Heard some more people got attacked last night.
Shouldn't you be banging rocks together?
Why don't you go bother the Brotherhood or something?
Why is it we always hurt the ones we care about?
You eyeballin' me?

I bought Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 from GoG last year and I just havn't found the motivation to play them.
You're not the only one. When you're used to playing Fallout from first person, with proper voice acted dialog (I supposed this can be argued), with First Person-shooting, playing the old ones are just really weird. I played Fallout 1, and I got to like.. the first town or something, and then I just lost any desire to keep playing. Haven't started it again since.

I consider Fallout New Vegas to be the best in the series. The fact that it made this video possible was a major contributing factor to that ideal.

That wouldnt put me off - I'm a big fan of the best RPG ever made. I refer to Baldurs Gate 2 of course.

You'll also meet the bloke that made mentants.
You could also test you agility when you both try to lockpick a chest. He manages to lockpick a chest with his pincers.

A Fallout topic about anything Fallout, eh? Nice.

So...in whichever Fallout game, old or new, what was your favorite fight and/or kill?

This here [http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/04/story-fallout-equestria.html#more] is a Fallout/My Little Pony crossover, and it's damn good.
I couldn't help read the intro in Ron Perlman's voice.

Oh, and fucking Cazadores. I think I've already said enough.

Well I have played well over 100 hours of Fallout 3 and I am still glued to my TV playing every chance I get. The attention to detail is amazing and I love how you get to see creatures and people fighting each other rather than you having to be involved in every fight. The music played on GNR is really catchy and somehow Three Dog doesn't get annoying no matter how many times he repeatts himself. Easily my favourite game ever. Also, Dogmeat is badass. He took on 3 deathclaws at once and got barely hurt.

Bethesda??
Bear with me :L

Like I said, I haven't played the originals yet. So although I thank Interplay for the creation of the original IP (and, to a certain extent, Black Isle for the sequel), I can only thank Bethesda for the ones I've actually sampled :p
Well, Obsidian did New Vegas. Not Betheseda.
True, and I know, but it runs on the same engine and I'm fairly certain it wouldn't exist - definitely not in the same way it does now - if Bethesda hadn't made Fallout 3.

Anyway, my point is that I'm grateful to Bethesda for reviving the franchise (and how!) so I could be aware of how amazing Fallout is :p

I shot a Lakelurk in New Vegas with my modded .44 Magnum (I call her Maggie) and its body crumpled to one side in an eerily dramatic way. There was nothing dramatic about the head though, it spiralled away like a gory Team Rocket hundreds of feet into the air, and I couldn't even find it afterwards.

(In New Vegas) I was both surprised and pleased to find that the citizens of verious towns had customised 'I am an NPC, please notice me' speech based on who was your companion at the time. I was also slightly annoyed that the people in Freeside don't like Boone.

Fallout 2 is IMO the best in the series, with 1 and new vegas tying for 2nd... and fallout tactics being somewhere off to the side, because the CTS just makes it have such a different feel, that I can't make my self judge it unfavourably compared to the rest of the series.

An example I usually use to explain why I love Fallout 2 is where my char was saved by the magically appearing trunk bug/feature. The trunk had spawned in the map and allowed me to stock up on ammo and meds thereby letting my char and his team survive the fight.

I played a bit of the first Fallout before I played number 3. I miss the turn-based-ness of the older game. Also the greater frequency of encounters where you could choose a side.

Fallout 3 is the only game where I have almost squealed when ambushed.
