Fake video game "secrets"

CVG had an article when I was about 13ish that you could get lara croft naked - they had pics of a pc mod - but told us it was a cheat (i didnt know what a mod was then) you had to make lara sidestep and jump in time to the spice girls song "if you wanna be my lover".

I spent about 2 hours trying it.

Damn you CVG magazine - taking advantage of a youth like that.

p.s. my pc then had to be upgraded to 16MB ram to run the tomb raider. Had to run it from dos to get the sound.

That pressing B alot will let you catch the pokemon more easily when you throw the ball.

I still do that.

I have developed a habit of that!

A friend once told me that in order to get Pikablu in Pokemon R/B you had to raise six Pikachus to level 100, without using Rare Candies, and then talk to Oak. Needless to say, I was in the Dean of Discipline's office a week later.

You should add that to the wiki, haha. Here's a couple of interesting ones from LOZMM:

*If you let the moon fall on Termina at the end of the three-day cycle, the game would actually erase your save file, and you would have to start all over from the very beginning of the game with a new save file.

(This claim was made by N64 Magazine several times. Letting the moon fall sends the game into a brief cinema scene of Clock Town being destroyed and Link being thrown backwards by the resulting shockwave, after which the three-day cycle resets itself anyway. Any progress within the three-day cycle is lost, but the save file itself isn't deleted. No instance of a moon-fall resulting in the loss of a save file--either by built-in intention or by glitch--has ever been known to occur.)

*The game was originally slated to be called Zelda: Gaiden because it was created by entirely the same people that created the original Ninja Gaiden, but the name was changed at the last minute to avoid confusion.

(The game did have a working title of Zelda: Gaiden just as Zelda: OoT was originally called Zelda 64. However, it was not made by the people who made Ninja Gaiden. Zelda: Gaiden translates to something like Zelda: Side Story, which is what Majora's Mask is.)

I was told by a guy I knew way back in grade school that Donkey Kong Country's Mine Kart Madness level (I think that's the name) had this place right at the beginning where you could fall off and hold Left and a barrel would launch you almost to the end.

I didn't believe him for two reasons: first, I'd fallen off there before and instinctively held Left to try to stay on the platform, which didn't work, and second, I knew him to be a straightfaced liar when he thought there were lulz to be had.

I've fell for many over my time, but the best was easily the T-Rex cheat for Ocarina of Time, does anyone recall that? Supposedly you had to do some really long shit, like completing the game three times whilst killing epona on the third or something like that and there would be a T-Rex waiting for you in the Temple of Time. Some guy even posted photos of his TV screen with him riding it around.

Being 10 at the time I was totally convinced, but couldn't be fucked attempting it
