HALO. A thousand times. Single player is just boring to me, and the multiplayer seems to be almost entirely populated by the worst humanity has to offer.

I played an hour of the first Mass Effect and felt none of them were for me. I also wasn't impressed by the Matrix. Maybe it was that I watched it 13 years after it came out, but I just didn't see what made it impressive for the time other than the visuals.
I think you should retry Mass Effect, I hated the first 3 hours of the game but now it is one of my favourite franchises.

I dislike Western fantasy MMO's in general, the art style always seems to annoy mean there always seems to be a lack of originality "Oh look a stereotypical Elf wearing skimpy demon armour, it must of took them ages to design that"

I never really enjoyed any of the Valve franchises, Half Life 2 feels really empty, Portal lacks replay value and the jokes are done to death by everybody, Left 4 Dead never interested me.

Just gonna say that Valve games never appealed to me and leave before this thread is consumed by flame wars.

Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, or any of those Military Shooters. Also Gears of War, Halo, and Half Life.

Pokemon. I just don't get the grinding and repetitive traveling from town to town. And the sorry excuse for a story.

The 3D Metroid games. I owned the Gamecube back in the day, and whilst games like Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker would become the best Nintendo games I've ever played, I just don't get the Metroid games. Slow movement, auto-targeting which removes all of the fun in the battles. Boring puzzles. Uninspired locations. Boring, boring, boring.

Assassin's Creed

I have had some fun with the series especially botherhood's multiplayer, but the series as a whole just gives me a resounding meh. To a point were I don't even feel like even renting Assassin's Creed 3, let alone buy it. Also, the first game was one of the worst games i have ever played this gen.

I feel the same way with COD, Gears of War, Borderlands and Halo.

Im not a big fan of the big fighting game series (Street fighter, Tekken etc) mostly because I really suck at them. That said I suck at them because they don't really interest me enough to learn how to play them properly.
This as well...

For me, it's most of the "military shooters" out there. Halo 1 did something for me, but any of it's sequels did nothing. I think the main problem is the regenerative health, as I do regularly enjoy shooters in general.

Also, anything by Blizzard. Starcraft was fun, but if I look at anything Blizzard has done over the entirety of it's lifetime, All I can think to say is "eeh... That's nice?"

Oh, and Metal Gear. The cinematics and the weird shit that happens in the games are enough to make me scream "Make a fucking Japanese anime already! FUCK!"

I don't think I can say that about any franchise as a whole, but nothing has failed to grab my interest like the first Gears of War. Couldn't get into it. I even tried co-op with a friend, and that didn't feel any less bland. I actually have GoW2 right there, sitting on my shelf, unopened, but GoW1 turned me off the series enough to drop my interest in it below freezing.

Valve's sequels all seem to leave me cold too. I loved the original Team Fortress, the first Portal and Half-Life...but the sequels, not so much. DotA and L4D I hated to begin with, so that's not their fault. Oh, I guess I do have entire franchises that do nothing for me!

Metal Gear Solid. I got about an hour each into 2 and 3, and I just don't get any of it. Every single thing I was doing seemed much much harder than it needed to be.
They have sharp learning curves. I couldn't really enjoy 2 until a few hours in when it stopped being Super Meat Boy to me. After that it was great, but before it was a few hours of "WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY".

My entry is Mass Effect. I can see all of it's elements that are important to the industry, and am glad it exists. It just doesn't seem very fun.

Mass Effect. I normally like RPGs (my favorite game ever is Planetscape:Torment), but I have never been able to lose myself in the game like with other ones. The characters are kind of boring (as well as the plot) and the shooting mechanics are terrible. I do love the kind of freedom it gives you, but that is trumped by it's other shortcomings.

Also pretty much any Legend of Zelda game. They don't have much of a plot beyond "Save the princess" and I never really liked the general game mechanics.

Nah. I already know how it all ends because I have watched others play it. That and I hate how the people look like their faces are made of wet rubber in the first one.

Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Left 4 Dead, Half Life, Gears of War, LittleBigPlanet, Halo.

Mass Effect (1 and 2) bored me to sin to the point that I couldn't get more than halfway through them. I felt that the RPG elements were shallow at best and the story really wasn't compelling.

Assassin's Creed was a really interesting concept, but ACII just killed anything unique about it, and it has just gotten worse with the years.

Left 4 Dead was, just like AC, killed by its sequel.

Half Life, to me always has just felt like a standard FPS. Even with some of the things it did kind of innovate, the core mechanics were nothing beyond a standard FPS driven by a boring story.

Gears of War.....brown and grey.....need I say more?

LittleBigPlanet, while adorable, is possibly the most boring game I've played from this generation.

Halo.....um.......it just never clicked with me. The story, characters and mechanics just feel uninspired.

Honestly, all the Xbox 360 exclusives (with the exception of Dance Central).

Not to say that they aren't fun to play, I just haven't found them to be interesting enough for me to go out and get a 360. I came to the PS3 for the graphics and stayed for the awesome exclusives.

Call of Duty. I feel as if this franchise represents all that I hate about the gaming industry.

Final Fantasy. Just can't see myself enjoying any of the games and I don't really like RPG's. Same with Borderlands, I just don't find it that fun and didn't care when the second came out either.
Fallout and Elder Scrolls series haven't really interested me either, which surprised my friends and since they've been trying to get me into them.
Quick Question:
Should I play Skyrim or New Vegas? [small](Sorry bit off topic there)[/small]

Grand Theft Auto: I can't, for the life of me, enjoy that game more than a couple hours. After that, I just get bored.

DOTA or DOTA-like games. I don't find them appealing, at all. I can respect them as well crafted games, but I can't be engage by them. Also, the communities are rather poor.

Similar to that, MMOs in general...
