Definitely the fake door entry at some Sat array. It's the developer's way of slapping you into the face :D
Also, the the dwarf with the toilet is pretty funny too in Point Lookout's bank locker.

This is one of the things i hope Obsidian Bethesda gets right for Fallout: NV The Elder Scrolls V. The little things and stories you find randomly make the world seem more alive, some are even funny.
Well, both games really. TES4 was lacking...

A lot of the strange things I've seen in the capital wasteland other people have mentioned already. Did anyone else find the irradiated pond behind the Tacoma Industrial park building where a group of scientists were doing tests on ghouls but got made into lunch? It's possible to walk and jump right out of the game world from that area without any mods.
I just know TES V is going to be amazing. The things they learned from Fallout will surely carry over. And the lessons from TES IV which was not great (not bad) will hopefully put them on the right track to make a great TES V.

I finally found that car with the couple on it... it was south of Evergreen Mills by a the radio transmitter for the undergound bunker full of traps and explosives.

Hmmmmmm... The copulating skeletons in Minefield randomly blew me away. It was about there, seeing how the bombs had truly caught everyone off guard, that I finally sank into the immersion without a sound or complaint.

one time i used a gauss rife in VATs to shoot someone i the head and it missed and hit a truck which blew up and kill three raiders

I saw a alien ship crash early in the game didn't know the firelance was there then complete the game went back there and found it.

Dogmeat is very handy for finding the Firelance. I've never found it without his help.

I was attacked by a lone sniper, it wasnt a raider, or a merc or anything. Its the only one I have ever run into but he was held up in a ruined church and when I finally killed him, he dropped "The Reservist Rifle" more damage than a regular sniper rifle, but a 3 round clip. It had a further focusing scope and was more accurate than its normal counterpart. I have never found another one of those sniper guys, nor another Reservist Rifle. and I accidentally used it to repair another sniper rifle instead of using the regular sniper to repair it.... I was sooooo sad.....

Oh and of course the guy near the white house ranting about the end of the world over an intercom. he was the one with about a dozen land minds and 6 mini nukes rigged to blow at once if you got near him.

Be sadder, that's no scripted event, there's only one of him per game, he's always in that building.

You can always get the Victory rifle though. More power and a 5 round clip

There's another really nice Sniper rifle you can get called Victory, it's in a shack overlooking Rockbreaker's Last Gas.

You will need 100 lockpick to get it from the locker, or you can get Dogmeat to bring it to you.

Ruzka the Russian circus bear, in Point Lookout. Also, the T. Rex skeleton underwater placed suggestively close to a human skeleton with a shotgun. Plus there's the scavenger hunt Canterbury search party mini-quest. Random encounter where the Enclave attempts to surrender to some Outcasts, with hilarious results. There was also a certain point where the Outcasts AND Raiders ambushed me in an arroyo with a tree in the center. They weren't trying to kill each other, just me.

I call bullshit on the dude above me-the Vault doesn't mention that one.

The hotel room at point look out with the Pint Sized Slasher Mask and dismembered skeletons.

Also, opening a Pulowski shelter and seeing a skeleton among empty cans and bottles holding a pistol with a blood spatter near its head.

Haha neither did I, and I would have played it for close to that amount of time.
I saw my friend get it on the second day he had the game. Up near the top left of the map, close to the enclave base it happened.
DId he have game of the year edition? Maybe it was added in with Broken Steel or something.

Even though i played through this game all the way, without the DLC unfortunatley, i never found anything awesome like this stuff...

*sad face*

The only thing that i found close to being awesome and not an actual place was just a super mutant camp...

Just wander out into the wasteland, you're bound to find something. Head for groups of buildings, or high ridges to get a better view.

There are literally thousands of little secrets all over the place!
