honestly, i believe that welfare incentive not working, i mean why would I work if the government kept me afloat. I would probably make welfare available for only 3 months to people and after the three months are up they can't receive it until two years later, or they got a job and are at least trying to support themselves.

Sun Tzu's warning about stupid ambitious people is a good one. Look at what happened in America when banks got welfare recently. We complain about welfare to the poor, but welfare to the rich is costing the planet an awful lot more.

I used to complain about poor people taking the system for a ride. I don't anymore. Why? Because rich people created the system, didn't like the results, and then trashed the system.

Socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor.

We live in a sad age indeed when poor people are vilified and spat on by society for being poor and yet the rich are seen as so wonderful and mighty that they deserve handouts.

It is a sad age when people view the successful in a good light?, why exactly should failures be viewed in anything other than a bad light?

Since when has destroying the entire world economy been applicable the definition of "successful"?

Why is it that someone who has spent everyone elses money on trying to make themselves richer can now ask for billions in handouts from the government while the people he put out of work through his mis-deeds are deemed failures who are unworthy of a few bucks?

I never said it would be easy for them to get a job, they will just have to try harder.

So you want to lock people up and starve them... because they have the audacity to be poor and need help in the first place?

They don't NEED help. They need to get off their lazy butts and got to school/work. And they're poor because they're not willing to do this, they prefer to live off welfare.
