Lol the time I was randomly running around, saw a group of Raiders so I was going to sneak up and snipe them from the safe spot of behind a bus and out of nowhere this girl come up and is like There's a bomb in my chest!!! Disarm it! Then she runs off I go up to her try to disarm and fail (Don't think there is a way to disarm it) So I ran a few feet back and KABLAM! She died. XD It was so fucking random.
I got the same thing and failed with 100% explosives...quite aggravating for my wasteland paladin.

Course my current character would trip her just to laugh first....

Fallout 3 is both dark and hilarious quite regularly, often at the same time. Darkly hilarious, even.

There are quite a few memorable encounters in the game. Tranquility Lane, Andale and Oasis all spring to mind, amongst others. I haven't played any of the DLC yet (though I intend to get it all with the Game of The Year edition fairly shortly). I can't help but feel that the game would have been better if it had used something closer to the Dragon Age: Origins morality system, rather than the mostly black and white good/bad karma system, though.

Yay there's another door here! *Opens the door* "FUCK YOU!"

..*cries*

I also found Moira hilarious, but I don't have any good examples.

Disturbing things.. hmm.. I found Andale pretty weird too..
That was a great door. :D

It's really not that hard to shift your karma though. Once you have your House in Megaton, every couple of days or so Wadsworth will give you 5 purified waters. I just stored them in my fridge until I had a bunch. Once I needed to get my karma all the way to good, I just grab all of them and give em all to the thirsty dude outside of the city. Boom. Good karma.

As for the most disturbing thing in fallout, I'd have to say in Landmine, when you go into houses and see all the remains of people, yet the radio is still on. And in one house, you go up stairs and there are two skeletons lying on the queen-sized bed with a bunch of Jet and Buffout on their night stands, hinting that they committed suicide together to avoid the nuclear holocaust. Something about it is just so dark, yet subtle, that it gives me the creeps.

Springvale School, with all the children's skeletons locked in that cage.

The Dunwich building for weirdness, and those holotapes about Jaime turning into a ghoul.

SPOILERS:
The village of Andale seems nice enough, Three houses (two families and an old man). But as its fallout 3 nothing is really what it seems, after some quick snooping i was shocked to discover that the families were cannibals, in true fallout style they were unrepentent for their ways and i was forced to kill them.

Don't forget how the brothers married their cousins, and expected their children to do the same

FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY
YOU LOOK NOW OR I CUT YOU
lol
[spoiler/]I had done a second fallout 3 game. I was trying to be the nicest person on the cursed planet. Now, I had alreasy explored the world like 53,594 times, so I desided to finish the game once and for all. I was in the big final radoactive purifier chamber. I was having my sweet time, but I ran and typed in the code. I fell over, and I felt very happy. But then, BOOM! I got the bad ending because I waited to long and the purifier exploded. It was funny.[/spoiler]

And don't even get me started on the twist of "The Pitt", which I consider the best done moral choice of any game I've played.
I loved that part, it's the one time that I actually had to think "Hmm... what should I do?"

Andale was also creepy, and even creepier when you find out that they were all inbred.
((I would just like to note: I love your avatar. Golden Sun FTW.))

I would just have to say watching that one guy gun down the sheriff in Megaton. I was like "Son of a Bi*GUNFIRE DROWNS ALL NOISE*

And where is this Fuck you door?Im a noob at that game...

But yeahh i was also confused by the lamboda logo on the front of the vault door, i kind of expected the combine to appear
CONTINUE ONGOING SECTOR SWEEP. BIOTICS CONFIRMED.

Having combine in a free-roaming game would be freakin' ace.

The vault where you wind up inhaling some really trippy drugs... As soon as I walked through a doorway, the screen turned a purple tint, and there was a line of 5 Amatas walking towards me... I was scared, and decided to shoot one of them, and the hallucination stopped. Then I recieved negative Karma...

I didn't progress any further until I had the Enclave Commander mod.

X amount of gary + Y amount of bullets = Many spare uniforms to sell off.

I loved that vault. Also, the teddybear in the trolleycage was rather strange, when you pick it up a behemoth comes over the hill to attack you.
