 7 1/2 inches when erect .

Take from that what you will.

Penis size doesn't reflect height. Plus, as far as black men go, they heavily run the gauntlet.

Penis size also has little to no correlation to foot or hand size.

Also, Jesus Christ! How is your foot 14" long at 6'3"? I'm 6'5", considered to have HUGE feet, and my longer foot is 11".

I'm 5'11" and my feet are 13". They've been that long since I was 13, maybe 14. I'm about average where I dangle for a caucasian.

Actually it's true, all fetuses start out female, and it's the testosterone that masculinizes the fetus and causes it to form a penis. A fetus with XY chromosomes that is not exposed to testosterone in the womb will be born with a normal looking vagina and assigned female sex at birth. Usually these girls grow up normally, and even grow breasts at puberty, but eventually since they don't menstruate it is discovered that they have XY chromosomes and undescended testicles instead of a uterus and ovaries. This condition is called "androgen insensitivity syndrome", and so even though an XY chromosome usually goes together with testosterone, some times it does not, and it's actually the testosterone that masculinizes the fetus, not the XY chromosome.

And that's a birth defect. Normal fetuses generate the appropriate genetalia because their genes tell them to. Only when something goes wrong do abnormalities happen.

The point is that the testosterone masculinizes the fetus, not the genes. The birth defect demonstrates that an individual who has the genes but not the testosterone is not masculinized, ergo it is the testosterone and not the genes that are responsible for the masculinization.

i never quite understood why people put so much more emphasis on length. girth is generally more important, unless your little you is really really short. based on that map, it doesnt seem like race makes a huge difference (no pun intended) and certainly not to the extent that porn would have you believe. yeah, most black porn stars have a lot going for them, so to speak, but i cant think of too many male porn stars, in general, with small equipment

Actually it has everything to do with overall body size and nothing to do with skin color. A 7 foot tall man is far more likely to have a big schlock than 5 foot tall guy.

But, in comparison, vaginas also come in varying sizes just like penises do and not all women could comfortably handle the seven foot tall guy and would be more comfortable with the small guy. Huge guys also have to be careful otherwise they can cause some significant damage. Not all women are porn star sporting an entrance the size of a coffee can just like not all guys have a summer sausage. Don't compare yourself to porn stars, normal people CAN'T have sex with them.

You can't take the paint of broad generalizations and dump it all over the matter of sex. It's a very personalized thing.

Penis = half of a persons foot size + half an inch.

I could be wrong , but seems too much of a coincidence for me .

My foot is 9.5 inches long. So the difference between your theory and my reality is 2.22 inches.

This graph is dubious. The BMJ is not likely to have published a US study.

I think you don't understand how medical journals work. The BMJ is one of the oldest and prestigious medical journals in the world. They don't commission studies or stuff like that, people come to them with studies and they review them and decide whether they want to publish it. So it has studies from all around the world, including the US. The issues with the graph post is a lack of references and other contributing information. Not the fact it's in the BMJ.

They review stuff and decide whether to publish it, and having read it I can tell you that the vast majority of the studies they publish are not done in the US. Thus, I'm not going to countenance the idea that this is one of the rare exceptions without evidence.

Yeah, the male chromosome (Y) has testosterone in it which begins the mutation from female to male. It's not a lot. It's partially genetic how much there is. Another factor is the woman's health. But it only starts at the end of the first trimester.

I do not believe this is how pregnancy and birth works. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think testosterone is magically predetermined at birth. Since it can vary throughout your life and all.

The amount of testosterone in your body throughout your life is genetically inclined for the most part. Birth is sort of that starting place. If you think testosterone alone is all that is required, then a shot of steroids would give everyone a 20" cock.

By the map given it appears that there are definitely some differences depending on country, but the average only differs by a smallish amount. That assumes that all the data are from a decent source, and also doesn't really measure 'race' in a valid way, but is good enough I suppose.

Bear in mind that these are all average lengths, and there are probably outliers in all cultures with abnormally large dongs.
