Seriously, the game crashes every other time I quick travel or try to load a new environment. The quicksave works about half the time & it just gets beyond a joke trying to get some immersion when you are forced to restart the game every 5 minutes because you didn't un-equip a quest item before you opened a door.

I really wish I hadn't bought this DLC, I had minor problems with New Vegas but nothing like this, I won't be buying anything else from these guys ever again.

/end rant!

Your thought experiences? With Fallout NV & any DLC?

Absolutely no problems what so ever. In fact I haven't had any issues with any Bethesda or Obsidian games

It's a game developed by Obsidian (masters of making broken glitchy games) made on Bethesda's game engine (masters of making glitchy broken game engines). What exactly did you expect?

Didn't have this problem nor many other issues, aside from some CTD's every once in awhile. Like the person above said, it's a Bethesda/Obsidian game, it's going to be really fucking glitchy. I like Obsidian quite a bit but they need a fucking QA Department.

Didn't the CEO of Obsidian specifically say that their main goal for all subsequent releases was stability and lack of bugs? I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that he said that after apologizing for New Vegas's bugs. But you're right... Obsidian.... seriously guys...

Then you have not played many Obsidian games sir. Just try running Kotor 2 on windows 7... (I used the fucking kotor 1 .dll like everyone said AND IT STILL WON"T PLAY FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF). Or NWN2 with a dual core. God dammit I love Obsidian games but they're SO FUCKING BUGGY and not futureproofed at all.

I think the game frozen twice on me. All on quick travels. The original would crash all the time on me. And for some reason freeside was always a crap shoot for loading.

About running games from pre-2000, you can have a virtual machine run XP or an earlier version of a OS. You can also have in the settings the due-core disabled and allow only one ore to function.
I played Fallout 1&2 that way .

Ya know, I've actually never, NEVER had a problem with this-or any other Fallout/Oblivion-game whatsoever. I guess I'm just lucky that way.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas constantly crashed when I was playing them and I recall some kind of graphics error with New Vegas when I first got it.

Luckily, fan made patches exist and are really useful.

I don't know where the fuck you people get these glitches. I rarely encounter glitches, and when I do, they're small and easily circumvented.

I suffered from a similar spat of bugginess with Fallout 3, after purchasing the DLC, and subsequently gave up, as I agree that it removes your immersion in the game. However, after playing the Game of the Year Edition of Fallout 3, which performed to a more acceptable rate, I have concluded that its not worth buying the DLC of Bethesda/Obsidian unless it is released in a GOTY edition

Edit: I found this also with Oblivion.

I've had no problems with the Old World Blues DLC. The only glitch I've encountered with NV is that the quest Return To Sender won't finish and give me the achievement, all objectives complete but it won't disappear.

You're the first person I've heard of having problems with Old World Blues. Sorry. It worked perfectly for me though. Not even a minor issue came up.

I haven't hit a single bug with any of the DLC. Oddly, I've only ever had one crash in the vanilla game. Guess I'm just lucky...

EDIT: played the pc version, btw

This. I had some minor problems when I first started playing New Vegas, but by the time I got Dead Money loaded up, they stopped and I haven't had a problem since.

Strange, I've never encountered glitches in my Obsidian games. Nothing for KOTOR2, except the cut content, but that's different.

New Vegas also runs fine without bugs.

Yeah, I had a few dents and bumps and laaaaaaaaaaaaagggggg along the way...I dont blame Bethesda because I havent had issues with them I will however blame the shit out of Obsidian.

Still enjoyed it far far more then I did Dead Money and on par w/ Honest Hearts

Guess i made a great move bye not buying the DLC until the end of this month, the other DLCs where buggy as hell when they first came out too. Predictions can go a long way, as long as you are a psychic like me, except i'm not a psychic.
