Fanboy Arguments you've Heard

What are some arguments you've head fanboys/girls spew out when defending their favourite game? And how do you reply to these, come on show us your wit!

Here's a list of the bread and butter arguments, which do you hate the most?

- you're not in the target audience!
- this game is perfect in every way
- Lets see YOU make a better game
- you're just jealous (of what excatly?)
- This game has more soul/heart then those gorefests.
- Its a game for SMART people.
- If you don't like the game don't play it! (note: this is a valid argument in a universe with time machines)
- This game has artist merit, play it like it was a story!

Well I was going to buy a ps3 (decided to go 360 instead cuz of community) and when i told my friend this he said, " The only reason you are getting that is because halo isn't on it, and you suck at halo (which i f***ing rock at btw) because it takes skill!"

To be honest it is a perfectly viable argument (points for good vocabulary?) because if i don't like a game then i wouldn't buy it anyway, but it is the fact that he said i suck when he only plays custom games because he gets rocked on matchmaking.

Oh and my personal favorite Ive heard is

"you don't know what this game is about, it is a work of art and it takes soul to understand it."

Oh, so your saying I don't have a soul? well apparently you just sold your soul to (insert company here) so that isn't a valid argument.

I will only let that argument pass if it's Valve cause they are fucking awesome.

My personal favorite is, "Only retards don't like (insert game here, usually OoT)."

A more logical version of that would be, "most people who played it as a kid love it". You can't expect htre 12 year olds on LIVE to know what a Zora Sapphire is.

All of the above. They piss me off. I like a game, and I admit I get obsessive, but when someone disses it I just say "Oh. Okay, thanks for your opinion." It's the reason I can only go on sites made by my friends or the escapist [why I'm here].

I played and loved the original Zelda when I was 12. Played it sequels throughout my teenage years, and I still hated OoT.

I love Zelda, I hated Mask, I didn't (at the time) like the multi-tasking the game made me do, and the 3 day time constrant.

I hate the "you just don't get what it's all about" argument...
Best one I've ever heard is, well not technicaly an argument, but it was just so funny, was talking about Halo Wars:
Friend: "Halo Wars is one of the best games I've ever played."
Me: "I don't like it, it's not a game for me... I just don't like armoured super-space marines shooting eachother, but now in RTS style..."
Friend: "To be honest, I bought it because it's Halo, but I don't like it."
I responded: "You serious?" I thought: "Booyah!!"

Whenever a fanboy starts ranting about how godly the PS3/360/wii is, I just tell them they all cower in the shadow of awesome that is the Sega Genesis. The best system ever made because it has more attachments and blast processing.

It's funny to confuse the hell out of them with marketing facts and add ons that were almost good ideas..almost.

-It's Microsoft (Yeah, I've actually heard this one)

man, most of the ones i hate have already been said but, i have two that piss me off to no end.

1: But its a stupid idea lol.(WTF?! HOW.....WHAT....AHHHHHHHH!)
2: If you want to see Fighting Games done with at least some complexity play(Insert Fighting Game NOT released on the wii.)

Interestingly, except for the first one, they all apply to PCs...

My favorite, though? "Xbox has WAY better graphics than anything computers can do!"

Correct response: "You do realize that an Xbox IS a computer, right?"

It has worked in all but one instance.
