Fallout 3 - Hidden gems and random discoveries

Wow, good stuff! This game is filled with little "stories". I'll have to come back and finish reading them all.

Some things I noticed:

1) A skeleton sitting on the edge of a dock with a teddy bear clutched under the arm. Watching the end of the world? Or just felt so depressed that they wanted to die there?

2) The Keller Family transcript... The one about the woman watching the nukes go off is pretty disturbing and has good voice acting in it.

3) The woman that thinks her dad just abandoned her one day, and she has a lot of hatred towards him. You can eventually find a memo left for her, where he talks about how a deal went bad, he got shot, and now he's bleeding to death - he tells her he loves her, and he never meant for her to have to be left alone.

One other time I started a new game, went to the Supermarket, and there was a deathclaw fighting a random guy.

Well im sure you know of the "Dupe glitch" by using the scrolls??
What you do is make an enchanted ring.. or find one.
Dupe the ring, so you have 2 identical copys.
Then wear one of the rings but leave the other in your inventory.
Dupe the ring (Again only by 2)
Now there should be 2 rings on the floor, however one is the ring from your inventory.. and one is the ring you were wearing, so neither are equiped..
However if you look at your enchantments, the rings effect is still there.

Repeat as much as you wish, with various rings.. as i did to create a nord with over 1000 "wisdom/intelligence??" which ever one gives mana.

OT: That cool robot on the toilet, when you drag him off scrap metal in the toilet bowl..
And the mini chess set with mini liquor bottles and gnomes.

Aha... I never did the dupe glitch... that's naughty! hehe

I did the infinite money glitch once and ruined the game and had to start again.

The mini chess.... now I'm not certain but I think that was in the same Satellite tower as the boarded up giant teddy.... and some very angry raiders.

Ah, Sydney. One of my favorite characters in F3.

Her story is genuinely moving and it's nice to give her the closure she wants.

Plus she gives you one of the three most powerful guns in the game as a reward! What a cool lady.

I went to a police station (forgot the name)
I was saving Red from Big Town
I clicked on a Disipatchers P.C
It was showing a women calling about an inturder and how she hears him
At the end a man (i think the intruder) says that she is his wife and hangs up

That was Germantown Police HQ. Lots of cool little things to find in there.

Did you hear the hilarious conversation the two super mutants have as you sneak in?

There was that one cave where the raiders had clearly been molesting the kids. They had stripper poles all around the cave and the floors were littered with teddy bears and milk bottles.

Chilling.

I recall a sewer room in the DC area, inside is a room filled with Plungers, some Jet and phycho, A skellington, and Bloody hand prints EVERYWHERE, on the floor, walls, ceiling, everywhere, from what i can gather the crazy basterd was using the plungers to scale the walls like spider-man

Oh and of course the guy near the white house ranting about the end of the world over an intercom. he was the one with about a dozen land minds and 6 mini nukes rigged to blow at once if you got near him.

You just need to snipe him. Then all his mini-nukes and landmines can be collected.

I love the place under the bridge where once you open the door you see a giant monolithic head. Then you head into a room andthere are toilet plungers heading up the wall and ceiling and a corpse at the bottom.

I just love that room. A good example of what I think would happen after the bombs fall.

Isn't that somewhere near the Bethesda Ruins? Under an overpass?

OH! and I found that nifty little chinese pistol in the L.O.B. Enterprise building. IT SETS PEOPLE ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! unfortunately my excitement during this discovery was quickly dulled when I realized just how ineffective it was against anything tougher than a bloody mole rat....

You need to go to the National Guard Armory. It is at the very northeast most tip of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area, but is not actually inside the city. It on the border, only accessible from the outside.

Actually, thinking on it now, one of the most chilling things I saw in the entire game was also one of the most subtle.

When you finally get into the armory with the MIRV, sitting on one of the shelves was a revolver and five bullets.

If you paid attention to the story of that armory, you'd get why it's so chilling. If you just got the method online and busted in for the MIRV, you probably wouldn't care anyway.

Go to the National guard Depo

It's east of bethesda ruins, south of Canterbury Commons and North of Takoma Park, on the outskirts of the DC ruins.

If you have all the Keller tapes, they give you a password to the basement vault, which contains the MIRV along with many other goodies!

first time I fired it, I wasnt really sure what happened. See the gas furnace in that building has a leak and there are a few areas where any weapon fired causes a mass conflagration and I wasnt quite sure if that was the case with this gun. Once I figured out that it was the gun, not the room, I was like "OOOOOHHHHH HECK YEA! I HAVE BECOME AN EMBODIMENT OF VULCAN!!!!!!" Now I just feel like the kid in the back yard playing with black cats and M18`s............... although Im a big fan of explosives and ambushes of the sort and one shot with that pistol will set a car off with the huge boom, so I kept it. I know it doesnt justify itself when any other gun will do, BUT DANGIT IM DETERMINED TO MAKE THIS THING LOOK COOL AFTER ALL!

probably where theres a motorcycle at the top of a cliff and a note from i think it was patrick saying he had become depressed after anchorage with his will on it and at the bottom of the cliff was a skeleton propped against a tree looking out wards so this guy jumped survived crawled to a tree then saw the bombs falling
