Its visceral for a RPG..With headshots actually being headshots.L1250 post=9.73763.808819 said:Okay, I understand that the series seems to have an excellent story and atmosphere, but is there anything that stands out about the gameplay itself?
Could you please be a bit more specific?Bulletinmybrain post=9.73763.808828 said:Its visceral for a RPG..With headshots actually being headshots.L1250 post=9.73763.808819 said:Okay, I understand that the series seems to have an excellent story and atmosphere, but is there anything that stands out about the gameplay itself?
The combat is more actiony..For example you can one hit enemys with VATS if you invest in combat. (Okay so its more, You can choose to play it sorta like a FPS.)L1250 post=9.73763.808842 said:Could you please be a bit more specific?Bulletinmybrain post=9.73763.808828 said:Its visceral for a RPG..With headshots actually being headshots.L1250 post=9.73763.808819 said:Okay, I understand that the series seems to have an excellent story and atmosphere, but is there anything that stands out about the gameplay itself?
So the game is basically an RPG with the combat of a shooter?Bulletinmybrain post=9.73763.808852 said:The combat is more actiony..For example you can one hit enemys with VATS if you invest in combat. After an incident with Australia's game review board nazi... thing, they modified ALL versions of the game. So, it will be slightly modified from the original production(they exchanged Morphine with a made up drug), but it won't be any different from what anyone else gets.perfectimo post=9.73763.808876 said:I live in Australia so I hope it's still good and not too modified. Here's hoping.
Dude, you can dismember people with a gun that fires teddy bears!TsunamiWombat post=9.73763.808901 said:Oh no! I can't kill EVERYTHING! They've put STRUCTURE in my game! How will I exercise my homocidal tendencies!?
...Seriously people, you can kill -enough-. Theres nothing wrong with not being able to kill EVERYTHING.

Nor is there anything wrong with wanting the same level of freedom in a sequel that was present in the earlier games in the series.TsunamiWombat post=9.73763.808901 said:Theres nothing wrong with not being able to kill EVERYTHING.
It's a gun that you can just dump random debris into for ammo. So yes, if you find a teddy bear, you can throw it in and shoot it at someone to kill them.Danzorz post=9.73763.809255 said:You serious? Teddy bear amputation gun?
Really!??!?!
You know, I think the fact that you can fire mother-fucking-teddy-bears at enemies and dismember and kill them somehow voids that problem. Just one step away from a weapon that fires weapons.L1250 post=9.73763.809023 said:Nor is there anything wrong with wanting the same level of freedom in a sequel that was present in the earlier games in the series.TsunamiWombat post=9.73763.808901 said:Theres nothing wrong with not being able to kill EVERYTHING.

There IS structure in Fallout. You just have the freedom to break it. You still get a special ending for it too.TsunamiWombat post=9.73763.808901 said:Oh no! I can't kill EVERYTHING! They've put STRUCTURE in my game! How will I exercise my homocidal tendencies!?

And people always ask "why do you not have faith in Bethesda?"TOGSolid post=9.73763.809654 said:I just gave Frank a shitload of beer and the laughed when he couldn't hit me from 5 feet away.ElArabDeMagnifico post=9.73763.809410 said:(I remember not having to even TOUCH the last boss in Fallout 2 becuase I switched the guns and had enclave NPCs helping)
I highly doubt Bethesda would even let me pull something like that off this time.
Your supposed to be able to recruit some NPC's to help supposedly. Which its probably going to end up being like that mercenary from Tribunal expansion of morrowind.(I decked the guy out in Daedric armor or whatever and he raped when he didn't hit me every to seconds with his big ass penis extending two-hander.)pieeater911 post=9.73763.809678 said:I'm so excited for this game!
I've had my special edition pre-ordered since July.
One problem, though.
Bethesda has been very tight-lipped about Allied NPCs. I haven't heard anything about recruiting people to help you, except seeing a paragraph about getting Dogmeat on your team in the Official Xbox Magazine.
Anybody heard any more details on the subject?
A two handed sword that fits on your penis? God damn, I missed that weapon drop.Bulletinmybrain post=9.73763.809751 said:Your supposed to be able to recruit some NPC's to help supposedly. Pretty much. And people wonder why the older gamers pine for the good ole days so much. Why? Because Fallout 1 and 2 spoiled me.
