EDIT: All done now, thanks everyone, pre ordered my PC version!

I'm drawn between which platform to purchase New Vegas for.

My reasons for PC:
Less expensive, can make mods, could do with another PC game other than S.T.A.L.K.E.Rs, bigger monitor than TV, prefer mouse keyboard to controller.

Against:
I Don't really like steam, it'll take ages to download, although I can make mods, I never mod anything. Not full HD monitor.

My reasons for PS3:
Trophies, (I don't have any Steam friends, I'm a loner, feels bad.), My other friends will be getting it for PS3, I'll get it a day early, I have a full HD TV

I'm as undecided as the above text is confusing.

I'm almost at the part where I flip a coin, but before I do, would someone like to tell me what they think would be best for me? Or if you have information that could help make my choice that would be greatly appreciated.

... You don't have to download from a real store.

You could try that instead of steam.

How old is your monitor? Anything made in the last 5 years probably has better resolution than an HD tv!
Well shit... You're right. First time I've ever actually had a proper look at it's specs.

You can use a controller for Pc games. Hell I have a PS3 controller set up for Team fortress for my brother, which isn't officially supported at all.
I mean, you even said mods in the previous sentence...

I have a legitimate reason not to get it for Pc:
My computer is absolutely awful.

PC, without a doubt.
As for resolution, An HDTV have 720p, that means 720 pixels height.
1204x768 is sligthly higher and have been standard since the 98.
HDTV is bragging about a resolution that have been standard in the PC market for twelve frickin years!

A full HD Tv have a resolution of 1080p, where a current LCD of reasonable price have 1200.

And on top of that you have mods.
There should not be any doubt what so ever.

PC definatly, If you don't like the Layout of the Mouse/keyboard just plug in a 3rd party controller like the Xbox 360 one or a logitech and play it like you would on a console.

The reason I preferred Fallout 3 on the PC was (i played GOTY on PS3 too) was that I could use mods and also open up the in-game console command and set certain NPCS to invulnerable (ie companions) also when quests bugged out i could use the console to open doors that need to be opened by a quest, but the quest was broken
