I love massive RPGs, so long as it's not just Easter eggs ("oh look a billboard for New Coke" kind of thing), a few of them is fine, but it's gotta have some interesting stuff that adds to the game tucked away in the nooks and crannies, I don't know about others but when I play an RPG I strenuously avoid walkthroughs, sure sometimes I might grab a guide for a particular mission (freaking annoying prat of a quest to find all the gargoyles in Fable 2, gave up and printed out a list after 30mins of trying to find one that I knew was around, turns out had to stand on a crate and look in one damn direction to find it), but overall I love exploring and finding stuff, it's very rewarding.

Aside from the disappointment of an amnesia based story line, I'm incredibly excited... Which will probably bite me in the ass, later.
well being shot in the head twice normally does limit a lot of story options if you ask me I mean you cant set out on an epic quest if you've been shot in the head twice and been covered by sand and then being dug out very slowly by a robot. so overall I think getting amnesia from all that is really not surprising so under that setting its really easy to go with that tyope of story i just hope its good.

Obsidian have this habit of making unbelievable sequels, so I can't wait for this.

Please give us a large enough level cap to get every skill upgraded. Also, I think they should try and make the combat a bit better. With the absence of V.A.T.S we can't watch heads fly off in glorious slow motion. Not that the absence of V.A.T.S is necessarily bad or good... Soooo, on topic. Sounds really really awesome. I haven't been keeping an eye on this game as much as I should have. I shall do now.

You said the magic words. "Fallout: New Vegas is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment"
Anything not fucked up by Bethesda sounds like a improvement to me. I can not wait to see what a hopefully decent company can do with the franchise.
Well, Obsidian botched NWN2... In my opinion, anyway. Just wasn't as engaging as the first was.

Honestly? I like what Bethesda did with FO3. Could have done with some work (okay, lots of work) but it was still a good game.

This is making me at least a little excited for this game.

2010 has been a pretty good year for games thus far, perhaps this will also not disappoint?

That said, give me a post-apocalyptic setting and some guns and I will probably be happy anyway.

If this game is bad I'll be a very sad panda. But it looks really good so far.
And aren't we being a little tease of late, Obsidian?

Not if Mr Quicktravel has something to say about it.

Also if most of Vegas is a desert, isnt it going to be very boring?

Well, the story has improved, now to the gameplay, that was pure shit in Fo3, a big world means nothing if it's empty, brown and booring...

Btw Fo3 didn't feel like a Fallout game to me, cause they focused on the brotherhood, the enclave ant technology, it felt more like a regular futuristic shooter, but with crappy weapons. FU BETHESDA FOR RUINING FALLOUT!!!

That would be funny if the item you were shot for was the sexy sleep wear. Nut then again it has no connections to Fallout 3
