Fanboy Arguments you've Heard

Because, the world was a dark and dangerous wasteland with no form, function, or human goal... and THEN: the Lord said "LET THERE BE COD!" And there was COD.

Simply pointing out that "Wolfenstein: 3D" came out a decade earlier nullifies his point. Plus, it was popular. Nothing he says can contradict this.

I love my Genesis don't get me wrong, but it's not a valid argument. I just do it to totally derail the conversation. Especially when you bring up they should make the SegaBD, come on, Sega games on Bluray discs! Think how long those 256 color videos could be, you could probably put every ep of lost on there, and Battlestar galatica!

See? It's totally dumb on my part and just for giggles. If I really want a solid curve ball I'll bring in the Vectrex. Screw your Sony Wiibox 360, it doesn't have it's own monitor or mono speaker, therefore it's obsolete, behind the times and useless!

Probably not, but I got such a good laugh from that Vetrex thing I couldn't help myself. I'll have to think of one for the Colicovision...hmm...

PlayboxWii60? Psh my Colicovision plays both Connecticut Leather Company games and Atari 2600 games with the expansion module! They just took out the backwards compatibility for your Xstation1024x768 so where's your awesome points hmmm? Plus I can use any controller I want, 2600, Genesis, Mastersystem! See that's versatility.

I remember playing some Half-Life 2, and a friend, seeing me carrying an entire arsenal of weapons, said that made the game simple. He said Halo was harder because you could only carry two weapons. I can't exactly blame him for not playing Half-Life 2 (actually I think I can), but saying having two weapons makes a game hard... despite the fact of respawning health, weak enemies, and usually having someone assist you during fights... is a bit too quick to judge.

How many guns are in Halo and how many are in Haze? If there are more in Haze than the entire argument shoots itself in the foot because Haze is better than no game. Ever. [sub]except Big Rigs, and even than it's a close contest[/sub]

That is one of the most retarded things I've ever seen. The amount of guns doesn't make a bloody game better, it's the gameplay. I'm a hardcore TS fanboy and even I can't justify such a moronic argument. I hope you smacked this person upside the head for being an idiot.

The one's I usually hate are any from Valve fanboys. They're among the worst in my opinion.

Anyway, it's usually the whole "thinking man's shooter" argument. It's all subjective, and I just don't find the physics puzzles very thought provoking, aside from "Wow, another one..."
