Discovery [http://discoverygc.com/wiki/Main_Page] for Freelancer has done a great job on expanding the universe, though it might have gone a bit weird.
OK, I think you all should just stop it. It's getting ridiculous. I've seen Freelancer mentioned several times over the past couple of weeks, including that there are good mods for it. And just the mention of Freelancer normally makes me want to install it but I don't want to, since I want to focus on other things...don't be giving me links, no-o-o-o-o...

OT: In the Wake of Gods [http://www.strategyplanet.com/homm/wog/] the unofficial expansion to Heroes 3. It's...simply amazing. It introduces loads of options and the ability to add more. But moreover, you don't even have to use everythings. You could unclide only minute changes to your game, going as little as just banning Summon Boat (say, because you don't play on a water map) through to doing pretty much an overhaul, where the original content gets to under 50% - new creatures, new items, new heroes, rebalanced races, change in how skills work, including an entirely new mechanic in the face of commanders (think of them as Heroes 3 meets 4 - special units that level up, get skills, but also fight on the battlefield), even levelled creatures, and so on.

EDIT: Oh, and Clan Quest Mod for Bloodlines [http://www.planet-vampire.com/modules/Burgermeister/index.php] is also really good. It's one of my favourite mods ever, and was before the Dance of the Thrashing Dragon quest (it was in v3.0)

This is Kalliyan and her quest is probably my favourite fan made quest/story ever.

This. [http://www.moddb.com/mods/ultimate-apocalypse-mod] Ultimate Apocalypse is everything the first Dawn of War series should have been, gameplay-wise.

I'll vouch for Renegade, too.
It's probably the best crossover Mass Effect has, and the only thing really wrong with it is the fact action sequences are dragged out.

My Mass Effect, Halo and Fallout crossovers I can't really think of any at the minute. Although there are a couple of fan made endings to ME3 that I know deserve to be made canon for obvious reasons.
I tried reading New Origins. It felt really wish-fulfillment-y.

All Star Wars books written by Timothy Zahn. I'm disappointed that Episode VII isn't going that route. The Thrawn trilogy is just awesome.
I am quite curious now.
What kind of route Timothy Zahn wrote for the Episode VII?
I saw some picture and I guess the protagonist is.......Luke Skywalker's daughter?
That's Mara Jade, former Hand of the Emperor (dark side hitman) turned smuggler turned Luke Skywalker's wife.

And I say no to Fallout Equestria. I don't care what people say about it, but lines like "Celestia's solar flaring orgasms!" just takes away any credibility or notions of good writing you might say it has.

That and the fact that they were arrogant enough to get them printed and started to sell the damn books without Bethesda's consent.

Hands down, the winner of this is the astoundingly awesome fanfic Mass Effect: Interregnum. [http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5775707/1/Mass_Effect_Interregnum]

The writing is just superb, only surpassed by the character development. I'd love to see it officially published.
Without know nothing about this fanfic, I find it very difficult if Commander Shepard is dead to be an official release.
But if the writing is so good as you said, no problem at all to see come true.

[Btw, I know that Shepard is dead cause it is the first thing you read in the page, so no a spoiler for the people want to read this].
Hence the name - it's set in the period of ME2 during which Shepard has been murderfucked by the Collectors.

GW should poke around the w40k forums for fan made codexes because 90% of the time they are far more balanced than the official ones.

Not to mention any custom lore they have in them is much much better than official stuff written by idiots like Ward.

.........solar flaring orgams................I was about to ask where and when this happened, but I said f*ck it.........did they really published a book about Fallout Equestria?

The Mass Effect 3 Fan ending on deviantart, the proper goddamn ending, the one we wanted and were promised; you get to see all of your war assets fighting, the entire galaxy vs. the reapers, and you only have to pick the 'multiple choice' ending if Shepard didn't pass multiple speech checks.

Maybe this is the reason why the official stuff don't bother to make something good.
Because they already know the fans will use their time to balance by themself the game as they suit them better.
My opinion of course.

I just updated my first post with the most fan-works I saw in my Thread and I must say I am very impressed with that.
But of course if some people think some of the fanworks are not worthy to be here, please tell me so with a good reason to delete them.

Thank you for reading ^^

I google Renegade, but I didn't find something about this cross-over.

Definitely Pkmn: World of Chaos by teejay-number13.

It takes the cute and cuddly aspect of the Pokemon Game series/Show a back seat and instead gives us a world where mysterious dark clouds cause wild Pokemon to become blood thirsty killers that kill all humans and caught Pokemon indiscriminately. Humanity must fight off these Pokemon and establish safe havens for humans and caught Pokemon while investigating the strange phenomenon of the dark clouds and a way to stop their dark influences.

It stars TJ, an ex-Pokemon trainer that has given up training Pokemon after his entire party is killed in a mission during the early years where the dark clouds emerged. Over time he beings to befriend Pokemon and takes up being a Pokemon trainer again. Using the last known Snag machine, he is able to steal other trainer's Pokemon and willfully recruit them to his team. He also is able to Snag an evil Gardevoir, which later turns out to become a Dark Pokemon, who over time begins to bond with TJ, much like how friendship is required to cleanse Dark Pokemon in Pokemon Colosseum and Gale of Darkness.

The characters include a lot of familiar faces from the Game series and shows, such as Prof. Fennel, Prof. Oak, Team Galactic, Bianca, Cheren, and all Gen 1-5 Pokemon, and pre-Black 2 & White 2 events.

Aside from the flash animations that continue to improve with quality, as well as optional playable battles, the more recent episodes include better audio and voice acting.

Yeah, the team behind Fighting is Magic did a professional work to bring to us this game.
However to become an official game? I don't think so.
Exept of course the developers have a solid story to reason the actions of the ponies to beat each other in a Fighting Tournamet.

But If I have to put a fanwork for MLP, I will put the Cutie mark Crusaders Ask Blog.
Reason except the exelent quality of comics this Tumblr offer?

Here is the link. Go here to see many other animations from this GOD!!!!

They are very good. But the aren't fan made. They are official EU novels that sold really well.

A question cause I am not a fan and don't know many things about Pokemons:
Did was an Official Pokemon work in the past that it was indeed dark and grim? Because as I said if something deserve to be official it must have also the "spirit" of the official work.

Dragon's Charge, a Dragon's Dogma fanfic that sets the story in the modern day and, in a clever bit of writing, never names the Arisen of the story.

Not anymore it seems, cause Disney have plans to film Star wars: Episode VII.
Or I am wrong? I don't know really....

The Arisen? Who is Arisen?
Also does the original game justify somehow that in the future there will be Dragons and similar creatures?

My point is, that the definition of a "fan made" product is (and this may shock you with my maverick opinion) a project made by fans. The Zahn books were official spin off novels that were officialy published and acknowledged by Lucasfilm and Expanded Universe canon. The movies may be different. But at least in terms of the EU the Zahn books don't need to be on the list as they are officialy recognized.
