I like New Vegas allot. But i find it quite funny and ironic that Bethesda is making a Patch for Obsidian's game.
Most people will agree that Bethesda puts a massive amount of effort into it's games. But it's funny to me that they're doing it for someone else. I guess it reflects on them in the end and this will just help profit them. But it makes me laugh anyway.
How do you feel about this patch? I personally welcome it. Anything to get rid of Obsidians' endless bugs.[/this. people
Actually, it makes perfect sense when you consider that Obsidian was just the company that won the outsourcing of the Fallout IP for a stand-alone game using the Fallout3 engine. Obsidian wins because they don't have to employ an entire QA/Troubleshooting division (Like ZeniMax/Bethesda does) and Bethesda wins because as the producers they get a large share of the profits and only have to provide as much support as they feel. It also makes sense since Bethesda is the company that built the Fallout 3-version of the Gamebryo engine and has already done patching and DLC-additions to it. Their troubleshooting and bug-fixing staff has plenty of experience doing it, whereas Obsidian's would have none.
this. i have never seen more trolling in my life, it seems people are just purposely trying to find things to absolutely hate obsidian for. Bethesda SHOULD be the one doing patches, its only going to increase the hell out of their profits, and like you said, they have the most experience with it.
new vegas is a damn good game, much much much better than fallout 3 in every way, imo, and i have yet to encounter any game breaking bugs, the only one i have found in nearly 8-9 hours of play is a fire ant stuck in the ant hill, otherwise it was hilarious
