People who can't just relax. Who get wound up over the most meaningless things, have feuds with their friends, who get pissed off too easily over nothing. In essence, people who need to smoke some weed.

I'm in my school's debating society and I think that the best way to solve any argument is just to sit down for several hours and talk about it for ages.

Now, usually, I win such arguments against people willing to prove their point, but when people above me in importance just put their foot down and say something like 'because I said so' or, when I prove them wrong, 'I don't care, just go do it!', I just get so mad. Fine, if you have a good point, I'll accept it and I usually do, but when you refuse to explain it or prove me wrong, then I hate you.

And sometimes, they say that I shouldn't question them because they're in charge. Now, that's not a very good way to run a place. Dictatorships are generally not very nice places. So I say that 'people are only in charge because they are usually right. If you can't prove you're right, you shouldn't be in charge!'

I've never had an answer to it.
Basically, I hate people unwilling to argue.

I have never been able to understand peoples reasons for judging or wishing to punish others if the reason for the hate is something that doesn't effect them, or anyone else in a negative way.

Kind of an awkward wording, but my whole moral system is based around this idea. I won't judge someone for any reason until whatever they are doing is hurting someone else physically or emotionally. Sadly, most people think its okay to hate people for ridiculous reasons, like loving sex ("being a slut") to name one example.

I'm also a member of that club, or as I like to refer to it "don't complain, do something about it instead". Can't stand laziness either, I don't even get it. People have to do SOMETHING or they'll explode. I would imagine.

Also, people who can't admit they have a drinking problem. You know the ones "oh I like to have a beer now and again but that's it I don't drink much!" in spite of them being drunk pretty much every night.
Nope.

I don't understand people that have to do something.

There's nothing inherently good about it.

So... We'll never see eye to eye on that, I think.

Lazyness is hard to explain to someone who is always active.

How do you explain just how difficult it can be to get something done to a person who has never struggled with it themselves?

It pisses me off how glib and self-righteous such people can be. :p

I don't understand why teachers can't use DVD players. Surely they encounter them at home?

The other day we were watching a DVD and it started skipping slightly - the teacher started asking us questions where she was actually describing a vinyl (I shit you not).

I know this one person who when in arguments tends to go with the "i need proof" way of thinking and not just visual he has to personally see what he's asking for or he won't believe what you're saying

Getting annoyed easily.

Almost everyone but me seems to do it. I live my life being happy and enjoying this fleeting speck of time we call life. There's no point in getting aggravated by the little things (and a lot less fun to get aggravated by most big things too), yet everyone stresses and blows their minds over the littlest thing.

People need to chill the fuck out a little.

I can see why you think we won't see eye to eye on it. We probably won't.

The kind of laziness I refer to, at least, is inexcusable. I'm talking really easy things to do which barely take up any of your time. Taking out the trash, washing the dishes, getting a job, renewing your road tax, bothering your ass to learn the most simple tasks involved in your job as you get paid the same as everyone else. These kinds of things are not demanding.

I can understand where people would struggle if, say, they smoked too much dope in which case the solution is simple: stop doing it.

After that people are just making excuses with self-diagnosed anxieties, depression and selective ADD. They might fool some people but a lot can see them for the lazy spongers they are. You may think I'm being unfair or inconsiderate to the plight of some people who genuinely suffer here but I'm not, it's true. One of my best friends, a guy I've known for years, is one of these people and day by day I'm watching him allow his life to pass him by. He claims to have all sorts wrong with him, tries to explain it to me yet he shows no actual signs of aforementioned illnesses, then proceeding to tell people that he has a high IQ and knows so much about everything, why doesn't he use that to his advantage? He is just lazy and wants to play his PS3 for the rest of his life, without a job, living on benefits, with no sign of change. This really pisses me off as I've been working since I left school to get by and some of my tax is going towards him fucking around with his life.

Considering this, I think I've earned the right to be glib and self-righteous.

The lunch people at our school used to have a setup where a student would type on a keypad, and that would go into a register. Now, we still have keypads but the lunch ladies use a touch screen computer. They absolutely can't handle it, it's really mind-boggling.

Basically what I was going to say. With an emphasis on people getting offended. Nothing annoys me more than adults moaning about how their fragile sensibilities were offended by a few words...grow the fuck up.

Recently a friend of mine contracted a bad virus on her laptop because she fell for the "You have a virus" popup scam. I nodded sympathetically but I was mentally shaking my head in dispair. Of course, it's entirely reasonable that she fell for it, not having the internet experience that I do, but from my personal perspective it seems inconcivable that anyone falls for that

Also, when I play the piano and people ask me to teach them something 'simple', I'll make a simple melody out of three notes. When they then play it, they press the wrong notes. From a non-subjective standpoint, that's fair enough, as they haven't been learning the piano for 10 years, and they can't 'read' the keyboard. But I personally cannot understand it, as I can read those notes and the idea of getting C and D confused just confounds me

Have you had any experiences where people make mistakes you KNOW you wouldn't make or don't understand things that you do, and yet you know that the reason is only because you're you and they're not?

A badly-worded question, I know, but you understand, right?
Close-minded people. How can someone be so set in their ways that they won't even hear out any other viewpoint or opinion? It boggles the mind!

Absolutely, Sexual Harassment Panda. Absolutely.

Generally, anybody that gets offended by something not directed at them maliciously is a bit silly. Of course, there are occasional exceptions, but on the whole people just care too much.

I have trouble taking hate that is aimed directly at me seriously, even. "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me"...that's what we tell children, and they get it.
There is just something fundamentally broken about trying to change everybody else...or censor them, instead of just altering yourself so you are better equipped to deal with things.
It doesn't work for everything, racism for example, IS offensive. But petty everyday insults? a bit of dark humour? blasphemy? Nope.

I disagree, and like I said, your attitude pisses me off.

But... It risks turning into one of those inane discussions that cannot be resolved because it has no basis other than various forms of prejudice, bigotry and foolishness from all involved. (myself included.)

And really, what is your point here?

You work? You're doing something with your life?

To what end?

What, ultimately, does it accomplish, and why is it better than what anyone who you think is 'wasting' their life is doing?

Why does it matter?

Do you think working and paying tax makes you any less dependent on everyone around you than someone on welfare?

All it amounts to is a psychological game that doesn't accomplish anywhere near as much as you think it does.

Society would probably collapse if nobody did anything, and yet huge sections of the population do 'work' that doesn't really serve any significant purpose.

And still, you can't know what it means to find things difficult that you yourself find easy.

Anyone that's good at something will fail to see how anyone can struggle with it unless they themselves went through a period where it was difficult for them.

And really, spare me the perverse moaning of someone who obviously resents paying income tax and seeing anyone else benefit from it in any way...

Don't go around attacking people for struggling with what you think is 'easy'.
It's easy for you, but that doesn't mean it literally is 'easy' by definition.

So many people seem to take things for granted that are in fact actual skills, that require practice and time to learn, just because they've never stopped to think about how or when they gained those skills...

It's the willpower fallacy all over again. -_-

Now then, I better go calm down, before I do something really stupid, like contemplate the utter futility of life and the stupid meaningless drivel that people spend their time worrying about...

Yeah, exactly. I can understand the offense if someone doesn't give you a job because you're Indian, or black, or white, or whatever. But 90% of the time people get offended over the most stupid fucking things. And when people make a deal out of it, it's even worse.

Even if someone or something annoys me, I generally don't bother saying anything. Maybe in part because I'm quite timid anyway, but it's largely because I know that it DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER. Annoyance is as temporary as everything else, and it's just not something I've ever cared about.

I take the piss out of myself more than anyone else does, and I know my faults, so it's really quite rare that someone will say something that actually genuinely offends me. Off the top of my head I can't remember a single instance.

People have forgotten how to actually enjoy themselves.

Wilful ignorance.

I understand the 'ignorance is bliss' claim, but when it's going to cause a lot of problems in the future, you really need to rethink your stance.

When I try to teach people simple things on guitar. That's a C, not a G! And that's the third fret, not the second! Are you blind!?

And when I try to teach someone how to play a game. Is it that hard to remember what the buttons do?
