I do tenuously hold to the theory that Azula has raped or attempted or wanted to rape several character in A:TLA

I am ok with this.

She does refer to Suki as her "favourite prisoner"

Also Teen Titans Robin is Dick Greyson, dats connon yo.

The only problem with that is that Dick Greyson is the Robin who becomes Nightwing, not this new guy.

But since Nolan's Robin is an amalgamation of various other robins and not Dick Grayson.
He can't be Nightwing. At least not the existing Nightwing.

Is that your point? That Batman can be dead because there's a Robin in play (But not Dick Grayson).
my point is that since the nolan robin is a collection of various robins, he might skip the robin step and become the closest thing to batman: nightwing.

so we may not see another batman movie but a robin/nightwing spin off in the future.
You don't honestly think that WB is just going to let go of their Batman cash cow do you? I would bet you dollars to doughnuts that we will see a Batman reboot in the next two years. It wont be a Christopher Nolan style Batman movie perhaps, but I can't even believe for a second that they would just jump to Nightwing. Nightwing is not widely known. Heck, the only reason Marvel got away with Thor (a super hero that most of your average movie goers know little about) is because they announced ahead of time that all the movies would tie into an Avengers flick.

My guess is that WB has dreams of a Justice League movie and there is actually evidence of it in Green Lantern.

This character is Amanda Waller, she is kind of like the Nick Fury for some of the newer Justice League stuff. Less of a super hero and more of a coordinator though. Her inclusion clues us into the idea that they want to do a Justice League thing. The only problem was that Christoper Nolan was so against the idea of 'his' Batman being included in a Justice League film that WB was unable to try and add clues to a JL movie in there for fear of loosing the director that had 'redefined' Batman for them.

Christopher Nolan has been quoted as saying things like, If they ever include Robin in my Batman films I wont do it.

What I found to be the most odd thing about TDKR is that there are all sorts of references to the Batman comic continuity in this final movie (See the latest from Movie Bob for more details about it). Do you know what this screams to me? It screams that WB was desperate to try and rekindle the hardcore Batman comic fans interest so they could set it up for a reboot that would be able to include JL. Then they can just write off the Nolan films as 'alternate universe' just like DC loves to do when they screw something up and the fans don't like it.

That's what I thought until I realized his name was "Robin" John Blake.

At first I couldn't see them doing a Robin film and figured they'd go straight to Nightwing and do the Robin stories when Christian Bale needed more money.

But since they specifically tied him to Robin (Making sure even non-nerds got who he was.) It doesn't make sense to skip the Robin stories and go to Nightwing who many people won't know (Especially when its not even the Nightwing Robin; RJB could become Red Robin instead of Nightwing)

I think it's guaranteed we're getting a Robin movie in some form; I just don't think its gonna be a Nightwing movie.

But if Hollywood thinks it can turn a dollar; never rule out any sequel; prequel or movie idea. Hollywood is shameless.
I don't think there is enough average movie goer interest in creating a Robin movie. Robin to most people is either the doofy Dick Grayson Robin from Batman and Robin (which fans HATE) or the Dick Grayson Robin from Batman TAS who only appeared in 30 of the 85 episodes. A Robin movie would either be weaksauce that is totally unrelated to Robin at all, or it would be very hard for the average movie goer to even follow it. Heck, I am willing to be that most average movie goers don't even know there are multiple Robins.

I think they only threw that Robin bit in there for the eventual reboot of Batman (See above). That way they can throw Robin into a JL movie. It will be one more name that people can recognize. JL has a lot of non mainstream heroes in it. Unless they go with a more Super Friends route and only inclued Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman & Robin and Aquaman. But if they were going for that, why bother with a Green Lantern movie?

Can you imagine the average movie goer's reaction to a character like Martian Manhunter?

Either way WB will run it into the ground. They already proved that can't handle the super hero movies with Green Lantern. The only reason the Batman movies wound up as good as they are is because Christopher Nolan's death grip on what was allowed and what was not allowed to appear in 'his' Batman films.

I believe...

-That 007 is a codename, not a specific person

-That Derpy Hooves is a kind, yet clutzy walleyed mailmare with two adopted Unicorn daughters and a love of muffins. (Chew on that prissy soccer moms!) Also, I like to think that stallion with the hourglass cutie mark is that universe's version of the Doctor, and the name "Time Turner" is just a pseudonym.

However, I don't follow the "Mass Effect 3 Indoctrination Theory"... mainly due to my staunch refusal to believe that Shepherd was in the end, not in control of his/her own actions...

Simply put, post theories of video games/movies/books/whatever that you (like to) think are true, and why you think that.
Well, I watched The Dark Knight Rises a couple of days ago, and unless a sequel contradicts me, I will keep believing that
Bruce really died in the explosion and Alfred seeing Bruce in Florence is just a hallucination, because Bruce faking his own death and moving to Florence just seems out of character.
Also, inb4 Indoctrination Theory.
I don't quite buy the theory (about The Dark Knight Rises ) because (after seeing the film three times),
Selina Kyle is definitely sitting next to Bruce. Why would Alfred see Bruce with a jewel thief and not some random woman? He doesn't know that they kissed/got together just before Batman took the nuke away. It also defeats the point of the scene because if none of this is actually happening then Alfred doesn't get what he wants for Bruce and is left as just a delusional old man.

Accept the possibility of: many.
Like: not quite as many, but still plenty.
Believe: very few, if any.

I firmly believe in the "Squall's Dead" theory from FFVIII. He's mortally wounded at the end of disc 1 and everything thing else that follows is him in a dream just before he dies, trying to answer all the questions he has in his head. The best support for this theory is that after disc 1 the game starts getting more and more outlandish and fantastical, he becomes the big hero and it ends with him in his personal version of heaven. His wound is also never mentioned again, you'd think at least one of his friends would ask why there wasn't a big hole where his heart should be.
I knew somebody would ninja me.

I don't know if I 'firmly believe' it, but it makes a lot of sense considering the context the game itself gives you.

Other than that, I don't think I've run across many fan theories, because... well, I tend to steer clear of any large grouping of a particular fan-base over the internet. The Bioware Forums and Sonic fandom taught me that much.

Perhaps, but do you really think that

Jon Snow is going to STAY dead?
Considering there a red priestess around and there's wrights like Coldhands.

But my point was that after dying, Jon really isn't bound by his oaths to the Nights watch.
And seriously...
Fuck the Nights Watch. Fuck them hard. At first I was all shocked and thinking "HOW COULD THEY DO THAT???", then I remember that they already killed the previous Lord Commander. Those guys are assholes! /fanrage
Considering Jon was abandoning everything that the watch stood for, as well completely ignoring his vows, the actions by Bowen Marsh and co were completely justifiable. Not that it matters as he will come back alive somehow, whether it by being resurrected by Melisandre or by warging into Ghost (the prologue told us that wargs can do this upon death).

There's a Buffy The Vampire Slayer episode where Buffy keeps switching between two realities, one where she's in an asylum and is being told that the whole Sunnydale/hellmouth thing is all her crazy imagination, and the normal setting of the show.

It really keeps you guessing what's real, but I'm still convinced she's actually crazy. (Very last scene of the show actually confirms that, but my friend absolutely refused to believe any of it heh.)

Also remember that Robb named Jon his heir against Cats pleas, though only Howland Reed and the current ruler of Bear Island (maege?) know this. So he could just become a straight up King in the North if R+L=J isn't true, but I'm almost certain that is true.

Thank you, all the people, who forgot to spoil a special something about the ending of The Dark Knight Rises. You all know who you are, and what you are talking about.

On-topic, I have to agree with the multiple 007's theory. It has a couple of holes (Roger Moore's Bond mourning at the grave of Tracy, George Lazenby's Bond's wife of a day), but the idea of them all being the same person has more holes than Swiss cheese.

Also, if you watch "The World is Not Enough", pay close attention to the scene where the mission to go after Renard is handed out to the person sitting next to Bond. On the other side of Bond is another agent. Assuming it is all the 00 agents there, sitting in order, one of those two agents are 006. However, 006 went traitor and died in Goldeneye (Alec Trevelyan). Therefore, the scene establishes the fact that after one 00-agent is finished off, another agent is promoted to 00-agent, and is given the number again.

I'm probably going to get a lot of shit for this but...Lyra and Bon Bon are totally a lesbian couple.

Also, for video games, probably the indoctrination theory, that's about it.

I wouldn't say I believe it, but I do really like the "Squall is dead at the end of Disc 1 theory". It's validity is dubious, but it would certainly explain a lot.

As for a theory I do believe, I think the "You killed Gary's Raticate" theory is rather plausible. As if that town wasn't dark enough 0.0

Am I the first one to say the Indoctrination Theory for Mass Effect 3?

Edit: It appears I am...

The main reason why I think the point where Shepard gets blasted by Harbinger onward did not happen:

Mass Effect 4. Come on, we're talking about a multi-million selling franchise published by EA here, no way are they ending it with just a trilogy.

"Pure coincidence"? My ass.
I am sure you must have been told already but they confirmed that Shepard's story is over, the endings we have are what we get and any future mass effect games will be about different characters.

Assuming your theory is true: Bioware made an entire trilogy where you try to stop the reapers, you have gathered armies, assets, ships and built the catalyst. Near the end of the series you are shown hallucinations of what the reapers want you to see despite indoctrination not working that way and then we see a ton of cutscenes about these visions. Then they brought out dlc to explain what happens to the galaxy in these fake visions. And that is how the series ends.

Not with us ever actually seeing whether or not we win, but with visions of things that don't happen.

That is the ending.

Right.

The free dlc they brought out "to bring closure" as bioware themselves stated existed solely to bring us closure to what happens to our companions in a bunch of dreams.

Red Vs Blue.

Allison (The Woman Tex is based on) is Noble Six. Badass? check. Shot of destroyed helmet? check. Stopped right before she achieves her objective?.. Okay, Six got the Chief off the planet, but you could say surviving was her ultimate end-goal, which she did. Also, did I forget to mention badass?

I rather like Yahtzee's theory about Prototype 2, as it explains a lot of the plot holes.
