So I just finished Far Cry 3 and...there's alot that doesn't add up. Spoilers obviously.
1. The Chinese Compass. Jason even says it's "some magical shit" to which Buck, who must also be seeing this, doesn't comment. Does Buck already know it's magic? Why shoehorn magic into a plot that up until now has been realistic, sometimes brutally so? It doesn't make sense thematically. Was it just another hallucination from one of the many drugs Jason is on by now? Probably not since Buck sees the compass glowing, he just doesn't care. Is Buck hallucination, the depraved homosexual terror that wants to stick your bum? He does have an odd habit of just appearing and disappearing like a rapist Batman. If so, who raped Keith?
2. The Ink Monster. Let's assume that it wasn't real, even though in this game, I wouldn't put it past it for that thing to be physically there. It's probably a hallucination of sex with Citra. She's in the same position, above you, that the monster was. Replay that section and tell me they're not fucking while that's going on. But going by the pictographs she shows you beforehand, the monster is...
3. Vaas. How much of a falling out did he and his sister actually have? Vaas stabs you with a knife you had last given to Citra. She sends you on a mission to rescue Rakyat...that turn out to be Vaas. Jason never asks about the shitty intel. Citra is just as crazy as her brother. Was this all a way to test you, to see if you were stronger than her brother? It's implied Vaas was tested the same way, but didn't complete it. Maybe Vaas realized how fucked up his sister was and bailed, especially if part of the ritual involved fucking. But how dead is Vaas? His eyes turn to look at you after he hits the floor. You wake up back at the place you were before you magically teleported. For awhile I was sure that Jason and Vaas were the same person, and I'm still not entirely sure that's wrong. You never see a body. Speaking of that. where's Hoyt's corpse? It also makes Citra stabbing Jason make more sense, out of revenge.
4. Knowledge Of Willis due to hallucination. If everything was just a drug induced trip, how did he know Willis would lead him to the knife? Dennis and the Rakyat don't know Willis is there. This implies the things the drugs show Jason are more or less true.
