i'm surprised how many people enjoyed thane's interrogation/following the diplomat quest (on the first page anyway). i felt it was a terrible let down considering how well he was introduced.

garrus' loyalty quest was very good. as was legion's and mordin's.

the rest were about what i expected -- with the exception of jack's which i felt was a bit of a let down.

I love all the loyalty side-quests, apart from Grunt's & Jack's.

Garrus- fun wiping out waves of mercs, seeing Garrus kickass, finding out who Archangel is!
Samara/Thane- as someone said, a really nice gameplay shift. Not gunning everything down. Involves subtlety and espionage. Fun & chilled.
Morinth- I just love him to death.
Miranda- the whole revenge/trust/mistake of the perfect kinda thing, and the sweetness of it really.
Jacob- kickass making his dad shoot himself. Really really cool.
Zaeed- badass. Hearing all the innocent refinery workers scream as they burn to death... Urghhh. And then the totally awesome killing of Vido... <3
Tali- amazing writing/acting, she is amazing. Get really close. Sweet. Sad. HUG. And the trial thing is kinda fun, shouting down all the judges.
Legion- just love him as well

Grunt's is my favourite because of the endless supply of enemies. I love the Krogan. EASILY my favourite race.

Tali's for sure. I was glad I finally gained access to the flotilla and the insight into Quarian politics was very interesting.

Thane's loyalty mission comes close tho.

I liked Samara's because it wasn't just another run & gun fight. There were a lot of different aspects that were all interesting - investigating the girl that Morinth killed, doing the stuff in the bar to draw her out, and of course, the choice at the end.

Jacob's was cool - the fate that befell the crew of the crashed ship was neat to discover, and another compelling choice at the end of what to do with Jacob's father.

Miranda's was another good one. It was pretty much another combat mission, but the reason behind it - saving her sister - made it better than a lot of the other ones somehow. And the Renegade trigger at the beginning of it has to be my favorite one in the game -
Shepherd snaps the Eclipse squad leader's neck, then pulls out his pistol to shoot down a huge shipping container hanging on a conveyor belt. A Salarian tech watches it fall and crush his comrades, and then whips around toward Shepherd with a "HOLY SHIT!" expression on his face.
And it had a really funny line, too - the Asari Eclipse captain, to Miranda: "I can't believe Cerberus lets you whore around in that outfit." (or something to that effect) I was like "Oh no she dit'int!"

My least favorite ones had to be

Grunt's - It was just boring, a couple waves of enemies and then the thresher maw. And I'll admit, the thresher took me a few tries to kill, and it was getting kind of frustrating. And the Keystone or whatever was just weird and random - like some messed-up interactive display in a museum or something. They didn't explain it very well.

and Jack's - it was kind of short, and just made up of more ho-hum gunfights. Learning about Jack's time in the facility wasn't that interesting, and kind of cliched. And I was kind of dissappointed that there wasn't a Thorian-like boss fight when they talked about carnivorous plants in the planet description.

Tali's, because it shows loyalty working in many ways (Shepard to Tali, Tali to Shepard, Tali to Father, Father to Tali, Quarians to their own people).

Grunt's had the best fight. I loved the Lord of the Flies vibe of Jacob's.

Those are my top three.
