Fallout 3 - Hidden gems and random discoveries

I was in an office building once and found a locked door, after opening it i saw a few skeletons in what looked like a storage closet. On the ground next to one of the skeletons was a piece of paper that i picked up and read that the dead guy was locked in the storage room by the offices security bot because he didnt have a pass to go to the bathroom!

Damn, this is the first thing I've spotted on the thread that I can't remember where it is...

Maybe it was in the Red Racer factory?.

I know it was defenatly not in the Red Racer factory, I think it was is the office building where you find the chinese pistol that catches enimies on fire. although i dont rember where it is.

Aha... yes. That's L.O.B. enterprises in Falls CHurch. it's not marked on the map.

That pistol was a bit of let-down, wasn't it?

Yeah, I have the entire place filled with all the cool shit i've collected in that game and nothing has dissapeared on me so...

though I suggest that you move the dead protectron thats in the room over by the elevator doors as it tends to fly around and knock things off shelfs randomly...

I liked finding the plunger room of death.
Also, when you need to go to Galaxy News and follow the Steel guys...I only managed to find the Steel squad once. It was really cinematic, and I loved it. (STILL can't find them again)

Not too far from a train station, inhabited by raiders, I found a super mutant behemoth.

I found it quite ammusing to lead it into the raiders and watch it slaughter them.

Your avatar scares me... those guys are probably my second most hated enemies in gaming after Giant Radscorpions.

this conversation reminded me of the time I saw a strange, "stringy", "tweaking" object in the sky...which I soon realized was (or used to be) an (incredably streached out and deformed) raider lol

Not sure if it's been said but "Vault 106". Such a darkly written experience, the first time the colour changed I thought my screen was playing up but ... awesome to play through. If you haven't explored it, I recommend it: breathe deep in the blue. Relax ;P

I think this is the sole reason they included teddy bears in the game. I know it was the first thing I started collecting. I was a little ticked I couldn't collect those little voodoo dolls from Point Lookout. Such a waste. I was also a little annoyed that when I picked up the tiny gnomes from the gnome chess set, they got big when I dropped them. I think my house currently takes an extra 60 seconds to load now, due to all the crap I put in there.

Well im sure you know of the "Dupe glitch" by using the scrolls??
What you do is make an enchanted ring.. or find one.
Dupe the ring, so you have 2 identical copys.
Then wear one of the rings but leave the other in your inventory.
Dupe the ring (Again only by 2)
Now there should be 2 rings on the floor, however one is the ring from your inventory.. and one is the ring you were wearing, so neither are equiped..
However if you look at your enchantments, the rings effect is still there.

Repeat as much as you wish, with various rings.. as i did to create a nord with over 1000 "wisdom/intelligence??" which ever one gives mana.

OT: That cool robot on the toilet, when you drag him off scrap metal in the toilet bowl..
And the mini chess set with mini liquor bottles and gnomes.

I hate that glitch, it freaks me out so much... it happened me with an Enclave officer who was still alive shouting at me. I could target it in VATS and everything.

lol I remember i was testing out the use of the gas granades from point lookout and despite having killed everyone in the midship deck, security was still telling me to "keep an eye out for trouble makers"...scared the shit out of me to be honest...freakin ghosts...

yes it was quite a let-down, only did around what 15 dmg initaly and only -2 hp every 5 seconds i think

I remember finding a guy named "Drifter" and he had a badass sniper rifle that I wanted so I shot him with "Lincoln's Repeater" and he went flying.

Literally. He bounced everywhere in the church he was in and right out the door and I never saw him again. He was going so fast I couldn't see him

My favorite is that recording of the guy who says he can't live in the waste and walks into a cloud of radiation....and theres this skeleton of a couple sitting on a pier with a few beers, holding each other.

I love the place under the bridge where once you open the door you see a giant monolithic head. Then you head into a room andthere are toilet plungers heading up the wall and ceiling and a corpse at the bottom.

I just love that room. A good example of what I think would happen after the bombs fall.
