Two reasons why these things don't bother me.

I seem to get lucky.

I'm pretty easy going.

I was just playing Dead Money and it crashed twice while switching between areas. I was pretty cool about it, just restarted. Save often.

Obsidian programmed the damn thing. I checked GameFAQs and I can't see a single game not ridden with horribly stupid bugs and glitches. They CAN'T program worth a damn. Bethesda game studios is getting bad press right now because Bethesda (producer branch) shares their name. Sure, Fallout 3 and Oblivion had bugs (and a lot of them, some of which were inexcusable) but it seems to me Bethesda TRIES to fix as many as they can.

New Vegas has been patched extensively since it's release. Fallout 3 and Oblivion are still infested with bugs, it's just part of the terrible engine.

point taken, but Obsidean's programming team needs to be renovated so that they can actually TEST the thing they are selling. They are bugs from engines and then there are things you catch because you tried playing the game ONCE.

I never encountered a single error in OWB except for that one looping dialogue thing at the end. And I don't mean "no serious errors" like I'd normally mean when talking about New Vegas, I mean literally NO ERRORS AT ALL. Between that, the rewarding exploration, and the sharp writing it's pretty much the best of the DLC by far and arguably one of the best parts of the game as a whole.

A Fallout New Vegas dlc is buggy? Really? Who would have guessed? (this guy)
And one made by Obsidian? WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO!!!

OT: I've only had, like, 4 crashes in NV total. And that's between two 30 hour games. Not bad.

Then you have not played many Obsidian games sir. Just try running Kotor 2 on windows 7... (I used the fucking kotor 1 .dll like everyone said AND IT STILL WON"T PLAY FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF). Or NWN2 with a dual core. God dammit I love Obsidian games but they're SO FUCKING BUGGY and not futureproofed at all.
I know it's a bit off-topic, but what's so bad about running NWN2 on dualcore?
I only ever played it on a dualcore PC and had absolutely no problems with it. The only game I know which apparently is confused by the sight of too many processors is Beyond Good & Evil (unsynchronised cutscenes)

Buddy, try installing a CD copy of BG&E to a 64-bit OS. It'll work fine until the copy protection throws up in your face.

Strange, I've never encountered glitches in my Obsidian games. Nothing for KOTOR2, except the cut content, but that's different.

New Vegas also runs fine without bugs.

YOU!

HAVE NEVER PLAYED ALPHA PROTOCOL, have you?

Upside-down shotgun.

all I need to say about that game.
My character's hair was see through at some points in that game. And there was something about the graphics, that seemed... off.

Really liked it despite it's bugs, pretty much sums up my opinion of Obsidian in general.

In Fallout NV I had framerate drops, crashes(very often), freezing(also very often), long load times, glitches, and some graphical glitches. I wish I had never wasted my money on this game. I ended up so frustrated with it I traded it in for store credit which I then used on a game with better quality control.

while running 15 different HUGE modds for new vegas, and just went through all the dlc just fine...

so nope, no problems, and no problems before that, hell i have willow as my added companion who stays with you at all times and i still didn't have any problems.

i would suggest looking at your hardware..maybe there is something very different in there from most hardware, as most people i know haven't had many problems at all, if at all it was a small graphical glitch and nothing more.

It was horribly buggy, as NV has been for me in general. At least that's true on PC. I haven't played through it on 360 (haven't had spare money to buy something I own for another system), but the main game was much more stable, and I'd be surprised if that didn't hold true for DLC. Going by what I did play of the PC though, it was awful. Half the time I couldn't fast travel, it would choose to crash just for fun (though that seems to be the standard for that game) and it was just generally a buggy mess.

But it's a buggy mess that I loved.

Aaah, yes. With BG&E I switched directly from 32-bit with CD to 64-bit with Steam, but I remember having to use a No-CD-Patch to play Scrapland because the copy protection was incompatible with my computer.
