Yep.... More than Black Ops, Medal of Honour, Assassins Creed Brotherhood and every other new release this year put together.

Nope, Obsidian has yet to make a game that is beyond "playable" and I don't think this will change anything. I wish Bethesda was working on it, then I would be happy/stoked.

Can't wait. Well, actually, with SC2 coming, yeah I guess I can wait... but impatiently.

Stoked!

I'm really disappointed about the closed ending, but I asked one of the devs, and he had pretty good reasons for it. So I guess I won't boycott it. However, considering the release date, I think I may just hunker down and continue my schoolwork until some Broken Steel DLC comes out.

not interested. as big a fallout fan that i am, nothing about New Vegas impresses me. it looks like it should simply have been made into a DLC.

right now, im waiting for Interplay's Project V13. Ive lost my faith with fallout games from Bethesda.

I'm new to the series and the game intrigues me, but being a poor gamer, I'll have to wait for the price drop after christmas. nothing against obsidion/bethesda, but I need the price drop.

I'm trying not to get hyped. Since its Obsidian developing on a Bethesda engine the amount of bugs will be insane.

But since its being developed by Obsidian, that will mean it will be pure RPG goodness wrapped in awesome. Plus with the recent fan interviews and whatnot, the fact that they're including mod tools and whatnot... aw man...

Must. Not. Get. Excited.
It too late! You are so excited, even your avatar has caught on fire! *sprays with hose* That's better.

OT: Am I excited? Hmmmm. I guess so. I mean, yeah, maybe.

Let's just say, normally, I enjoy the long summers. Vacations, tomatoes, sandals...

But this summer is too. damned. long.

I watched some gameplay videos from E3 today... now I wish I hadn't. October is gonna be a long time coming!

And you didn't include the link? Shame on you!

Now I'll have to seek it out myself, and then regret watching it.

Also, side note, I just got Deathspank on XBL. It's two player co-op, funny and hack n slashy. I was thinking you should add it to the list of things you might enjoy playing with your little brother.

It has a joke about a codpiece fairly early on. You must get it.

Yes and no.

On one hand, it's by the original Fallout creators and Fallout 3 was awesome - this looks similar.

On the other, it's made by Obsidian. Yeeeeah, they don't exactly have the best track record. To be honest, it should be in Bethesda's hands. I know they created Fallout 1 and 2, but this is a new engine and style for Obsidian, Bethesda made Fallout 3 pretty damn awesome.

Oooh sounds interesting... will look it up.

I can't remember that Youtube link but there are like 5 different E3 videos of the demo, just type Fallout New Vegas E3 into the search!

DAT HARDCORE MODE

*ahem*

I mean, my excitement for this game is truly astounding. Nay, this discomposure that this collection of ones and zeros instills within mine loins easily reaches levels that not even professional numeric contemplators could comprehend! I eagerly await with every passing day the arrival of this product from the fine establishment known as Obsidian.

Pip pip, cheerio good sir.

(In short: Fallout 3 was fucking terrible and I can't wait to see if Obsidian fixed it)

Having read in GameInformer about how they've made the shooting aspect much better, I'm completely stoked for it.

Kinda. The fallout 3 gameplay mechanics are a bit dull, but if they put as much effort into the roleplay component as they did Alpha Protocol it will still have some redeeming features.
