So, just now I started to write just for fun in a thread about the new comic of Grey Carter

This comic use the very well known characters Calvin and Hobbes.

So I started to read this thread until I saw someone posted a "sequel" of the Calvin and Hobbes comic series "Bacon and Hobbes".

At first because I didn't read a lot of this comic in the past, I thought these comics was actually a official for the sequel of this series, but I was wrong.
These specific comics was made by a fan of the series. And it seems he was really serious to create these comics as close as possible like the original.

Even if I didn't read a lot of Calvin and Hobbe comics, my respect to the artist trying his hardest to make these comics.

So with that said, please tell me other kind of works made by fans for any kind of movie/book/comic/videogame etc that it could be an official work cause of the the time and work one or a team wanted to make.

There you go, and my submission would be the diplomacy mod for Mount and Blade: Warband, http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=116424.0. It adds a ton of content and options that make diplomacy something that is actually useful, rather than non existent.

Probably waaaaay too obscure, but the "Nephil's Gambit" scenario for Blades of Exile. Especially as the official ones that came with BoE were a bit shaky.

A lot of the custom graphics for BoE scenarios were top rate as well, though making those is surprisingly easy.

Without know nothing about this fanfic, I find it very difficult if Commander Shepard is dead to be an official release.
But if the writing is so good as you said, no problem at all to see come true.

The Crusader Kings II - Game of Thrones mod. Even the original game, that took place in historical Europe, was far more Game of Thrones-like than any of the official GoT games, but the Westeros mod just made it perfect.

My Mass Effect, Halo and Fallout crossovers I can't really think of any at the minute. Although there are a couple of fan made endings to ME3 that I know deserve to be made canon for obvious reasons.

Thats the one. And normal weird, it kinda happens when you give freedom to role players, they come up with some "unique" factions. Back story wise it was quite solid. I simply have not played for a while, a year perhaps, and as a major patch/update came out, I am not really up to date with the lore.

Also, obligatory Falout:Equestria mention. But really, that novel *IS* one of the greatest products of out times, I'm almost tempted to call it a tragedy that it's just a mere fanfiction, so it is destined to stay relatively obscure. But then again, I love fanfiction, and anyone else who is prejudiced against it actually deserves to miss it, so it's all right.

I'm gonna have to go with this. Unlike you, I don't normally like fanfiction, and I begrudgingly checked it out after hearing all the praise for it (and that it was longer than Lord of the Rings).

It really is a shame that it's just a fanfiction. It was one of the best things I had read in a long time. Though I don't see how they could make it official...

Other than that, I'll also give another to MERP. I've always wanted an open-world RPG for LOTR (Lotro not counting) and this looks like the closest we're gonna get for the time being. I hope they resolving the ridiculous legal issues.

The only thing I can think of is Damnatus, a low budget live action movie set in the 40k verse. It originally had the backing of Games Workshop, but then there was some conflict with the british/german IP laws, so GW had to "officially" stop backing it. It was still pretty good though.

They should retcon Event Horizon into 40k canon too whilst they're at it.
