Fanboy Arguments you've Heard

Once I was saying to my friend that I would like a PS3 more then a 360
This is how it went:
Friend:"Well, you only like it more because you suck at Halo, I beat you every time!"
Me:"What? I'll play you after school!"
So we did go to his house, played some Halo 3, and I beat him, then he said that he's better in ODST, then I beat him in ODST. Then he said that "Microsoft is the best developers this generation, like, they made the 360, the PC, and the Mac! Sony's a pussy developer."

I believe in the idea that 'less is more', so I think such laser-guided genius of argument-prowness such as "your gay", "your mum", "your wrong" and, of course, "your a idiot" takes the cake whenever there is one.

But really, things such as "You lack proper taste in video games" and "You're too stupid to like it" are the ones that are most prone to make my blood boil.

No, me not liking what you like does not mean I'm stupid, nor does it mean I lack taste in games. It simply means that I did not like the game. Get over yourself/it.

EDIT: Oh right, how I respond. I'll go ahead and apologize, trying to make the sarcasm so blatant that it's barely funny.
That or ignore the person in question.

Whenever a fanboy starts ranting about how godly the PS3/360/wii is, I just tell them they all cower in the shadow of awesome that is the Sega Genesis. The best system ever made because it has more attachments and blast processing.

It's funny to confuse the hell out of them with marketing facts and add ons that were almost good ideas..almost.

You are now my hero.

Pretty much everything that a fanboy says will annoy me. The only thing that annoys me more than fanboys are elitists and the people that rant and rave about someone not being a gamer because they don't worship a certain developer or game. I do have to disagree with this point however:

- you're not in the target audience!

All genres of movies/books/games have a target audience that they cater to. As long as the person making the point doesn't use it in a downright retarded manner to defend every shortcoming in a game like a piss poor plot, bad controls and terrible camera, than it's a valid argument.

Funny thing. In Asia, that's actually an argument against the Xbox. I don't exactly blame them, because the stereotype there is that Japanese products have a good chance of outlasting you, and American products will break the day after the warranty expires. But it's still a terrible argument.

"Lets see YOU make a better game" is my personal favorite. In fact a bunch of people on this forum used this very argument when I expressed my displeasure concerning the PC version of MW2.

All the people that say Avatar had a shit story, then turn around and say Dances With Wolves or Pocahontas was better, even though they'll be quick to tell you it's the same story. So the "shit story" is worse than the other movies with the same "shit story"?

Also, I can bet that no one that uses that argument saw ANY of those movies.

Console wars. I hate them. I'll poke fun at "rival" consoles with my friend but honestly, we don't give a shit. I made my choice (360) and he made his (PS3). We've been best friends for six years with no end in sight.

Also: he's a Mac and I'm a PC. We don't genuinely argue about that either.
