I'm a huge Fallout fan, and though I respected the direction they attempted to go in Fallout 3, I felt it could have been better. Now that some of the old members of the Fallout 1 and 2 teams are back on the project, do you think the game will do better than it's predecessor (Being Fallout 3, as 1 and 2 are not even the same animal) or fall flat?

given the fact its being handled by obsidian and the fact that Bethesda didn't care enough to do it themselves, im guessing the game has a 1/10 chance of being worth buying

New Vegas looks good. It's practically Fallout 3 without my problems with it. New weapons, colours. Granted, it's Obsidian and it may be filled with more bugs than in a forest, but that doesn't really to me. Bugs and glitches can be fixed.

Not in any sort of time though apparently - there's still no patch for Alpha Protocol.

OT: It's Obsidian; expect anything more then "meh" and you're getting your hopes up. Look at the game running, it looks like a poorly handled mod.

New Vegas looks pretty amazing so far. but I think I'll wait for the inevitable game of the year edition with all the expansions before I buy it like I did with fallout 3.

Are there any new trailiers, infos or something about the game that I havent seen? If not, I would really appreciate if people would stop making the same topic over and over again. The guys from the original fallout being on the team may be a good thing, but in the end it means nothing.

Ngeh... I'm excited for the new premise, and the hardcore difficulty option, and the fact that they tightened up the shooting controls so that you don't have to use VATS all the damn time...

But from what I've seen, I'm still not fully convinced. I'll need to see a buttload of good reviews, and word of mouth before I commit to it.

they are using a 4 year old engine and its still in beta. what do you expect? fallout 3 looked terrible with all the low res textures, the level design showing holes into an endless abyss of nothing, floating items and furniture, bugs, glitches, and crashes. if you take away the green tint the textures are basically one bright color. install fellout and take a walk around george town if you want to see what i mean.
Please write properly. And yes, I am aware of these things and I stand by what I've said.

Avellone eriting means it'll be better than 3 at any rate.

I don't hope for it to compare with 1/2 but it could be to 3 what Morrowind is to Oblivion.

I'm optimistic. I liked Fallout 3 well enough, and New Vegas looks to be, if nothing else, more of the same. I'll buy it. Play it a few times.

I don't think it has to be that innovative because we've only had one of these new Fallouts.

This. It's more Fallout 3. I like Fallout 3. More of what I like is good.

Cautious Optimism. It looks... alright so far, it's just not what I fell in love with in FO3. As long as there's enough post-apoc than crazy, I'll be happy. The things I've seen so far, though, have been the reverse.

It's being made by Obsidian, so my hopes aren't exactly high. They have a long history of leaving games half-finished or just generally screwing them up. I pray that I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling about it.
