Feh. More Michael Jackson rubbish.

Seriously, the man was a great singer/dancer, but the way the media goes on about his death is almost as annoying as The Dark Knights hype.

In any case it makes me sick; when accused of being a kiddy-fiddler the media and other celebrities shunned and spat on him, but he dies and he's suddenly the best thing since sliced bread. Can anyone else smell the stench of hypocrisy surrounding his death?

couldnt have put it better myself....

My thinking exactly.
The episode is an old one - I think its season 5. As said before, no one batted an eyelid when he was alive, so why now?
It might have been a little insensitive, but as I remember it was a passing 5 second joke, not a sustained attack on him...

If you can't laugh at stuff, then what the hell is the point to life? I'll laugh if I find something funny period, regardless of who it offends. I don't remember ever own a required appeasement card.

I don't recall this. I do recall lots of celebrities defending him though, saying he didn't molest children.

OT: That scene was hilarious. And shouldn't be taking seriously. Besides, like everyone else said, it was years back so it's no big deal

This reminds me of the time i was watching a top gear rerun, Shortly after jade goodys death, where clarkson calls her a racist, pig faced waste of skin (or something like that).

They made that episode a while back, I have it on DVD actually >.> so it's not like it was made after his death. Although it was quite funny :)

Well, I always thought people were complete assholes to him in life. I'm very happy that in death, people are at least giving him a break and appreciating what he has done. I mean, people were able to defend Tyson on the Fight Night cover.

On the other hand, I have to point out that there were very few even neutral things said about MJ, and I think the people who did such scathing charactures should be embarassed. Also, the Nastalgia Critic [http://www.thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/nostalgia-critic/5929-moonwalker] did an honest review of Moonwalker before he died. And I think that diserves a cookie.

And that having been said, I find Family Guy to be such hateful humor that I can hardly bear to watch it.

The episode has been originaly aired before his death. What you saw was a re-run.

You know what would be interesting, if Michael Jackson died on the same day as Barrack Obama was sworn into office, who would get on the front page? This is mainly just me venting about stories that the press gives way too much coverage but its an interesting thing to ponder.

an absolutely great question, and one that I think can be answered in two words.

Michael Jackson.

Obama made history. Absolute history. There were three days of cheering and saying "yes we did it", and then a sombering up realizing what's in store for the country. Sure, there were mini celebrations in the black community and from Democrats, but after 3-4 days the euphoria left. And more over, only half of America was happy about Obama getting in.

Just doing a quick google to make sure of Jackson's day of death (june 25 2009), I see this posted 48 minutes ago. "Michael Jackson Fans Gather For Vigil At London's O2 Arena [http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1616195/20090714/jackson_michael.jhtml]" One day short of a ten day festival of mourning and celebrating. And I hardly think it would be the last honoring of MJ.

Obama would be mentioned every now and again, like people remember Farrah Fawcett also died on the same day, but the world all over had still loved MJ. He would get top billing.

They just air a random episode. Fox proably didn't notice it until it was to late. And even then it was from like 2006.

there's another old one,in which lois says something to chris that went like "you could end up sexually confused like michael jackson" then it went to a fake commercial for frosted mini wheats. "the kid in me likes the frosted side" said black kid michael. than michael from now comes up "and the adult in me likes the kid in me." but you, sir, are wrong because these are old episodes, not new ones set on attacking him.
