Don't really care, it's not like what I look for in a game is the ladder=based action.

This is all very nice but where the fuck is TES 5!?!?!?

Unless this means that ladders will play a major part in the next elder scrolls game.

Not having ladders doesn't bother me but the game engine has so many other issues. That thing's fucking terrible, Bethesda need a new one.

never really noticed the missing ladder, frankly its much easier to shoot comming up stairs so I really don't mind.

never noticed, aslong as i can go up im not worried, i hope they dont change to another which stops NPC's ejecting there morality core so they flood the game world with a 'deadly' neurotoxin.

There are ladders in both games, but in pure gameplay terms they act just like doors to another area. In this type of there's no need for ladder based combat, so making them go-to points saves on bundling in ladder climbing animation.

Is it just me, or would ladders just feel weird in FO3/TES: O?

Let's hope they make a new engine for their next big game!

Didn't notice the lack of ladders, save for the static ladders in Oblivion and the occasional ladder that led to another cell.

Either way, this is why Bethesda needs a new damn engine. Here's hoping they use idtech5 for their next game.
Maybe they'll use the Doom 4 engine? Apparently that's staying within Zenimax.

The only problem I will ever have with games like FO3 is the lack of being able to grab onto ledges. That is just nitpicking on my part though.

I didn't notice any ladders in Oblivion or Fallout 3, nor did I really care. I did notice a lack of children in Oblivion, which kinda creeped me out. At least there were children in Fallout 3.
