I'm no fan of fake breasts but if a woman really wants to then who am I to say they shouldn't? I've tatted up by body already and altered my appearance for myself because it makes me happy. If this brings them joy then more power to them.

I will say though that like tats you should invest in high quality stuff. Good boob jobs can look very natural while cheap ones you got at some sketchy place look.. well fake.

I really have no problem with people getting cosmetic surgery to be more comfortable with their bodies. If you have the money and the desire, do as you please.

Though, having boobs myself, and having seen and drawn many boobs of all shapes and sizes as an artist, I do have to say it's usually pretty easy to spot breast implants. Maybe some of them are more natural now, but a lot of them tend to appear "overly perky" and round for C+ sized breasts. There's a certain point where the nipple is usually located and a certain shape to natural breasts at different sizes as a result of gravity (with other factors, such as childbearing) that is usually a bit off with fake boobs. They tend to overcompensate for gravity and sit a bit too high, as well 0:

But maybe there's just a lot of really good ones out there that I've mistaken for natural boobs, so who knows!

I personally don't have a problem with fake breasts, I can see why a lot of woman decide to have them. I don't think I would get them myself, I'm quite happy with mine. I wouldn't be unattracted to a woman who had fake breasts, and I wouldn't judge her for it either.

As long as it looks natural, go for it if you want to. A bad boob job is pretty unatractive in my mind, but there are plenty of good reasons to get one.

Not to say that I think all women should get...

you know what? im just going to stop digging my own hole.

A lot of the negativity surely stems from the fact that we still rather derisively refer to them as "fake".To a lot of people fake = bad.So yeah it's bad PR really. If everyone said "enhanced" instead of fake then I wonder if they would have such a bad rep seeing as "enhanced" doesn't really have negative connotations

Personally I have no problem with them.If a woman wants to get them done then knock yourself out

Everyone gets all judgy over fake boobs, I couldn't care less.
I mean, I've heard bad things about the surgery, and that the sensitivity kinda goes away (and one woman who lost her nipple from the surgery, ewww!).
But loads of things carry risk and who am I to judge.

I mean, you usually can tell fake from real, but if someone wants to do it, why should anyone give a damn?
Not necessarily, you normally only notice the bad boob jobs. If it's done well then you won't notice.

I'm all for them, provided the woman is getting them for the right reasons and not just to please someone else. Being honest, I'll probably get mine lifted when they go south and I know a girl who's saving to have here's reduced. It's not all about having the big DOA titties.

I doesn't hurt anybody and is completely consensual so I say go for it if that is what they want. Personally I don't really care if a girl has it one way or the other.

So you think the same about tattoos, I take it? Piercings? It's still surgery, after-all.

Surgery (from the Greek: χειρουργική cheirourgikē, via Latin: chirurgiae, meaning "hand work") is an ancient medical specialty that uses operative manual and instrumental techniques on a patient to investigate and/or treat a pathological condition such as disease or injury, or to help improve bodily function or appearance.
- Wikipedia
That's when things get weird.

Earrings aren't a problem for me. Nose, lip, and genital rings? Fuck off. It's actually making their face uglier at that point(the genital one hate for different reasons). If someone has one or two tattoos, I'm not too bothered. But a fuck ton of them all over the place is a turn off.
So you're not against it on principle then (body-modification), but simply what you find attractive?

I don't like them for the most part, but I don't see a problem with them. Some like them, some find them attractive, some feel more confident after surgery. Go wild I say it's their bodies.

The outward viewer looking in will typically have a negative view of whats inside.

If a women wants to have breast implants, it's her choice. Go look up a women called Beshine (At your own risk). As a twist on the ACDC song, she's got the biggest ***** of them all. Ya she's a freak, but it makes her happy.

And society is a big mean judgmental jerk. The only reason this is probably seen still in such a light is boobies are a sexual object, and "Westerners" (Conservative and evangelical types) are terrified of anything sexually sexual.

Maybe in time things will change as you have said tattoos are becoming acceptable to more and more people. But this will just be more, ya it's there fine type of deal.

I used to be very much against breast implants, but when a couple of my friends went in to get implants, my opinion was swayed a bit.

One friend in particular had thought for a good long time about getting implants. She did the research, saved the money, and finally went through with the procedure. Despite my personal opinion, I supported her and told her to do what makes her happy; never giving my opinion on the matter at all.

After all was said and done, I was forced to admit that fake boobs really aren't all that bad. My friend is very happy, and her confidence shot through the roof! Her side job of promotional modelling is taking off, and in the end, she is happy with her decision. She didn't get anything ridiculous, and the surgeon did good work from what I have seen. She's happy, her boyfriend is undoubtedly happy, and everyone else is happy for her. Most of us think she was fine the way she was, but at the end of the day, it wasn't our place to decide.

To make a long story short, my opinion on the matter has gone from, "Fake boobs?! That's a sin! Why would anyone ruin something so perfect!" to, "Huh... I suppose they aren't all that bad as long as they are done right," based on what I have seen first-hand.

I don't like em because I don't want people to think they need em, just feel comfortable about yourself and if anyone rejects you over looks they weren't worth it in the first place.

boob jobs represent something that's culturally vulgar to me, I'd give the same reaction to penis enlargement surgery or the like, it's shallow and shouldn't be enough priority to go under the knife for.

also, for the tattoo/piercing comparison, these are very minor changes and often mean more to the one wearing them than to be titulating to others.

My opinion is I like them. I think when done well they can be very aesthetically pleasing. Also, it is the choice of whoever has them and I will not judge them based solely on that decision.

An example of how they can look well shaped and tastefully proportioned is Bianca Beauchamp:

She also countered the problem people have with them in a succinct and understandable way:

" I think we have to try and understand, not judge. It?s funny how we never judge someone for improving their intellect. Don't the mind and body form a whole?"

I know that a lot of tattoos are to celebrate what people enjoy (i.e. star wars) or sometimes in rememberence of a family member. Sure, they can look nice, but I hardly call it vanity. Sure, you might get a pretty butterfly, but...so?

Personally rather date a flat chested girl than one with fake boobs.

Sure, the better ones are hard to tell just by looking, but it's much easier to tell when you're touching them.

Most of the time they look ugly to me but that doesn't mean there is anything inherently wrong with them.

If breast implants make the one getting them happy that's great, it's a bit of a problem when it's done to make others happy though.
