Ties and high-heeled shoes. They are utterly useless, uncomfortable, and they're a safety hazard (having a pre-attached noose around one's neck is about as intelligent as nearly breaking one's ankle with every step). Anyone willingly wearing them deserves a slap in the face, and anyone forcing others to wear them deserves a kick in the crotch.
I think I look rather good in a tie actually, I find they look professional and nice if done right, combined with a vest and dress shirt. Also I don't feel that ties are uncomfortable, although I can easily see how people would think that.

I put forth wallet chains, which I would imagine most of us agree look goddamn ridiculous.
This. And people who use these are often the same people wearing baggy pants with even more chains hanging out in other places. It looks stupid and seems like a potential health hazard.

Gauges and any piercing that isn't on the ear (I will accept small nose and lip rings)

No matter how small, gauges stink, a nayasty smell made of nast.

They're only cool when Strong Bad wheres them and you know it.

As for myself, I cannot, for the life of me, stand Crocs. Those ugly ass rubber shoes that are not flattering in the slightest degree. Some people even wear them with socks and that only adds to the stupid.

I seriously hate those shoes. Even more so when worn with shorts.

If you are of the opinion that a tie is both not uncomfortable (holy double negatives, Batman!) and improves your appearance, then that is perfectly understandable. Just be aware that human history is littered with idiotic accouterments that at the time were considered to improve the appearance of the wearer, but are now laughed at because the wearer was so obviously more concerned with fashion than practicality, and it is only a matter of time before the tie joins the ever-increasing pile. Also, the idea that a piece of cloth can make someone "look professional" (or that professionalism can be judged based on appearance instead of, I don't know, actual behaviour) is hysterical.

I had a college professor a few years back who wore crocs with a suit. Took all of my willpower not to punch him in the face every time he walked into class.

Bintang singlets. They're everywhere.
This, and more this. So many bogans.....

I also hate people wearing sunglasses to look cool. I'm fine with them if its bright or you're driving or whatever, but when you see kids wearing Raybans/other sunglasses indoors or in shade it just makes them look pretentious.

For me, seeing someone wearing either heelies or those John Lennon, lightly-tinted (nearly transparent) sunglasses anger me and make me want to hurt the wearer.
Let's see, you have crocs first off, those are self-explanatory. Second you have those long caps that people wear folded down at the back so they look like some douchey elf. One that someone already mentioned would be those blinds glasses made famous to dumbasses that dont want to see by Kanye West(gee thanks for that kanye). Another annoying thing for me would be people who wear sunglasses in the dark. You wont look cool like that when your bumping into shit.

A) to the people taking this thread too seriously and complaining about people wanting to hurt others or hating people - really, you need to stop. This is clearly a catharsis thread - it asks people to ***** about fashion. Stop raining on our parade.

B) Actually, I need to step in and defend ties briefly.

Ties on guys can be pretty sexy. Mostly because they're such fun to take off of you. **wink**

For guys, I've been told that secretly not buttoning the top button (the collar one) will make wearing a tie suck less. Also it makes your shirt easier to unbutton. I'm just sayin.

Also... ties on girls... are hot. I mean, really hot. I have no idea why, but... damn.

A girl in a tux? Even better.

Is it silly? Sure. But it's also sexy.

FAIL whoever said ties. I can understand not liking the Avril Lavigne take, otherwise, guess what, in the world of adult life, if male, you will need to learn how to wear and tie a tie. Deal.

Flip-flops anywhere outside a pool are not cricket, however. And I still sometimes see people doing that wallet-and-chain thing, which is horrible. (EDIT: Ninja'd on the latter, I see.)
Try living in Perth, Australia. It's so hot here, thongs (which is our word for flip flops) are almost a necessity.

OT: I don't like short shorts. But that's just me, and not a reflection on anyone who does choose to wear them.

Uggs, large hoop earrings (the ones that are simply too. big.), Kanye bar sunglasses-things (s'already been ninja'd, but I feel a need to say it!), and wifebeater shirts. They're all absolutely ridiculous.
I don't want to physically hurt or judge anyone, mind you, these things just don't appeal to me at all.

...What are you talking about? Dressing like you GIVE a damn IS a sign of professionalism, and it's a great way to make an immediate and memorable first impression. I can't tell you how many applicants we turn away at my job because they think it's alright to fucking walk in covered in "bling" and a torn up tee-shirt, drop a pathetic excuse of a crumpled up resume on the counter, and expect us to be in such dire fucking straights that we'd hire their apparently lazy ass. If you don't care enough to look the part, then why would we care to hire you?

Those shoes with wheels built in, usually worn by kids with smug little faces as they glide. They look like orthopedic shoes.

It's not really an accessory but I hate sweatpants and pajama pants, especially when people think it is stylish to wear them outside. Just gross looking, especially when there are sayings across the backside. My mom critiques me, saying that I always dress like I'm a guest at a wedding, but I never got why I'm expected to dress lazily.
